I’ve visited this location several times with my family, and it consistently exceeds expectations. The environment is welcoming, with both friendly staff and visitors. This orchard is huge with lots of portable restrooms. The main reason why I love this location is that they are dog-friendly. There’s a wide selection of apples to choose from, and the site is especially convenient for seniors, as you can easily drive up and park right next to the trees. The area is well-maintained, and picnics are allowed, which makes for a relaxing experience. The views are absolutely stunning. $40 a bag min for apples. The apples were delicious.

Aaaahh… where do we begin, an exploration of insects, plants, herbs and most of all… apple heaven. They are very organized, most trees are labeled and the bags they provide you with have a map on them! A 200 acre oasis of greenery, I noticed families picnicking and having family fun while others were playing with their dogs. We picked a lot of apples and purchased their apple cider… which we also used to make delicious apple cider pancakes. Its a drive-through orchard and you can basically park in any of five parking areas within the orchard, some roads are rocky, if your car doesn’t have good ground clearance, I suggest parking by the entry, and walking your way through. As you hike up, you will notice picturesque landscapes. I had forgotten what fresh fruit tastes like until I started picking my own, it’s a world of a difference and I highly recommend it. This place is vast with apple trees and a plethora of varieties to choose from. Check out their website, you can also order online and pick up in store. So many things available for all ages.

Apple picking is our new family tradition. We never been here before. We do like that we can drive through. However, would like the roads to be a little more stable. It may have been slippery too due to the rain from the morning. They have a farm animals such as goat, horses and chickens. Kids had fun. And they have a few clean shop with many different organic products. They also have a lot of choices in food. The staff are very nice and accommodating. Would definitely recommend. And the views are breathtaking

Google
Dog friendly farm. Don't need to pick apples for 40 dollars a bag. Drive past the overflow parking...and you can park right next to the cidery and food. Real toilet are at the back near the maze if you don't want to use the port a loos. The fireball cider is great. 6 dollar for half a gallon of cider is a must get on the way out. Burgers were good...wish it was toasted.

Google
A tad pricey for a bag but overall my favorite place to pick. Friendly staff and plenty to pick. If you are a granny Smith apple fan you have to go when they are in season in September. If you wait til October granny Smith apples will be gone. The other apples in the orchard will be ready tho. You definitely will not leave empty. My family and I have been going since I was a little kid and will always go there to pick. The apple cider donuts are a must when the apple picking is done. Warm and delicious

Visited again last weekend, - hands down the best apple-picking experience you could ask for! The breathtaking views alone make the trip worth it, but it’s the old heirloom apple varieties and exceptional value that truly set this place apart. As long as you’re there for the U-Pick, there’s no entrance fee, and you get free parking, free picking bags, and all-you-can-eat apples while you wander the orchard. We always leave with a few bags, but I believe only one bag requirement is also waived on rainy days or late season (post Columbus Day.) It’s not just a farm—it’s a whole experience! Plus, the apples aren’t just for picking; Masker turns them into amazing products like fresh apple pies, donuts and cakes baked right on the farm. Freeze if you must, as they only last a few days, since Maskers do not use any preservatives in their baked goods. They also do candied apples right in front of you, encouraging guests' participation for an unforgettable taste of farm-to-table goodness. The staff is friendly, the amenities are plentiful (clean bathrooms and plenty of space to roam), and you can spend an entire day enjoying the orchard and its incredible views. Make sure to check the new cidery opened this season. Masker Orchard isn’t just an apple farm—it’s the best all-around experience for families, foodies, and anyone who loves a perfect fall day! We have been coming and enjoying it for years, and never disappointed.

Google
This place is a blessing, had a wonderful time picking those beautiful apples with my familly. What a place ! It’s good to breath such a fresh air ! Barbecue was delicious ( ribs, pulled pork, burgers…), there are different types of cider and a lot of nice activities for children ( pony ride, face paintings etc). We even took the time to go around the antics, some cool findings ! I recommend 100% !

Google
We enjoy coming here to do some apple picking because they allow cars in and you can park at the orchard and have a picnic. The area is huge so it doesnt feel so crowded and everybody usually seems to have their own private space. It also a little uphill so the air is fresh and view is lovely. Dogs are also allowed here too. The barn area and stores can get pretty crowded though and they tend to sell out fast with their apple cider donuts. They have a few farm animals, have apple cider for sale (and if you forget they also sell some as you leave the farm by the “gates”). Recently they have added more porta potties so the lines go quick. However the grass all over the apple orchard tends to be left alone so some are overgrown and could reach up to your knees if youre a little shorter like me lol

Yelp
Oh yeah, got a ton of apples. If you are in it for a naturey apple picking experience, skip the shops and hay rides and all that noise. That was all crowded. Go pick some apples

Carina L.

