Mater Terrae Restaurant Adult Only

One of the best dinners we had in Spain! The service was impeccable, warm, helpful, excellent suggestions from the staff, every dish was delicious! We totally recommend it

This could be one of the top 10 meals of my entire life. First of all the service is impeccable and the place settings are beautiful. See my pictures! The location is classic and everything they do here is made with local ingredients, including only Wines from Priorat and they have, hundreds! If you’re ever in this area, please be prepared before you come as this is adults only, but make sure you get a reservation so you can enjoy this once in a lifetime experience.

This is the main restaurant in the hotel. Recommended to dine indoors as there are houseflies and wasps outdoors. For starters we ordered the Catalan sausage lasagna with broad beans, mozzarella and nutmeg, avocado gazpacho with smoke sardines and banana chips, crispy egg with truffles foam and artichoke chips. The restaurant recommended a 40 day aged German prime rib (about 1kg) for mains which we had two pieces. For dessert we had the torrija (butter puff pastry, lemongrass ice-cream and Priorat almond crumble), basil foam with strawberries to the oxidised wine and white mousse, figs in textures and vermouth sorbet.

It’s the only restaurant here in the middle of nowhere where. What else do you want? Good service and environment. Spent a wonderful time with the loved ones :)

The Tuna steak is way better than any Japanese grill. All dishes are beautifully plated and tasted absolutely delectable. I salute the chef. And the manager is one amazing guy!

We had lunch here while touring the Priorat region. Food was superb - we both had the filet. The wine list was extensive and the service was perfect - we were 15 minutes late for our reservation which coincided with the end of lunch hour but they were really gracious and didn’t try to hurry us through. I would definitely return.

We had dinner at this restaurant and we have to say that the atmosphere is great and very romantic and chill. The food was also very nice and worth trying. However, the experience was a bit ruined by the quality of service we received. The staff was polite but a bit disorganized. We had to wait quite a while for the waiter to come and take our wine order and another while when we asked for the check. Apparently only one waiter can take payments (?) and for a bit he was nowhere to be found. Overall was a pleasant night but considering that this is the restaurant of a 5* hotels we believe that the service should be more proactive and attentive. We also noticed that plates were arriving to the wrong tables and the couple behind us had to ask like 5 times for their wine as the sommelier was never on sight. Also, as a suggestion you might want to consider leaving the water on the table rather than having guests always asking you for a glass at the time...
