Masia Santa Mònica

We had a family and friends reunion at this villa, and it’s hard to imagine a better place for it. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone, the interior felt like an antique museum, and the outdoor space had the most incredible view — completely private and peaceful. Ana was extremely helpful and made everything easy for us from start to finish. Truly a perfect stay! Highly recommended!

Masia Santa Monica was the perfect venue for our recent family reunion. We had all the seclusion being set on a hillside and surrounded by mature forest (I came across two deer one morning) gives you, yet were only a 10min drive down to the beach at Platja de les Barques. The house, with its sweeping views out to sea, was comfortable and had all the amenities needed for kids and grownups alike to enjoy a week reconnecting with each other. The kids were most often found in the swimming pool or around the pool table. The kitchen was a pleasure to work in, and with the bbq area outside more than met our cooking needs. The extra freezer was especially welcome during the heat wave. The breakfast nook, endlessly-long dining table and the fairy-light lit outdoor dining table gave us great options for sharing our meals. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning in the bedrooms, which made the sweltering nights challenging. Lots of fans were available to us though, which was great help. Ana was a fantastic host, not just for the lovely flowers she welcomed us with! Our visit was delayed for 2 yrs by covid, and she was as responsive and accommodating through it as she was during our stay. She provided lots of helpful information to help us make the most of this lovely haven in Catalunya, including connecting us with a photographer, taxis, chef, and even booking us a slot at the local tennis club. Particularly helpful was her info on local shops, including their location on google maps. It was a delight to stay in this centuries-old house, so full of character, and to add our own story to its history. We’d gladly stay there again.

Hemos celebrado una boda íntima con familia y amigos en la masía. Ha sido un fin de semana increíble. Cada rincón de la casa es hermoso, y la gestión previa con la propietaria fue excelente. Nos permitieron un early check-in de manera gratuita y también fueron muy flexibles al permitirnos llevar algunas bebidas con antelación para alivianar el trabajo del gran día. Recomiendo mucho este lugar, gracias por todo!!

Lieu magnifique, mais rempli de très mauvaises surprises. La maison, le cadre, la vue… tout porte à trouver le lieu parfait pour des vacances parfaites. MAIS, vous vous retrouvez dans une maison… collée à celle de la propriétaire. En effet, la propriétaire vit dans le prolongement de la maison. Elle ne supporte pas le bruit que ce soit à 14h en demandant de baisser la musique, ou même le soir. Madame fait porter le chapeau aux voisins, alors qu’ils sont avec nous à l’apéritif au même moment. Car oui, une maison immense (qui lui appartient également) est à 3m de celle ci, non visible sur les photos aériennes évidemment. Fuyez cette maison. La propriétaire est hystérique, et rend le séjour horrible.

Preciosa masía para alojarse. Hemos estado el finde pasado y es increíble. Te sientes como en un castillo. La casa está súperbien acondicionada con todo lo necesario, hasta cunas de viaje. La decoración está muy muy cuidada. Algunas habitaciones son preciosas, parecen de una casa de muñecas. Tiene balcón literalmente en la finca que se ve el mar, y detrás de la casa, el monte. Ubicación es perfecta. Está en el monte (salimos andando a recoger bolets) pero a 10 min en coche de la playa. Lo hemos pasado genial. La propietaria, Ana, muy amable. Nos ofreció su ayuda siempre que necesitásemos cualquier cosa. La casa es muy calentita. Cocina super equipada para cocinar de todo. Habitación que da prácticamente a la cocina, para los que lleváis bebés y tengáis que levantaros a hacer biberones por la noche sin molestar al grupo. Prácticamente toca a 1 baño por habitación. Es una pasada!. Es tan grande que te "pierdes" por la casa. 😉 En definitiva: volveremos.