Yelp
Had a lovely afternoon here for a family picnic! Will be returning. Went for the apples, left with the delicious apple cider and even tried the apple pie. Lots of activities for the kiddos and fees are reasonable. Carpool if you don't plan on leaving with $40 worth of apples. Everyone was super friendly but you kind of do your own thing by the apple trees. Highly recommend going in September since the Granny Smiths were almost gone mid October.

Yelp
The Staff Was Amazing Donuts Out Of This World The Map On The Bag Was Extremely Helpful

Phuong D.

Yelp
We went as a big group to Masker Orchard on a weekday so it was not crowded. Each 1/4 bushel bag costs $16 but you can eat as much as you can while picking. The orchard was huge with many rows of apple trees. Many looked to have been picked clean already but there were still plenty of apples left in the higher branches. Unfortunately this meant lots of them were outside of reach for many of us except for a few taller people. I would have been nice to get the long pole to use for picking. There were about 5-6 varieties that were ripe when we went and Jonagold was my favorite. The apples were big, juice and sweet.

Eddie D.

Yelp
Best place to bring family, you can drive to the orchard and pick your apples, sample and choose the right tree to pick. I understand the rules of checking your cars because they may have encountered customers that at sneaking apples out and I have noticed the place has been a bit loud and can get a bit crowded, I wish they can control some of the people bring loud speakers and playing continuously, since every person has a different music preferences and it can be disturbing. So I'm taking 1 star away for this experience.

Steve M.

Yelp
What can I say, it's an apple farm. We went on a Saturday and the place was packed with families picking apples and having picnics. Everyone was having a good time and I enjoyed the atmosphere. The area with the barns had a store, bbq area, and a bakery. All very good and tasty. Not sure about the prices but it seemed expensive, but how often do you do this? So bite the bullet and just try to enjoy. A couple of tips; the "roads" is rock and gravel so take it slow! We also bought a jar of jam and it got confiscated later at the airport security, make sure to put it in your checked luggage.

Bob C.

Yelp
Very fun have been going for years and even went the last day and still got a lot of apples and food truck food was delicious

Barbara F.

Yelp
Large selection of apples. Grounds were very uneven to walk on. Had to be careful not to fall. Offered face painting balloon animals and apple cider donuts for a price. Lots of smelly bathrooms.

Madison K.

Yelp
So I went to Maskers Orchard in Warwick NY for apple picking this year, been going here for 5 years, we had a whole bag full of apples which has increasingly gone up to 40$ per bag, when leaving we had a bag of 4 apples and was going to put it in with our other bag, instead was charged $16 for 4 apples which they considered to be 1/4 of a bag filled???? ... that's highway robbery. I wrote a review just stating that it was a little crazy that we were charged $16 for 4 apples. The owner of the orchard then replied back (picture posted below) insulting me by insinuating that I was attempting a theft to steal the apples. How insane! I replied back with the following ... I am in awe .... Everyone beware of this place ... crazy. Update as of 9/24 - It's absolutely outrageous to suggest that I'd be STEALING apples and no one CLAIMED anything so stop INSINUATING and ASSUMING things. It's completely ridiculous to suggest that I was stealing when these apples were clearly identified in a bag, and said bag was CLEARLY PRESENTED at the time of check out! Paying that much for 4 apples is absolutely ridiculous, and that's what I was trying to convey, and the fact that you have absolutely made an inaccurate assumption that I was stealing is a deliberate defamation of my character and solely for the purpose of me asking a question?? There were absolutely no apples lying around without a bag, so for you to make such a ridiculous assumption that they weren't in a bag is utterly mindless and pathetic. It's completely illogical that you would suggest it was a theft attempt. That kind of accusation is not only misleading but also a desperate attempt to justify your immature and pathetic response. Instead of making an effort to retain a 6-year customer, you imply that we're thieves. Really elaborate. You have completely lost my service and my family's service, and I will never recommend you to anyone. I will make sure everyone knows what kind of business you run. And if you wanna talk about inaccuracies in things how about the inaccuracies in your response? It is NOT free admission if you're charging 1 bag per car? That defeats the purpose of FREE admission. Your claims are invalid and straight assumptions. And I find your statement suggesting that I was stealing actually disrespectful and rude.

