Google
I wouldn't say the staff were particularly friendly, but the atmosphere and the coffee were really nice. I'm not a big fan of acidic coffee, but the latte here had just the right amount of acidity, and I really enjoyed it. That said, the cup I was given had a chipped rim where you place your mouth. In many Asian countries, serving a chipped cup would be considered quite disrespectful, though I'm not sure what the custom is here. Either way, it didn’t leave me with a great impression.

Google
Lovely chic coffee place with a clean modern look but rustic-like vibes from the furniture and counter. Small selection of snacks and pastries and truly exceptional coffee. We had a flat white and a cortado - both full of lovely chocolatey nutty flavour and no hint of bitterness. They will do your coffee anyway or how that you want, aeropress, French press, espresso based, pour over etc. This is what coffee should be. Well done guys.

Google
Amazing cute little place with great coffee and awesome barista... I just did not want to leave, it was a pleasure to discover this place and enjoy a wonderful cup of espresso... Now I know where to come for coffee next time I'm in Paris ...

Google
The coffee here is really good!❤️ the barista is very professional and quick. I like the vibes here. Even though the coffee shop is more suitable for take away, the decoration gave the chilling vibes for dine in too.

Google
We had cappuccino and lemon cake - both good! Small, lovely place and relaxed atmosphere. Would come again.

Google
This place is incredible! The coffee was easily one of the best I’ve had, smooth, rich, and perfectly brewed. The barista was super skilled and friendly, and the whole vibe of the shop was cozy and inviting. Definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to during my stay

Google
This place is always going to be in my lovely memory as this is where I met my aunt for the first time and than she discovered matcha ☺ I was only going through Paris on my road trip and stopped only for coffee and dog walk with my aunt. Also I got some lovely coffee beans to take home. Barista was super kind and coffee met all expectations.

Google
i had an iced latte with oat milk and it was delicious! it was so cute inside with tables and chairs to work at.

Yelp
Very cool cafe with ample space especially on a cold day. I like to grab a hot coffee or latte and gather myself at a table or window seating. I like the chill vibe and being able to enjoy a western style drink when I am in the area.

Yelp
Incredible pastries and drinks. Probably the best coffee that I had during my full week in Paris. The financier was also heavenly. When I was there, only one person was at the counter. They were very kind even with my broken French. The cafe is small but cute. Great place to just sit in doors or along the bench outside, enjoying people watching as you bask in the atmosphere. Great spot.

Yelp
Excellent coffee. my cappuccino was so creamy and smooth. I completely forgot to ask for non dairy milk and nothing happened to me while drinking this european milk. My husband enjoyed his espresso, it had a bitter but sweet aftertaste that was quite unusual but overall a great coffee shop. They are busy so don't expect to always find a seat.
google avatar

Christine T.

Yelp
Cute cafe with friendly service. Bench outside for people watching. Tried the flat white. I would come again.

Yelp
The latte and flat white cappuccino were amazing and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and seems like a hidden coffee shop in the city. I had accidentally dropped my cappuccino but the worker was exceptionally kind about it and helped my clean up the mess, in addition to offering me a new drink. The service is exceptional and kind to tourists as they speak English. There is also a nice toilette at the bottom floor. I would come again!

Yelp
Kickstart your Parisian morning with the Matamata cappuccino - it's the perfect pick-me-up for any cappuccino lover!

Yelp
Excellent coffee and excellent mocha. Loved that the mocha was full chocolate but not overtly sweet. Two small tables inside, two small tables outside, two tables and restrooms in the basement.
google avatar

Meagan E.

Yelp
Had a great little iced coffee. No seating inside but a few seats on the patio and a small ticked away corner with a table in their downstairs.

Yelp
This quaint bistro located in the center of Paris is the ideal location if you're nearby to get a hot cup of coffee before starting your tour. In addition to their outstanding coffee, they also have a nice assortment of home-baked pastries. Although the interiors were cute, there was not much seating area.

