It's a fantastic western style hotel in Matsuyama IMHO. It's a part of IHG/Crown Plaza chain.
I arrived very late at night due to a long travel from Narita. Front desk personnel were very pleasant and courteous as I expected for any Japanese establishment to be.
The guest single-bed room was somewhat small even by Japanese standard, but it was very clean, gave a fresh feeling and very adequate for just an overnight stay. The amenities they offered was very thoroughly considered to offer maximum comfort such as slippers and pajamas/gown. Instant coffee with hot water heater came handy in the morning.
The breakfast buffet was just amazing. I've stayed at a similar Japanese hotel in Shikoku and had an excellent experience, but this one was even more impressive for its variety of offerings both Japanese and Western-style foods. There was an omelette station for made to order eggs. Japanese food section included some local favorites as well as traditional Japanese breakfast. I didn't try because I thought it was too heavy for breakfast, but there was even curry dish offered. To say the least I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast experience here. I'd say it was even adequate for a dinner with all the variety they had.