Kailey N.

Yelp
Great orchard with great apples and lovely food options. Maskers is dog friendly and you're allowed to drive through the orchard itself. You pay based on how many bags you fill though to be honest one bag is more than enough for 2-4 people. The apples are great and they encourage you to try the apples so that you know what you're getting. The variety of apples varies based on the time/season but there are always plenty of tasty apples to choose from. This may be my new favorite orchard!

Linda S.

Yelp
What a beautiful place to visit with gorgeous scenery! So many different apples and you can actually drive up to the trees! They invite you to eat all the apples you'd like while you're there, you just pay for the bags full as you leave. I love that they let you know, it's a working farm and also to be careful of poison ivy. So make sure you're dressed appropriately and also wear good walking shoes because you're walking in an orchard. The employees are extremely friendly and so helpful! The bags you're given have a map of the orchard and where you'll find the different types of apples. There's also a guide on the bag that tells you what apples are available and when. The trees are clearly marked and tell you which trees are ripe. It was a lovely afternoon with my family! Also, the country store has the most delicious donuts. Definitely get some to take home. You can also purchase cider on the way out.

Gianna D.

Yelp
The perfect Apple experience for the entire family! You leisurely drive through, park and pick among the most majestic views in the Hudson Valley. There's a sweet country store offering an array of treats and samples, a snack shack, barbecue eatery and bakery on site to also stimulate your palate. Don't forget to visit the sweet farm animals -Pearl the pig is quite the character! Maskers offers a bit of everything for everyone. We love Maskers!

Melanie H.

Yelp
I had a blast at Masker Orchards. There was quite a bit of traffic driving there from the city, but the fall leaves and scenic route during the last 30 minutes of the drive made it all worth it. The orchard itself was not busy at all in the morning. I recommend going on a drizzly day because it is less crowded. The food was better than I was expecting. I paid 15$ for a pulled pork sandwich. We also got really good apple pie, but I don't remember how much we paid. I was less invested in the apple picking, but I enjoyed walking around the orchard with my friends. We even brought a dog, and it wasn't an issue at all. A couple of cars got stuck parking in the mud, so I recommend parking in the bottom lot and walking up the hill if possible. It seemed like their staff was pulling cars out of the mud. Beautiful views. Definitely going back next year.

Yelp
What a great family owner apple orchard It's become a family tradition for us : best apples , best orchard : drive up to a spectacular view ! Highly recommend

Daisy K.

Yelp
Lovely place! I appreciated that they raised the price for a bag of apples--there were way fewer crowds this year, which made the experience more enjoyable. But I was really bummed that the haunted house wasn't there this year. Even though last year's was a bit wacky and disorganized, it was still so much better than not having one at all. Such a shame!

Tata G.

Yelp
Been a family tradition to go here at the beginning of fall every year. Although non of us fond of apples, we like going on a picnic here & spending out door time with the kids. Our visit usually starts around the country store. Always nice time getting jam, hotsauce etc. Always enjoy the scenic drive all the way here. A good way to jumpstart the fall season. First time to read the review about poison ivy. Just reminded me i Developed bad very itchy rash a week after coming here last year. Didnt occur to me its poison ivy. Got to go to the derma & get strong prescription to get rid of it. Oh my, hope this recent visit i'll be spared. I'll take precaution next time & will make sure i wear close shoes, socks & long pants for future visit!

Kathleen C.

Yelp
Beautiful orchard to enjoy with your family and friends. Parking is free and the provide you with a bag to collect all these delicious apples! Once you're there it's not just about the apple picking, the orchard has pony rides, a maze, food to enjoy there and pies to purchase and take home to eat later which we did and it was delicious. Can't wait to go back again and have an amazing time again! Highly recommend Masker Orchards and not to mention it's pet friendly and everyone in your family can be apart of the fun!

Karina W.

Yelp
We came last weekend and had a wonderful time. You could spend the whole day there. We started the day out driving through the orchard and filled the two bags they gave us with apples. The bags were really neat; they had a map of the farm on the back of the bag so you could drive to the type of apples you wanted to pick. We brought a blanket, took a break at the top of the orchard, and admired the view. When we started to get hungry, we drove down to the family area and had some barbeque and snacks. We walked around, looked at the farm animals, and shopped in the country store. It's a great little store to put together a gift basket. They had so many samples to try like the donuts and apple slices with warm caramel. On your way out you can purchase cider or pies. We heated up the pie that night with ice cream and it was excellent. We will definitely be coming back with extended family.

