MATI Art Gallery Fira

I come to this gallery for some 20 years. Mostly I'm a very critical guy. But this gallery and the people I absolutely love. The people are always totally friendly, the artworks and the jewelery are one of a kind. You don't expect a place like that on such a touristy island. When you want a jewelery in another material, they will take care and send it to you. This is a definitive must on your visit to Santorini!

"My family and I recently visited MATI Art Gallery during our trip to Fira, Santorini, and it was truly one of the highlights of our holiday! Located in the heart of Fira, the gallery itself is a gem amidst the stunning Cycladic architecture and breathtaking caldera views that make this area so special. They were incredibly warm and welcoming, sharing their passion for the gallery whilst also taking the time to offer us wonderful recommendations for restaurants, hidden spots, and things to see around Fira and the wider island. Their local knowledge and genuine hospitality made such a difference to the rest of our stay in Santorini. If you're visiting Fira, MATI Art Gallery is an absolute must. The attendance today from the 23.10.2025 was not ok for me I was not feeling ok.i always had the feeling i am stupid here and the cominication was not attentive from seite. And the price to make tax free was not clear for me .I don't want to make a big drama because i visit santorini and the shop.i don't know when i will visit again her. I buy something but not with smiley and happiness. The Art and to get was not completely in a circle of the balance. The shop is my favourite shop when i visit santorini. I like the artwork from the fish and I have some collection from the past in mykonos. Ediz Seramet

Incredible bronze patina art pieces. The metal artwork and framed pictures are beyond impressive. The best gallery we visited in Santorini by far. We will be back for sure.

Terrible service. Like one of the reviews mentioned below that the staff was discriminates against Orientals. I understand they face many tourists everyday but the staff was nice to other customers which they were white. I politically asked if I could see and try on the necklaces - she didn’t want to show them all to me and was being very rude keep asking “so are you buying this one or not?” She kept putting things away so quickly like I was going to steal. The attitude was suggesting that I can only purchase one necklace not more. Just a very terrible experience! I did purchase one thing in the end despite the service because I love to design. But I really don’t recommend this place. Please improve your service or educate your staff!

We happened upon Mati Art Gallery while visiting Fira recently. Yorgas Kypris displays his works which include contemporary sculptures and installations, as well as wearable art. Definitely worth visiting when on Santorini island.

Terrible service. The owner discriminates against Orientals. Extremely rude and shouts to remove the car in front of the store.