Yelp
THE BEST AVOCADO TOAST EVER!!!!!!!! Alright fellow audience, some context here. I'm not a big fan of avocados or avocado toast. I came to Matamata Coffee Bar with only the expectations of drinking their coffee and only their coffee. Came in early Xmas eve with my cousin and noticed the big avocado toast sign outside. Yelpers clearly stated to get the avocado toast, and the barista recommended the avocado toast........, so we decided to get it. Wow!!!!! Best decision ever. The avocado toast was so delicious. It's not your typical avocado toast as it was sweet, spicy, doughy, not dry and healthy. Ever had one of those first bites where your eyes completely closed and you're lost in the moment, this was one of them!!!!! I literally demolished my half (we shouldn't have shared one...) because it was so good, while my cousin took his time... because it was so good!!! We probably took about 30 mins eating and picking on it, trying to figure out the ingredients. Eventually we braved up and asked the barista exactly what was inside. We were speechless about this and how good it was. We're both now going to experiment and see if we can come close to replicating this art. I strongly recommend anyone and everyone to check out the avocado toast. Just writing this review gives me separation anxiety!! PS the cappuccino and flat white was delicious as well. Great balance!!

Yelp
Thanks to Yelp we found the most hipster coffee bar in Paris. Upon visiting various Boulongeries, I noticed the coffee came from a nespresso machine or something similar. I was craving something more, so off to Yelp I went and found Matamata Coffee Bar. It's a tiny, beautiful coffee shop located a short walk from the Louvre museum (our destination of the morning). As I opened the door I noticed their art said "We love people, so we serve coffee". I knew I was in the right place. Matamata was a dream - pour overs, late art, and all the wonderful things I love about coffee shops. I opted for a cappuccino. It was excellent. The service was super friendly as well. They have a few small tables which were full for breakfast. They have a small, but tasty looking menu. Loved my visit here and was perfectly fueled for a day at the Louvre.

Yelp
I love this coffee shop, it's cute with seating outside and downstairs as well. Wifi was great. Hot cocoa and the chai are both really good. Employees are so kind- and all spoke English if that helps you!

Yelp
From one coffee snob to another, this is the best Cafe Latte and Flat White in Paris. Took me a while to find good coffee in Paris, who knew it would be so hard? Cool vibe, friendly service. I choose my Airbnb close by so my days can start off right. *Closed Sundays in August. *Free Wi-Fi *Vip punch card *Accepts credit card *Opens around 8:30am

Yelp
A cute coffee shop with homemade food! I found this place on Yelp, and since it was close to our apartment we decided to go for breakfast. The shop is quite small with maybe 7-8 tables. They do both sit in and take away espresso/coffee drinks. As for food options, they do have some deals for breakfast, brunch, and lunch, which are generally a good deal, but I didn't go for that today. I ordered a caffe latte and a slice of their homemade carrot cake. I thought the latte was not very strong and tasted too milky. Though lattes are supposed to be quite milky, I just didn't like this one that much. The carrot cake was not the type I'm more used to, which is more chunky and filled with spices. This one was very homogenous in texture, but still tasted good! The cream cheese frosting was great- perfectly tangy and not too cloying. The latte was about 5 euros and the cake was about 4-5 Euros.

Yelp
Coffee is good. They don't have the avocado toast anymore. So if you are looking for a place just for coffee, I'd recommend it

Yelp
Pros: not too expensive, cosy, delicious cookies and nice service. Con: small. This coffee place is a little gem near Chatelêt - Les Halles where you can stay in a cosy environment and chat around one of the best penut butter cookie I have ever tried. The service was very nice and welcoming, I'll be sure to stop by in the future. Would truly recommend if you enjoy good coffee.

Yelp
Probably the sweetest avocado toast ive had (in a good way). I think the best part was the service. To get this out there - this place is small, so it's a place for 1-4 people to gather/sit. If you're ordering, get an avocado toast! Ok now to the best part - the service. I visited Matamata because I was meeting up with friends. I thought they'd be inside so I went in an ordered. I checked my text messages and realized they had sat across at a different restaurant after I ordered so there was a bit of an awk situation... I didn't want to be the rude American that took someone's food and sat at another restaurant.... So I told the worker my situation and she said, it's ok let me ask the owner if you can eat our food at his restaurant. She did, he said no. Our table had been waiting to get service at that restaurant for over an hour so we decided to go to her and find a table.... And she even tried asking other guests to move for us..... She was so sweet.....and she reaped the benefit of having four more customers at her coffee shop.

Yelp
Great cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Extra seating downstairs. We had breakfast sandwiches and lattes. The espresso was very good, a single origin roast, not over roasted, well crafted by the barista. The sandwiches were really good, fresh soft rolls with eggs, cheese and bacon. I would have posted photos, but we ate it so quickly! I think English is spoken here.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious coffee quaint neighborhood and good food. Menu is small but sufficient. Seating is limited but most folks seem to take away so good for couples.
google avatar

Sam O.