Laura M.

Yelp
Today was my 2nd time visiting Masker's, and both times were a great experience. I like that you can drive right up the hill to get a great view of the valley below. The apple we picked were delicious and there were a couple varieties available within easy walking distance. Yes there was a lot of mud and you had to be careful when driving, but that's Mother Nature's fault, not the orchards. The apples cost $34 per bag, but we filled the bag all the way up , yielding a per lb cost of approx $2 or so. I didn't try any baked goods so I can't comment on that. But it's a lovely spot to bring a picnic, your dog, a chair and enjoy the afternoon.

Ella

Yelp
Such a fun spot and super family friendly, highly recommend for all fall activities. can't wait to visit again.

Winny L.

Yelp
Friends recommended this place as they come annually for apple picking. Decided to join this year, even though I don't eat apples unless they are cooked/baked... Huge are with 5 parking lot levels for apple picking. They give you 2 bags per person as you drive in....Signs in the front section of the trees and the bags to indicate what types of apple are located where... just don't forget where you park your car! Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the ground is not level... and long pants. Saw ants crawling on the ground especially around crushed apples... Make sure to go early as we hit heavy traffic delaying us by at least 30-40 minutes in getting there. Friends and I ended up arriving shortly after each other even with the delay/re-routing to get there. Was able to pick a variety of apples while there Sep 26th - ripe red delicious, ripe macs, ripe empires, not mitsu ripe (green)...have yet to try them. Restrooms - there is regular restrooms a little past the snack barn area with toilets and sinks. Sadly not as well maintained as the day went on...so get there early. Otherwise, plenty of porta-potties. $34 for a full bag apples...wow! $18 for 1/2 bag and $9.90 for 1/4 bag. Besides apple picking, you can purchase apple pie for $23 and apple cider donuts. Snack barn and a couple of food trucks in case you're hungry and want to purchase food there. Purchase / pick up apple cider on the way out $4.50. There were a couple of other activities for kids - Haunted House and Masker's Apple Maze - must purchase tickets at the ticket booth. On the way out, they do ask how many bags of apples and check the car - so please be honest! Read other reviews about poison ivy after I got back! Good thing I didn't sit on the ground or touch any leaves... thanks to the other reviewers for the tip! Will keep eyes open next time.

Irene L.

Yelp
Free admissions fee and delicious apple pies. A slice of pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream is $5. Hot apple cider $3.50. Really good but the apple donuts were disappointing. It was hard and didn't taste good. There was not much festivities and no live music. Barely as apples left and they do check your car before you leave. I still had fun though. There's porter potties at the lot. It was about $33 a pound.

Masumi T.

Yelp
This seems like a good place for families but as two adults, it felt chaotic. Aside from apple picking, I saw there are pony rides, hay rides, and maybe a maze. I was hoping to buy apples rather than pick them but they don't sell them. They have other goods like maple syrup, apple cider donuts, cider, pizza, etc. I got some donuts which are on the cake-ier side and more dense than I was expecting. I still ate two. One with soft serve ice cream that was pretty good. A dozen will set you back about $20. Half a gallon of cider is $5 which is more reasonable.

Bob H.

Yelp
This is an amazing place - beautiful views, you can drive right up to the apples, old time feel but has a great store and the food stand makes a killer hot dog, apple pie, and a lot more. Great and friendly folk run Masker Orchards, I've been going for years and this year I think the apples were better than ever.

Kenya M.

Yelp
Disclaimer: I could care less about Apple picking! I guess because I don't eat apples at all! But what I do care about is apple cider donuts, and that to me is more important than anything! I saw pictures of their apple cider donuts on Yelp, and I just knew I had to get there! First of all- THIS PLACE IS HUGE! As soon as you pull in, you're handed bags for your apples and are given a map. There is NO ADMISSION FEE! You can eat all the apples you want FOR FREE while there, but the ones you bag up have to be paid for. You can pull your car right in the middle of the apple trees & go for it! My kids ate a few apples and said they were delicious, and quite possibly the best they've ever had!! Again- I don't eat them so I can't say! Exiting this place was a task but the box of goodness I left with was well worth it! The store to purchase items is closed but FRET NOT- they'll have all the goodies at the exit to grab before you go! We pulled up and the guy asked if we had any apples. They will ask you to open your trunk to make sure you're not stealing apples which I thought was crazy but I totally get it! Here's where the fun comes in- THEY ASK YOU IF YOU WANT ANY PIES, DONUTS or CIDER & they bring it to your car! You then pull up to the cashier and pay for your items, then you're free to go! BE PATIENT because it takes a lot of time! All of the workers wore their PPE properly, and were constantly sanitizing their hands! Not one time did I not feel safe during my entire visit. Listen- the donuts are out of this world GREAT! Maskers has mastered the art of apple cider donut making and I'll forever be a fan! I look forward to returning next fall for more photo ops in the beautiful orchards & of course those little round things that make me very happy!

