Had lunch at the restaurant, was such beautiful food. Chicken Supreme was to die for however whilst the pork belly was also very tasty it was quite a small portion size. Overall, great food and wine - will be back.

Time to reflect on our Melbourne cup day lunch extravaganza at Masons on the deck. Great to see lovely long tables beautifully decorated and everyone attending taking the trouble to dress up accordingly. The 3 hour lunch started off with a lovely home made bread and creamed butter to share on the tables with bowls of cashew nibbles. A fresh local salad of heirloom tomatoes and on a bed of whipped goats cheese was delicious. The next course was an in house cured salmon that was mouth watering. Warm duck spring rolls followed with a dipping sauce and actually tasted like duck. And if you thought that was it a platter of large prawns was presented with a seafood sauce. Then the mains. The Chef is famous for his steak and well he excelled serving 57 patrons simulations with platters of beautifully cooked fillet steak with crispy potato’s. And just in case that was not enough there was a platter of perfectly cooked salmon fillets for the non meat eaters. A large TV set up on the deck took over as Centre stage for the main race. Once the excitement died down we were presented desert. Home cooked basque cheese cake with petit fours and coffee. Well done to Chef Chris, Anne and staff for the most memorable Melbourne cup day.

We stopped by for lunch recently and really enjoyed the food—especially the pasta dishes, which were excellent. That said, the service left something to be desired. The team didn’t come across as very welcoming, and at times it felt like they were more focused on getting things done quickly. The wine tasting was similar—while the setting was lovely, the experience felt rushed. It seemed like the staff member was eager to wrap things up rather than engage with us. Overall, it’s a stunning venue with great food, but a little more friendliness and attentiveness from the staff would take the experience to the next level.

We recently visited for lunch and the food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and full of flavour. Unfortunately, the service and hospitality didn’t quite match the quality of the food. The staff didn’t seem particularly friendly, and at times we felt a bit like a burden rather than guests. The wine tasting experience was okay, but not especially engaging compared to other wineries we’ve visited. Overall, the venue is lovely and the food is outstanding, but a warmer and more attentive service would make the experience truly great.

Mount Tamborine is worth the drive from Brisbane or Gold Coast. After driving to GC from Brisbane, we decided to take the scenic and quite elevated drive to the Mount Tamborine area. We stopped at another vineyard without a view or much fanfare. But our stop at Mason Winery included a diverse tasting range, a great lunch, and the personably wine professional Ashley who guided our entire experience. At the conclusion of her "TedTalk" (so informative) we even had a chance to speak to the chef and thank him for his duck sauce (it was served with our duck spring rolls). The setting was such a delight and the wines were wonderful.

I booked this winery for my partner's birthday and we really enjoyed our lunch, which began with wine tasting. The ladies who welcomed us and served us at our table were kind and friendly, making us feel at home. However, I did want to mention a small disappointment with the birthday dessert. While they mentioned that they don't provide a birthday cake, but rather a BD dessert plate, I was a bit let down by the presentation. When they brought the plate to our table, it didn’t have any special decoration or personalisation, except for the candle I brought myself (44). It would’ve been a lovely touch if there had been 'Happy Birthday [Name]' written on the plate or perhaps a few flowers to make the dessert feel more special. Aside from the dessert, everything was wonderful. I’d love to visit again.

Mason winery is a must do when visiting Tamborine if you love a good meal, in a beautiful setting with a nice wine. The chef has an amazing menu and the pate served with his homemade bread is a must!

The food is amazing! I’m usually very picky about western food, but the chef of this restaurant is absolutely the best ever. The wine tasting is right next to the restaurant and the wind breath along the beautiful view make the experience unforgettable.
