Masjid Al Hana’ in Kuah, Langkawi, is a convenient mosque for performing Friday prayers, located near Pekan Rabu Kuah with ample parking space nearby. I visited on a Friday and found the mosque quite spacious and well-maintained, making it a comfortable place to perform prayers.
During my visit, there was a notable presence of Arab worshippers, including women who came for prayers. However, I noticed that there wasn’t a designated area for ladies to pray during Friday prayers. Fortunately, after speaking with one of the mosque staff, they kindly arranged a closed-off section to accommodate them, which was a thoughtful gesture.
Before the Friday prayers, there was a sermon focusing on family planning and financial management—an insightful and relevant topic, especially for young individuals preparing for marriage or starting a family. It was a meaningful addition to the prayer session.
Overall, I had a good experience. The mosque is spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it a great place to stop by for prayers when in Kuah. A dedicated section for women during Friday prayers would be a great improvement, but otherwise, it’s a welcoming place for worshippers.