Jason R.

Yelp
I did a search for best orchards near NYC, this place was on two different lists, so I went with Masker, and wasn't disappointed. As you pull in, a worker will walk up to your car and give you as many as you'd like. Then you can seemingly park anywhere, it was a little confusing because people walk through the narrow portion you can drive through, so you'll have to be very patient. However, once you park, you're right in the orchard without having to do any walking. As it is already Mid-October, it was slim pickings. The entire right side seemed to have been depleted (unless you want apples from the ground) we asked a guy we saw without a lot of apples and he directed us where to walk back toward the front part where we parked to find apples. We found many there, but they were high up in the tree, which wasn't a problem for me, as I'm tall. Also, I typically prefer that, as I rather have apples that were touched by everybody. Once we racked up, we attempted to find some cakes and cider. The apple pie and apple cider donuts were located near the gift shop (only allows ten people, due to Covid-19) so we didn't feel like the wait was worth it. Two apple pies totaled $45, I believe the donuts are $6 and the cider which was by the exit was $3.95 per half-gallon. When you get by the exit, someone will expect your car to see how many bags you have. We had four or five bags, but they weren't completely filled but they only charged us for one and a half bags. I was very impressed with the staff, they were very helpful and courteous, along with how cheap some of the rates were. It was a mission to get up (darn GPS, but it was well worth it) I'd return here, but earlier in the season. Just an FYI--no pumpkins; those have to be ordered online, we were told.

Samantha R.

Yelp
This is a great place to spend the day with a book. The owners won't mind you coming for a day to picnic under the apple trees. They're aren't very tall, but they do provide shade. Please try the apple cider donuts on your way out and way in the back they have the Courtlandt apples, those are my favorite!

Joy G.

Yelp
*Yikes - didn't see the reviews warning about poison ivy before we went. Kind of wish I didn't burrow into the trees to grab the apples that were on higher up branches (hehe, I thought to myself, it'll be a challenge). Lots of apples to be picked, though at this time of the season, it'll be mostly Macintosh and Red Delicious, with an occasional Mutsu to spice things up. We had done another orchard around the same time last year where the trees were picked completely clean so wandering around and seeing so much bounty on the trees, especially on one of the busiest fall weekends, was a pleasant surprise. If you come on the later side of a Sat/Sun, be prepared for a long line to get in and out of the orchards, though we had no problem finding a patch to park in. A few other tips: 1. Wear long sleeves and pants, especially if you're going to be scrounging around the branches. 2. Also good walking shoes, as most of the trek will be uphill. 3. There's a row of porta potties. 4. They give you bags as you come in - it's a flat fee no matter how full your bag is so obviously incentive to jam the whole thing to bursting. Not a bad deal. 5. Apples are delicious - full of that orchard-y taste. 6. What do I do with all these apples?! Keep an eye out for the express exit where you bypass the country store - we didn't get to try the donuts or pies but it beat sitting in the car in a massive line.

Gary M.

Yelp
First time here on Saturday. I initially parked in the lot not realizing you can drive in the orchards. So I ended up going to the furthest corner where we could picnic. You could really tell which people have been here before. Tons of families gathering for a picnic/bbq. The main event: the apples here were ok. $32 for a bag seems like a lot but the bag can really fit many apples. There is no admission charge and dogs are allowed which is a plus. Checkout was easy as someone checked your car for apples and you were able to order donuts and cider. Credit card was accepted as well. I guess since we left early, I didn't experience the gridlock leaving the orchard as others. 2 negatives from the orchard: the grass was not really cut well around trees like other orchards. Also there is poison ivy around so be careful.

Akilah R.

Yelp
Been coming here for years at the start of fall, its a lovely drive and the apple cider donuts are killer. Really a nice place to picnic, take the kiddos, and hang out for a few hours. Pack a lunch and you can chill in the orchard or grab something at the store. Theres hay rides, pony rides, a maze, and pumpkins

Sonicanthony100 ..

