On the Grid : Mason Mill Park

"When you pull into the parking lot, the first thing you'll notice is the killer tennis complex the size of the Parthenon. There are two playgrounds side by side for the little ones, and enough tennis courts to keep everyone chasing neon green balls. If you're looking for quieter activities, the South Peachtree Creek Trail is just over a mile and perfect for biking, running or walking." - Liz Shinn & Mike Rivera

I just discovered the South Peachtree Creek Trail at Mason Mill, and it might be my new favorite place to walk. The scenery is beautiful—quiet, green, and peaceful, like something out of a storybook. The boardwalk is in great shape and easy to walk, so there’s no need to watch your step every five seconds. Everything felt really well taken care of, which made the whole experience even better. It’s the kind of trail that makes you want to stay outside a little longer.

Mason Mill Park offers scenic wooded trails, a great playground, and well-kept tennis courts. The boardwalk through the forest is a highlight. It’s peaceful, shaded, and perfect for walking, biking, or family fun. A hidden gem for nature lovers.

The best place to walk/run on the trail especially during summer. It's shaded by beautiful trees in most of the places.

This park is in poor condition. Graffiti covers various areas, and there are homeless belongings like bags and carts in the restrooms. The restrooms lack toilet paper and soap, and the smell is overwhelming. Along the trail, the trash bins are overflowing. It's clear this park is not well-maintained.

Great Park for our 2 year old. He had a great time. So many people but didn't seem to packed so a lot of space.

Love this Park and all the curious wonders! I have had the pleasure of working with decav county on some restorative and creative features. The walk is very scenic. You can even take an off beaten trail and hike along the creek. This a heavily populated park, you don't have to feel concerned for your safety. It is stroller and dog friendly. There are concrete paths boardwalks, off beaten trails of interest with gardens. etc.

Beautiful park! Well kept, clean and kid/parent friendly park. Space for smaller children and bigger ones. My kid has a blast. Would recommend.

This park located off Clairmont Road near the Atlanta VA Medical Center is a beautiful park to take your kids out to play, have a picnic, or play a game of tennis. There are 2 different playgrounds right next to each other as well as a Tennis complex, short soccer field, and picnic pavilions. There is also several fresh patches of grass if you want to have a more traditional picnic with a blanket and such including near the Garden Club area. Just be wary of any ground yellow jacket nests especially during the summer!
