Writing this as a madrasah parent. Really miss the previous sister who taught last year and would love for the masjid to have her back or have her even make a curriculum for the kids if she can't be there. My kids do not want to attend madrasah anymore because they are not happy. They say the new teacher is not as nice and does not make fun activities for them the way the previous sister did. The previous sister loved them and had fun while teaching them and the kids learned so much. My kids learned to read arabic, Quran, learn about prophets, and all important things for Islam in one year with her.
Also, the people who "run" this masjid I hardly ever see them for madrasah. Only the young son I see sometimes. I think if you are taking ownership of a masjid why are they also not at the madrasah once in a while to see what is happening and going on. They are only there for big events which is not right. Need more commitment. Also need better management. Some weeks the day before madrasah they are saying class is cancelled. This is something that should be mention to parents in advance so we are aware.
Otherwise it is a nice and welcoming masjid.
