I am surprised by the positive reviews, as the fewer negative ones are more accurate. This place could be so much better than it is. ||||The stay started well, with a friendly welcome in the car park, with our bags taken to the room. A quick tour revealed an attractive old property with a lovely warm pool.||||We wanted some lunch; there is no menu but after some wait the restaurant managed to provide a couple of plates which can only be described as bland and unappetising. ||||Staff, albeit friendly, are rarely to be seen; if you want anything you have to go search for them. No one mans the bar by the pool and it can take 20-30 mins to actually get a drink. Used towels and drinks are just left uncleared around the pool.||||The pool was nice, but the hotel allows non-guests to join guests and use the pool, adding to the noise level.||||We decided to eat out in the evening. On our return at 10pm, there was no ambience - little lighting, no outdoor candles, no pool lights. Just dead, and no staff either.||||The “suite” can best be described as a large double, with two chairs and basic furniture. The bathroom was nice, and also clean. The room had an outside area, with a dirty umbrella although still in its ugly plastic cover and 2 basic chairs. No way you would want to spend any time there. The bed was comfortable, but the AC did not work well. ||||Finally, on leaving, you have to take your bags to the car (presumably due to the lack of adequate staffing).||||Fortunately we only booked to stay one night and we were more than keen to make an escape early the next morning. Overpriced for what it is and lacks a customer service orientated approach.