Yelp
I am so picky with my coffee and this place does is the right way. I got some filter coffee ( no sugar and no milk) and it was smooth, nutty and perfectly brewed. I haven't tried anything else but I will be definitely be back as I spied the lady behind the counter baking a batch of cakes. It smelled divine!
google avatar

Suchita S.

Yelp
Cute little cafe with seating downstairs as well as on the ground floor. We got the brunch smile combo, which included Granola and fruit in yogurt, an avocado toast with feta and seeds, a small cup of orange juice and a hot drink. All of this was perfectly light and satisfying for two of us to share as a first meal in the city, mid-morning treat after arriving in Paris from the train station!!
google avatar

Marlon R.

Yelp
I found this place with the help of Yelp near my Airbnb. Most breakfast and brunch places in Paris are very small, cozy places with a home feeling. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich with a double espresso for only €12
google avatar

Jordan J.

Yelp
Lovely staff, incredibly friendly and accommodating for visitors who spoke English. Definitely recommend the avocado toast, and the latte was great! The atmosphere was cute and quaint. Would absolutely go back!

Extremecoffeefreak ..

Yelp
Today a friend and I decided to go and locate this little coffee shop that I had heard about before leaving Calgary. It is located in the heart of Paris, in the Montorgueil neighbourhood, cultivating the art of specialty coffee and home made food. Walking down the road to this little gem, you would never know it is there unless you were looking. I ordered a latte and a viennoiserie (fancy word for croissant) and my friend a latte with a slice of courgettes which was a lemon cake and a glass of fresh orange juice. The prices were pretty reasonable, a little on the pricer side, but they can do that because of the quality of their products. For read more, please visit extremecoffeefreak.com

Yelp
My favorite coffee shop in the neighborhood: trendy, friendly and chill. I keptcoming back to this place, three days in a row. Cuz why not start your day with a cup of smooth latte and a yummy croissant?
google avatar

Alaine J.

Yelp
Small, but mighty. The main floor is usually filled to the brim with regulars and tourists alike. Take the stairs down to another room and there's plenty more space, especially if you need to get work done. They have continuous hours and give you something to do on Sunday's! - Wifi: Ask for password Outlets: None seen Hours: Mon-Fri 8a-5p, Sat 9a-6p, Sun 9a-5:30p Menu: Coffee, juice, tea, pastries, breakfast granola, sandwiches Noise: 7/10 on a weekday afternoon

Yelp
Small space, quiet street, good atmosphere, good coffee. They had run out of croissants. The pan de chocolat was ok.
google avatar

Nicolas B.

Yelp
Small place on a quiet street. We only had coffee there but it was one of the best kind during our stay in Paris: on par with proper third wave (which includes price: we paid 4.5€ per flat white). I imagine that their espresso is well executed as well.
google avatar

Stephanie B.

Yelp
Pretty good cake and coffee. A bit too full and cramped for my taste, but just shows how in demand this place is.
google avatar

Randy H.

Yelp
Delicious food and friendly service. The staff very helpful with ordering and Wi-Fi. Very cozy place with downstair seating. We had the egg/bacon sandwich with juice and coffee for $11 euro.
google avatar

Yelp
In the city of Paris and trying to get breakfast but nothing seems to be open early morning besides coffee shops. Came here based on our current location and yelp reviews. Got the croissant which was flaky and quite nice for a morning meal along with pressed orange juice and a hot beverage of your choice. The seating outside on a brisk wonderful day in March made the experiment so much more enjoyable.

Yelp
Amazing coffee shop in Paris. The ambiance is cute and cozy and their coffee was delicious. Their avocado toast is unlike any I've had before and I HIGHLY recommend it along with the mochachino. Seating was a little hard to find as we were a group of 4 but the food more than makes up for it.

Yelp
Great coffee, free wifi, and a nice place to work. Coffees are served in red cups and all the pastries are homemade! The cookies are delicious!!

Chrisy O.

Yelp
Amazing avacado toast and coffee! Would most definitely dine here again! Still have dreams of this place, SO GOOD!

Robby M.

