Matt's Kitchen

This was one of the loveliest and best meals my partner and I have had in ages! Really recommend! We are from London and you would never receive this level of service from both the staff and the chef himself (Matt who is delightful!). Matt introduces every dish himself and every dish we ate was delicious. We loved the intimacy of the restaurant and that you could tell every dish was created with so much thought! The lamb was a particular stand out but all the dishes deserve special mention. Thank you to Matt and his lovely staff for such a fantastic meal!

I took my friend to Matt's last night as a birthday treat -- and it was! I hadn't been back to Matt's for a few years and it was delightful to see how he has kept pace with modern presentational trends while holding fast to his very personal style. I love how Matt brings back influences from his foreign travels. I can't list the whole menu, but Lamb mechoui was a treat, with a fresh 'pop' of pickled radish on top, crispy chick peas and vegetable cous cous. Check his monthly menu! Matt's Kitchen holds its own with aplomb and a warm welcome, in ever-so-trendy Bruton! No worries. Just go -- and take your own bottle.

What a place. A different seasonal menu each month where you get everything listed, and it's BYO 👀 The service and atmosphere was beyond expectations. Matt greeted us at the door and went on to explain each dish as it came out. I emailed prior to the meal to ask if a candle could be put in my husband's dessert for his birthday... Every course featured a candle. Brilliant! The food was of course out of this world. Stunning flavours and all presented beautifully. I cannot recommend Matt's Kitchen enough. My partner and I visited Matts Kitchen last night - we’ve traveled down from London to stay in Bruton for the weekend and had a superb experience! Matt is extremely welcoming and everything about his food and the restaurant was authentic, this truly felt like being at a dinner party with home cooked food, but to a very high standard. We loved every course and even better that you can BYOB. Thank you Matt for such a unique and brilliant dinner experience - we’ll absolutely be coming back and recommending to others!

What a gem! Such a special place. After paying a deposit having emailed to reserve a table & describing all the various allergies of me & my friends you simply turn up and experience a carefully adapted & flavoured menu. Matt totally understands portion size & combinations of flavours & textures. I feel very fortunate to have Matt’s Kitchen to take my friends to. Thanks for all your customised attention.

Had the most amazing 3 course last night. What an experience! Lovely intimate setting and Matt literally opens up his home to welcome a select few. Lovely staff and Matt is a delight to chat to. He spends the time to speak to you on your table, and if your lucky, he might even show you his kitchen. It felt like visiting a friend for a meal, except the friend cooks Michelin star food. If you haven't been, stop thinking about it, just book and go now if you enjoy delicious, well crafted flavours. Looking forward to seeing what's on the menu next month. Don't forget it's BYO, which is great being able to bring along your favourite drink. Keep up the amazing work Matt and the rest of the team. Amazing food such a great concept. No decision to make just sit back and enjoy the gorgeous food. Matt a lovely person obviously proud of his restaurant and so he should be. His staff are great too.

My wife, brilliantly, booked Matt's Kitchen to celebrate my 50th birthday. It really was the perfect choice. The dining experience is unique, the welcome warm and the food, well, simply divine. Matt is a superb host, fun, warm and friendly, and his passion for his food is obvious. We had three sublime courses, each introduced with an explanation of what we were about to enjoy. And enjoy we did. Each course was a taste sensation, generous in their portion size and flavours. The atmosphere in the restaurant is friendly, comfortable, unique and original. For the quality of the dishes and the personal service, it really can't be beaten. I cannot recommend Matt's Kitchen enough.