Yelp
Huge place for apple picking. Big parking lots you can do picnic here, apple is sweet delicious plenty of them. Best place in Warwick.

Liz P.

Yelp
Talk about inflation. A bag of apples, an apple pie, and a dozen apple cider donuts will cost ya a whopping $85 bucks! I've been coming here long time for the pies and donuts but I think this will be my last time buyin them. They just taste like any other factory made goods now that they're mass producing everything due to high demand. The entire pie was mushy and soft and they don't sell 6 donuts anymore, you must buy 12. Which is completely understandable. They had a lot of other vendors selling food trucky items, like $9 for fried pickles, so BRING CASH y'all!!! It was nice to see all different types of ethnicities coming together pickin apples and havin picnics though. I remember back in the day it was all whites lol. I came after many gloomy days of rain so it was pandemonium mud fest. I had to wash my car twice to get all the mud off. But annually, apple traffic or mud, I'd come here again. I enjoy the experience. Don't forget to try all the apples, they're really delicious. Just come, have fun and eat ton of apples and go home!

Angela YJ B.

Yelp
Apple picking !!!! Of course !! Why else !! Very different from the ones I used to visit since this Masker Orchards is very ... hummmm.... "natural". Huge expense of land uphill for everyone to climb OR drive through in a car !!! People were picnicking under the apple trees, and simply enjoying themselves. Not a lot of varieties... but definitely have the usual kinds ... Mckintosh, Red delicious, etc. Free admission ^^

Susan F.

Yelp
Does not accept cash, inspects your vehicle like they are searching for illegal substances!

Jackeline F.

Yelp
Five stars for a wonderful, amazing place!! We have been to Masker Orchards many times and it is about time that I reviewed it. This location is about an hour from the Bronx. Due to COVID, things are very different this year. But it is not hard to follow because this is a great place for social distancing. The only difference is that this year we cannot go into the Country Store, activities have been cancelled and the delicious and addictive apple cider donuts must be purchase on the way out. Masker Orchards does not charge an admission fee. You pay per bag of apples that you fill. Every bag is $31.95. Parking is plenty and free. We were handed four bags, the bags have a map of the whole farm that shows the parking areas and where to find the different apples. Included with the map were the new instructions and COVID rules(donuts at exit & no activities). Since it was the 1st day of opening, there were plenty of people, which like ourselves were seeking wide outdoor spaces to breathe and relax. Lots of peoples had tents, chairs and even blankets for picnics. Yes, you can bring outside food for picnics!! Although early in the season, and some trees were marked, 'not ripe', there were plenty of delicious apples to try, Macs, Cortlands, Empires and McIntosh. We walked, talked, laughed, enjoyed the great weather and beautiful views from way up. As we left, we purchased three dozen donuts (did I mention I am obsessed with them). I fly home to NYC every fall for these. It was different because we usually have them freshly warm but these are the times we are living in. Overall, we had an amazing time and we will return year after year.

Yelp
There is less going on this season due to Covid but those apples still still need to be picked! When you drive in someone will give you some plastic bags and then direct you to a lane to park in. Then just wander about and pick your apples. You have to pay $32 a bag so fill those suckers up. The store is closed but you can buy cider from your car when you leave. There will be a traffic jam getting out so temper your expectations of a speedy ride home.

Yelp
Our first experience at this place was absolutely terrible. First of all it takes so long to get in the place. It has so many muddy spots going up the hill ti get in. Second of all When you are trying to actually pick the apples your clithes and shoes will get wrecked. So make sure to not wear nice clothes and shoes as my family did. And it was terrible. There are also so many people around the parking spots and everywhere and you will get do close to hitting little children that are running around the parking spaces. So if you if you do think about coming here don't ut will be a terrible terrible experience. Be prepared do not come on a weekend on a nice day where your crappy clothes and boots. Lastly it has no guidance but the scenic drive there was 10x better than the destination. Good luck hope your experience will be better than our terrible one.

Yelp
I've been going to maskers for years. Since I was a kid with my parents and I'm 39 now. The positives: huge orchard, amazing donuts and cider. Negatives: we'll only one but it's a big one. Poison ivy around EVERY SINGLE TREE. Literally. I couldn't take my kids (3 and 1) out of the car. I won't be going back. $34 for a bag of apples, $20 for a dozen donuts and they can't spray for the ivy. It's more of a poison ivy orchard.