Yelp
I just moved here from LA and have been searching for the perfect cup. Here it is! Perfectly brewed pour-overs, aero press and wonderful ambience. The burristas are really friendly and clearly love why they do. There is also a very cool downstairs area not visible from the (very cute) street, so even if it looks full even there is probably space. I love espresso (which they have as well), but seriously - it's been near impossible to find great filtered coffee here in Paris. These folks are leading the revolution. Love it! See you soon guys!
google avatar

Kelly C.

Yelp
Excellent cappucino! I got mine with oatmilk. Super satisfying. The avocado toast is delish too. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Good vibes at this place, for sure!

Sam V.

Yelp
The staff is really friendly and they speak English!! The food is great!! The avocado toast was amazing must try, and the coffees were good!! Must try when in Paris

Yelp
Woodwork lamps, filter coffee, oeufs brouilllés breakfast. Great place to start the morning or stay over for the lunch/afternoon. Friendly personnel, creative interior design. Laidback atmosphere.

Estefania H.

Yelp
What a cute little hole in the wall coffee shop! The barista and cashier were very welcoming and friendly. My friends and I ordered the avocado toast, granola and 3 oat milk flat whites. The food was amazing and the coffee was definitely one of the best we've had in all of Paris.

Yelp
Found this place over Christmas break while wandering in Paris and it was magically open! When we stepped inside, we were greeted immediately by very friendly staff, who were bilingual which was really nice. The place has a very rustic feel, small, with wooden floors and only a couple seats upstairs. They had a large case of homemade treats and dessert like items, all looked delicious, but all I had was the croissant, my favorite french treat. Downstairs is one large room, reminded me of like a cozy dining room or living room in an old house. It is a really awesome place to hangout with some friends while drinking a beautiful, delicious latte and eating a freshly baked croissant. I ordered a latte and it was delicious. It had a perfect taste and of course perfect latte art. They are also very chill about how long you hangout, so no one is pushing you out. I was so glad we found this place and that it happened to be open, It was definitely worth the trip. The latte, ambiance, and staff were all truly amazing. Great experience. Will definitely be back next time I am in Paris.

Yelp
Cute little café, friendly staff, delicious breakfast or brunch, nice coffee. Recommend their avocado cheese! Crispy bread + honey + goat cheese + spices, perfect match!
google avatar

Yelp
They run out of stuff quick and only have about three options. So 3 stars for now since they were out of the breakfast sandwich when I went and all they had left was avocado toast. I'm not a millennial!! Took about 10 minutes for a coffee.

Chris P.

Yelp
Two words: Avocado toast. You won't regret it, I almost didn't order it because I didn't want to be "basic" but I'm glad I humbled my self because it was delicious. Spent €11 or 12 to have that, an orange juice, and a hot drink of my choosing. They have a nice small set up with outside seating with the small town trendy feel. The staff was very friendly and spoke English without hesitation when we arrived with our attempts to tackle French words while ordering. Free WiFi and a charging station was a much appreciated bonus.
google avatar

Margareth S.

Yelp
Is really, really good! We each ordered the lunch well (either avocado-toast/ toast of the week + a drink for €10). I am not an avocado person but I ended up stealing more bites than I expected. We got a hot chocolate (not too sweet and thick. Just nice. Perfect combi with the food) and latté (i love it!). We also got a Guinness Raspberry Brownie and it tastes awesome! Usually you get a little 'sick' of the brownie because is too thick. But this is good!! Totally recommend it!
google avatar

Colleen S.

Yelp
Best espresso ever! Professional and friendly staff. Cozy and clean place. Avocado toast has a gourmet twist, not the simple mashed fruit on toast at all, must give it a try. Will be back tomorrow!

Mark S.

Yelp
Excellent coffee and great vibes. Small place with free WiFi to chill while you have a coffee and need some downtime. Staff here is great and pointed me to a cool local bar when I asked for some recommendations. All around great. Will definitely come back if I visit again.

Marie S.

Yelp
The pros: great coffee, cute cafe, has WiFi, friendly staff The cons: no almond milk :(
google avatar

Neil N.

Yelp
Walked 22 minutes to get here and was well worth it. Best latte, expresso and avocado toast so far on my trip. Didn't have take out cup carriers though making it impossible to carry three drinks back to our hotel by myself. Had to drink mine at the shop, which wasn't a bad thing.

Yelp
Great coffee shop in the heart of Paris. We are visiting from the US, and stopped here a couple times. Staff spoke English. Bonus, they have Oat Milk as an alternative to regular. Highly recommended!
