Mathallen Tromsø

I’ve tried several fine dining restaurants in Tromsø, but Mathallen stands out as the best in terms of taste and quality. Every dish was expertly crafted, using fresh, local ingredients that brought out incredible flavors. The attention to detail in both presentation and service made the experience even more enjoyable. For anyone looking for an outstanding culinary experience in Tromsø, Mathallen is the place to go. I’ll definitely be returning.

Nice restaurant in the Tromsø city center. We had a reservation at 17 for dinner. We were seated quickly and the staff was very nice and quick. Our waitress was very helpful and kind, I hope they pay her well! We had wine, catch of the day fish (cod) and the reindeer steak. I had dessert as well. The kitchen is open and you can see them cooking your meal. The meal was very good and fresh. On the other hand, the toilets could use some love. I can recommend this restaurant if you want a fresh meal in Tromsø and drink some wine. They have a really large selection of wine.

We did the 5-course dinner meal and it was phenomenal. The waitress was friendly and helped make sure we got everything in in our allotted time we had. The wine was great. Loved the vibe and open kitchen.

We went there for our first night dinner in Tromso. The whole experience was memorable. We liked the decoration and especially a view into the kitchen. Attentive and friendly service. The food was amazing. We were definitely not disappointed. Glad I booked the table.

One of the few very good, very classy restaurants in Tromsö. The food speaks for itself and the atmosphere is nice and relaxed. My only regret is that I haven't had the chance to go for dinner. The prices are upper level, but as a swiss, that doesn't bother you much

I had a FANTASTIC dinner (4-course tasting menu) at Mathallan. Love the ambiance and the overall vibe. Service was great and the food was really delicious.

Encountered this gem while waiting my costal voyage, one of the top restaurants I’ve went in Europe. I highly recommend it if you are looking for something nice in Trosmo. It’s worth the wait if it’s occupied!

Popular place in Tromso. We reserve a table. We saw many groups turned away without reservation. The staff were friendly and gave good recommendation. The food were excellent. The salmon starter was one of the best we ate before. While i am not a fan of rice pudding, this dessert was so well executed i finished it.
