What a wonderful Birthday I had at this beautiful place. Although it was a cold day it was still stunning. The service was amazing, the food was divine and the venue was gorgeous. The staff went out of their way to make sure I felt special even with a candle in my dessert. Happy to recommend to all.

Had lunch with some friends visiting from the UK. Great food and lovely Granite Belt Shiraz, and the service was excellent. Once of our party has a garlic allergy and the chef couldn't have been more accommodating, suggesting changes where necessary so that almost all of the menu was available. Highly recommend this place to anyone.

Mason Winery – a standout experience on Tamborine Mountain 🍷🌄 From the moment we arrived, Mason Winery impressed us. Set against the stunning backdrop of Tamborine Mountain, the views are postcard-perfect – rolling green paddocks and distant hills that make you want to linger a little longer. We’d booked ahead (smart move), and were rewarded with a table in the best spot in the house, right where the view stretches on and on. The staff were friendly and attentive, and we were lucky enough to have the owner guide us through the wine tasting – a real treat, with plenty of insight and a few laughs along the way. Lunch was fantastic – full of flavour, beautifully presented, and perfectly matched with the 2022 Shiraz, which we absolutely loved. It all came together for a relaxed, memorable afternoon. Mason Winery was definitely a highlight of our holiday – great wine, top-notch food, warm hospitality, and a view that’s hard to beat. If every lunch looked like this, we’d be in serious trouble – but very, very happy 😃

We had a lovely celebratory lunch here today and it was such an enjoyable experience. The food was delicious and the service was attentive but unobtrusive. I ordered two menu items that I love, but often steer clear of due to bad experiences in other restaurants. The prawns were divine - large, fresh and tender with bread to mop up the delightful pungent sauce. The pork belly was beautifully cooked and fell apart with the fork to soak up the sweet Asian sticky sauce My companions had the pate and duck spring rolls for entree with heads up for both as with the chicken and other pork belly for mains. The Eaton messes were decadent explosions of meringue, cream and berries to satisfy the inner child. Lovely atmosphere, pretty views, great wines and the perfect way to while away a few hours on the Scenic Rim. Just needed a couple of deck chairs for a nap before the drive home. The servings are very generous but not off putting, so arrive with an appetite.

This restaurant exceeds every expectation. From the moment we usually walk in, we always feel genuinely welcomed—like we were at home. The service is warm, attentive, and professional without being overbearing. You can tell the staff truly care. The food? First class. Every dish is beautifully presented and full of flavor, clearly crafted by a chef who knows and loves their craft. It’s rare to find a place that nails both comfort and culinary excellence, but this one does it effortlessly. We’re here regularly and it never disappoints. A true gem. I preface this review by saying I have lived all over the world — from Beverly Hills to London and everywhere in between — and have been a regular at some of the most celebrated restaurants on the planet: Spago, the Ritz, Maxim’s, to name but a few. I am quite easily pleased — I am perfectly happy with the very best of everything. Which brings me to Mason Winery. Now living on Tamborine Mountain, I can say without hesitation that Mason Winery is my happy place. It is, by a wide margin, the best restaurant on the mountain and stands head and shoulders above anything on the Gold Coast. I dine there weekly. It’s where I take my most sophisticated and fussy friends — people who truly understand fine food and wine — and every time, it makes me proud to show off this exceptional local gem. The chef there is simply world-class. He has a level of talent that would see him welcomed into the finest kitchens in Paris, New York or London, yet he chooses to bring his brilliance to this small, boutique restaurant on Tamborine Mountain. That means we locals and visitors alike are treated to dishes of extraordinary quality, crafted with imagination and precision, all in a wonderfully relaxed setting. A Rare, Unequivocal 10 It is not often I give a perfect score, but Mason Winery is an unquestionable 10 out of 10. In truth, I cannot think of another restaurant in Queensland I would rate above a 7. It really is faultless. Trust me. Do yourself a favour, you will be pleased you did.

My family and I recently had a lovely lunch at the restaurant and we would recommend the setting, the sumptuous food and service. It is absolutely worth the drive which has it's own attractions to find a peaceful, relaxed venue easily accessible with a walker or wheelchair if needed. Recommend you check the menu in advance because it is not a full bar but we enjoyed all the meals, the main courses are a good size, and the Mason wines of course.