Yelp
This is a huge orchard, and it's very congested, they offer a lot of activities, pony rides, haunted house, and henna tattoos among them. While we were there we were dodging cars driving through the orchard. It's really way to busy and commercial not the experience I was hoping for. I didn't care for the store either, there wasn't much selection. I gave them a star for sheer size, and the apple pie with ice cream. Happy apple picking!

Yelp
I only recently started coming to Masker Orchards to kick off the fall, and it's a tradition among friends now. It's located in a lovely, scenic part of Warwick. This place is pretty family oriented - lots of families come up here and have picnics. We often start off with picking a bag or two. You don't have to fill up the bag, but a full bag will run you about $30. Afterwards we trek down to the snack area for Apple cider donuts, which are really good. Other things to try are the apple pie, which comes with ice cream, and the apple cider. They sell other things in the snack area (pizza, hot dogs) but honestly they're pretty meh and there are very few options. I think the snack stand could use some work. There's also a "haunted house" that costs $6 probably geared toward younger kids, but we do it anyway (I know I'm a grown adult). It's so un-scary, it's funny, so if you're into that type of thing, check it out. One thing to keep in mind here is driving is chaotic. While there are designated spots, people do park in open areas near the orchards. The main roads are very narrow and often muddy - I personally witnessed a couple cars get stuck and needing man power to get them out. You pay for your apples on the way out. They will open your trunk and charge you by the bag. Plus, you have the option to purchase apple cider on the way out too. Overall, solid choice for apple-picking!

Yelp
I spent over a half-century in the retail industry, where there is only one rule you follow: THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT! I've lived in the area my entire life. I've never been to Maskers before today. I've been to a bunch of other U-Pick farms/orchards all over the Hudson Valley, including another one very close by Maskers, that I've already visited 4 times this Summer for Raspberries, Tomatoes, Peaches and Apples. Maskers is scenic, rustic, and somewhat overgrow. Beautiful views await you. So does deception. Maskers offers a $2 off 'Midweek Pickin' Special' Coupon. Read it closely. Then, read it again. I had it on my phone, and told the attendant at the gate, so it wouldn't be an issue when I checked out. I could tell IMMEDIATELY, it was going to be a problem. After picking our sack of apples, my grandson and I drove to the gate to check out. I was told the coupon was only valid if I purchased 2 bags of apples. I said that is not what the coupon says. I was told, sorry, THAT IS WHAT THE COUPON SAYS. I said no, it says, $2 OFF EACH BAG, AND A FREE JUG OF CIDER IF YOU BUY 2 BAGS OF APPLES. ( Again, I urge you to look at the coupon on Maskers Website) Anyway, they wouldn't budge, they wouldn't honor their own coupon, and for a lousy $2 Discount, they lost a very ticked off customer. I'll never go back there. Remember, 'The customer is always right!' So, do yourself a favor, if you're going Apple picking in Warwick, head over to Ochs Orchard. It's much better maintained, and the views are just as beautiful. And, they have a very large variety of absolutely gorgeous apples, along with peaches, pears, plums, blackberries, tomatoes, eggplant, etc. Don't get yourself aggravated with Maskers.

Yelp
I'm very surprised by the middling reviews. Every trip to Masker Orchards has provided my friends and family with the ideal apple picking experience. If anything, I would only encourage them to make more cider donuts, as they ran out fairly early on the day of my most recent visit! Luckily, we were still able to claim a homemade apple pie, which was delicious. The Country Store is closed this year due to the virus, so instead, we placed our order from the car during checkout, and an employee brought it out to us. As for the apple picking process, the entire orchard is fair game. The map, printed on bags supplied at the entrance, lays out the currently available varieties. Throughout the season, the types rotate, so when I was there, they had: Macintosh, Cortland, Granny Smith Greening, Jonagold, Red Delicious, and Empire. However, just because a variety is marked as "in season," doesn't necessarily mean it's ripe. Fortunately, Masker posts a sign on each row of trees to designate whether they're ready to be picked, ensuring everyone goes home with the best fruit they have to offer. Feel free to eat as many apples as desired while walking through the orchard at no cost. Otherwise, each bag is $31.95, which sounds steep, but they're actually quite large and can be filled to the brim. For groups belonging to the same household, I would recommend letting everyone carry their own bag, and then combine the separate hauls at the end. Besides saving money, it's also much easier than lugging around a single bag - trust me, it gets heavy once it's about half full. Masker Orchards continues to be my first choice for apple picking in New York State. I can't think of a better way to celebrate the beginning of fall!

