Honestly, I held off trying this place for a long time because of all the negative reviews when they opened. But since I was in the area I decided to give it a shot. It seems like they have addressed the issue of the lack of matcha flavour in their drinks. My Tokyo Fog packed quite a punch. Before mixing it, I could taste the matcha and earl grey halves very distinctly. After mixing it, the drink took a remarkable transformation. It didn't taste like anything I had drunk before - the earl grey melded with the grassiness of the matcha to produce a unique earthy, nutty flavour. I actually really enjoyed it, though I did wish I was able to customize the sugar and ice levels as these are customary at this point. What I didn't like was the matcha roll. It had zero taste of matcha and was way too sweet. The sugar didn't seem like it has been blended well into the baking mix either because I could clearly taste the coarse sugar. It was also almost double the price of the drink, which felt like a rip off. I'm intrigued enough to try the other drink flavours but I'll be avoiding the baked goods.

I visited to get the Buy One Get One Hojicha Drink 50% Off deal, and I was thoroughly pleased with my experience and the taste of the drinks. We tried the strawberry hojicha and the cheesecake hojicha latte, both iced, and both were delicious! They both had a good amount of sweetness (ordered less sugar in the strawberry, and default for the cheesecake), and the tea flavour was delicate and smooth. I especially loved the cheese foam on top of the cheesecake latte, it was salty and cheesy, and blended perfectly with the flavour of the hojicha. I was also pleasantly surprised by the cool-looking interior, with everything being quite shiny and minimalist. Additionally, I liked the kiosk-ordering concept as it gave us more time and less pressure to think. Overall, I would definitely come back, especially to try their matcha drinks. I'm confident that Matcha Matcha is one of the best drink cafes in the city.

Very cool and sleek but importantly the matcha was actually good as well with the vibes! The bathrooms were clean and even had lotion which is always a win, the music was so on brand to the aesthetic it all felt so minimal while still being a genuinely good place. Definitely wouldn’t be going to the Starbucks across from it with something like this around!

Matcha Matcha offers a great variety of drinks, especially for matcha lovers. The taste is consistently good. Prices are a little bit high, but the quality makes up for it. Wait time is fast, around 7 minutes even it was busy. Overall, it’s a nice spot.

I came and placed my order at the kiosk for dining in. When my order was ready I went to pick it up and sat down, only to realize that it had been wrapped in a bag for takeout which I didn’t prefer. From what I know, dine-in orders are usually served on plates. That aside, the overall vibe was really nice! The matcha and chocolate croissant were amazing the matcha had a fantastic taste and I absolutely loved it 😊

We finally got to try Matcha Matcha over the weekend. There is usually a long line up here but surprisingly not too long on a Sunday afternoon. We shared a hojicha soft serve and it was well worth the wait. Strong bold hojicha flavours bursting from each mouthful and just the way I like it. The soft serve is also sprinkled with hojicha powder on top for some extra hojicha flavour. Not many places offer hojicha options so I am happy to have found this spot. Very small inside but love the simple decor. Menu options and orders are placed directly on iPads instead of with the barista.

I’ve never been big on matcha, but my wife loves it, so we decided to check this place out since it’s the spot that everyone’s talking about. Safe to say it lived up to the hype. It’s easily one of our must visit places whenever we’re in Toronto, and after a couple of trips here, I can confidently say it won’t be our last. So far, we’ve tried the Blu, Coco Pandan, Tokyo Fog, Cheesecake, Strawberry, and Matcha Latte, and honestly, they were all great. My personal favorite has to be the Coco Pandan, while my wife really likes the Strawberry. I haven’t personally dealt with the service, but my wife has, and she says it’s top-notch. Even with lineups, the wait is never long, which is a huge plus. Definitely worth checking out whether you’re a matcha lover or just looking for a great drink spot!

MATCHA MATCHA has some of the most high-quality and strong matcha that I have ever had. My company and I ordered the iced strawberry matcha latte and the original iced matcha latte to get a taste of both flavoured and original versions of their matcha drinks. Although a bit on the pricier-side, the sheer colour of their matcha lattes puts to shame all the other pale green matcha lattes being served at Toronto cafés. To a certain extent, I would maybe say that their matcha is a bit TOO strong, but that may very well be my tongue being accustomed to bad matcha. Of the two, my company and I enjoyed the strawberry version more as we thoguht the strawberry chunks in the syrup and its sweetness nicely accompanied the umami of the matcha. Their space is small and has minimal seating, yet it is very nicely designed and has a clean washroom. I will be back to try more flavours! 🍵
