Matt's Kitchen

Loved Matt's kitchen! First of all, the place is so quirky and lovely. It's too cottages out together which includes all the highs and lows of that (literally, low ceilings in bits). The decor is very eclectic, there's much to see but not in a bad way. The colours are soothing and put you in the mood to enjoy the meal. Because Matt has a small kitchen, he has decided to only provide one menu for the month. It's very liberating not having to choose what your eating, you just let him surprise you. Only decision is what drinks to bring as it's BYOB. And yes, Matt really treats you well. The combination of flavours and textures is sublime. It's in the small touches, in the great ingredients and the amazing cooking skills. I can't recommend a specific dish as it might not be available when you go, just let him pamper you and enjoy the meal. I gave it a go because of the reviews, I wasn't let down. Thanks Matt! Side note, go to the loo. You'll smile.

one of the most memorable places we’ve ever eaten. The food is delicious and every effort made to offer lactose intolerant options which made my hubby extremely happy. Matt the host and chef if fabulous as were the staff and we loved the decor and ambience. We can’t wait to return!

We had a wonderful meal. Matt was so friendly and welcoming, serving and explaining every dish to us. We loved the relaxed and intimate setting and the food was delicious. Such great value for money and being BYOB was a bonus. Just fabulous!

Had the most amazing 3 course last night. What an experience! Lovely intimate setting and Matt literally opens up his home to welcome a select few. Lovely staff and Matt is a delight to chat to. He spends the time to speak to you on your table, and if your lucky, he might even show you his kitchen. It felt like visiting a friend for a meal, except the friend cooks Michelin star food. If you haven't been, stop thinking about it, just book and go now if you enjoy delicious, well crafted flavours. Looking forward to seeing what's on the menu next month. Don't forget it's BYO, which is great being able to bring along your favourite drink. Keep up the amazing work Matt and the rest of the team. We dined here with friends on Saturday, it was our first time but they had been before. We were greeted my Matt and shown to our table, the decor is very welcoming and comfortable and the whole dining experience was very relaxed. The food was beautiful and Matt and his staff were very attentive, with BYO an added bonus. We will be back.

What a place. A different seasonal menu each month where you get everything listed, and it's BYO 👀 The service and atmosphere was beyond expectations. Matt greeted us at the door and went on to explain each dish as it came out. I emailed prior to the meal to ask if a candle could be put in my husband's dessert for his birthday... Every course featured a candle. Brilliant! The food was of course out of this world. Stunning flavours and all presented beautifully. I cannot recommend Matt's Kitchen enough. This was one of the loveliest and best meals my partner and I have had in ages! Really recommend! We are from London and you would never receive this level of service from both the staff and the chef himself (Matt who is delightful!). Matt introduces every dish himself and every dish we ate was delicious. We loved the intimacy of the restaurant and that you could tell every dish was created with so much thought! The lamb was a particular stand out but all the dishes deserve special mention. Thank you to Matt and his lovely staff for such a fantastic meal!