Yelp
What a waste of time...first Getting IN to the place was a choir... The kid didn't offer any info so you just follow the traffic and have to ride on a rock filled dirt road in bumper to bumper traffic. When you finally give in an park , you have a surprise when u go walking ...cars are cutting THROUGH the Orchards as people and kids are picking..there's NO order . You can get to a tree with Apples and bam there's a sign under it that says they r not ready to be picked. People let their dogs run free ..we almost stepped in dog poop..very disappointed. When we finally filled the bag up we took the journey out..we had to back into the constant traffic which was irritating..we finally turned into the exit road and cars were coming UP that road .. Complete hassle...we come to the Orchard to get away from the City crap and get it worst here! So finally we are in the exit lane and see what they said was the Country store ( cider , donuts etc) only AFTER we parked again an walked down us and everyone realized the store is closed! There was NOTHING extra to do there for kids at all. Back in the car an back into the exit traffic .. we finally get to the exit so we thought and that was JUST the check your cars lane...took forever... We finally get to the PAY part and wanted to get a apple pie..till we saw that they were just laying out by the barn outside! We finally paid just for the Apples $32 bucks for the one bag, what a waste of time..all 6 lanes went into one exit lane..I needed a drink after that not apple cider. Would never go to Maskers again! Would never recommend it

Yelp
My friend and I visited this orchard in the fall around October and had a great time. We were also able to take lots of cool breeze with the fall foliage. It was my first time apple picking and I was super excited. I didn't realize how many orchards they had in the area but we decided to check out this popular one. We arrived very early and there weren't too many people picking apples. The place was huge and there were plenty of apples to pick but not a variety of different ones. We arrived too late since specific apples were no longer available for the season. I enjoyed walking through the fields and grabbing apples for inspection and deciding which lucky ones were keepers. We saw people with their tall fruit pickers and those were the professionals. After we filled our bags we stopped in the Country store and checked out some items available for sale. They had a selection of Jams, Jellies, local honey, local maple syrup, souvenirs, and many other interesting apple related products. We purchased our apples and headed out and noticed the place was a lot more crowded. There were cars lined up and down the fields. I would definitely check out this orchard again and some others in the area.

Yelp
Yay for apple picking season!!! This place is by far the biggest apple orchard I've ever been to. I prefer to look at farms via google maps satellite. You can compare which farm is bigger :) Make sure you wear long pants and perhaps boots because it can be kinda muddy and yucky (I've heard there's poison ivy but I haven't been affected because I don't go too deep in the trees). I would recommend bringing a wagon too because parking is somewhat a pain and who wants to carry 100 apples? You enter and get 4 plastic bags with maps on them, so you know where you are and can easily find what apples you want. There's maybe about 8-10 different kinds of apples. Each bag is $29.95, I believe, so LOAD THEM UP. You can eat and try the apples beforehand and pick whichever ones you like. They'll check your car once you leave, so prepare to open your trunk and let them search. They have pony/horse rides, hayrides, pumpkin picking, live events, and an area for you to enjoy their pizzas, apple cider donuts, apple cider, and other apple themed food (quite fun for kids). Plus you can see cute pigs, goats and cows (my favorite thing to do).

Yelp
Beautiful orchard and very spacious when you arrive they give you four bags to fill up with apples and you drive up into the orchard. There are multiple parking lots and you can wander through the orchard or have a picnic. Findimg our way out was a little difficult we thought we had to pay at the country store but you just pay as you're driving out. I happen to only pick nine apples and they said since it was so few we could just have them which was very sweet.

Yelp
Apple picking is a must! Also try the food at the shops! Location: It is located in Warwick, NY. You better have SUV because it is a rough road, but sedans will do. Farm is really big, and apples are located depending on their kind. Service: All of them are nice and welcoming! Very friendly as well! Food: they have different kinds of apple! I prefer the sweet red and green! They also have stores to buy apple pie, organic ice cream, apple cider and apple cider doughnuts. Apple pie is good, nice and crusty! Apple cider doughnut is a must too, very light and good soft! The organic ice cream is a must, the ice cream is so delicately creamy, not to sweet, I am not sure about the flavor tho but I guess it is vanilla. A bag of apples is 28.95, I think one bag per family is good enough. Very nice apple picking and family activity during fall season! Definitely will come back to get more
