My family of 16 (13 adults, 2 kids and a baby) had a great stay at Masseria Pugliese for four nights, booked in its entirety through Airbnb. Andrea and Francesca were there to welcome us and show us around, which was very nice of them. We were pleased to find there was plenty of space for our large group and most rooms were like mini apartments with their private bathrooms and small kitchen facilities. We used the main kitchen to congregate in as a group and we ate all of our meals together here. (Note: There is no full-size oven but we were able to use the mini oven to cook pizzas etc). We also enjoyed the use of the BBQ on the upper terrace! We did have to buy a few basics like salt and pepper, but that was fine (we definitely needed our hire car to go to the supermarket as there are no shops in walking distance).
We spend most of the time hanging around the pool, which the kids loved!
The owner was available on WhatsApp if we had any issues and was very responsive. Although the masseria doesn’t offer a taxi service, he did help us when we needed to transport the group to our next destination by recommending a local taxi firm.
The only miscommunication (which was swiftly rectified) was about the breakfast, which is shown as included on the listing, but apparently isn’t if you book the entire property (it usually operates as a bed and breakfast for separate bookings). I’d advise talking directly to the owner about what they can provide. Also, I left two swimsuits behind accidentally and offered to pick them up the next day, but they had vanished. If anyone finds them, please contact me! :)
All in all, a reputable, reliable property. Would recommend!
