The mosque is absolutely stunning — one of the most beautiful landmarks in Medan and a must-see for anyone who appreciates architecture, culture, or history.
From the outside, the building is breathtaking. The combination of white and green colors, the large domes, the detailed arches, and the elegant windows create a majestic and peaceful atmosphere. The architectural design blends Islamic, Indian, and Middle Eastern styles perfectly, making it stand out among all the buildings nearby.
The surroundings are also clean, calm, and filled with a sense of serenity. There are tall trees and open spaces around the mosque, which make the area feel refreshing and spiritual at the same time. Even just sitting outside and observing the details of the structure gives a feeling of peace and admiration.
Although I couldn’t enter, I could see how respectful and well-maintained everything was. The locals nearby were very kind and welcoming, and you can truly feel the cultural and religious importance of this place in the heart of Medan.
If you’re visiting Medan, I highly recommend stopping by Masjid Raya Al Mashun — even if you can only see it from the outside. It’s not just a mosque; it’s a symbol of faith, beauty, and the rich heritage of North Sumatra. 🌿✨
