I visited Mauerpark Flohmarkt on a Sunday and had an enjoyable experience browsing the sprawling market. I successfully negotiated two rings down from the initial 3€ price to 5€ total, which felt like fair value. Don't be afraid to negotiate respectfully, especially if buying multiple items. The market gets crowded on sunny Sundays even it it's -7°C but maintains a relaxed, community vibe. It's a proper Berlin experience: locals mix with tourists, and you'll hear multiple languages. Arrive earlier (before noon) for better selection and easier browsing. It's perfect for anyone seeking unique vintage finds, affordable jewelry, or authentic Berlin culture. Budget 2-3 hours to explore thoroughly. Bring cash, as most vendors don't accept cards.

Arrive early and soak up the vibe of this fantastic market and beautiful park! I got there around 8:45 AM. Some stalls were still setting up, but it gave me a great overview and the chance to stroll around at my own pace. By the time I did a second round (around 10:30 AM), it was noticeably busier, but still totally manageable for browsing and finding treasures. It’s a fun mix of second-hand goods, antiques, and new items. Artists and designers also sell their creations here. For me it’s the perfect way to spend a Sunday morning. Afterward, you can hang out in the park for great food and live music, and if you're up for more, the flea market at Arkonaplatz is just a five-minute walk away. Highly recommended!

I really like this flea market, always so vibrant with a variety of jewelry, clothing, antiques, and food stalls. Found a Kodak digital camera here. Also saw some cheap stainless steel jewelries that I’ll definitely come back for. Come visit if you’re close by. They’re open every Sunday.

I have been to better flohmarkts in Germany, There was nothing special, everyshop had almost the same thing nothing unique.

A mid size flea market selling a range of things and with a decent food selection . Seating was reasonably plentiful- we were there early 10ish in the morning- so maybe the crowds had not built up yet. Pleasant atmosphere in a nice park. Not a must do- but pleasant enough to enjoy a meal outdoors

I sold some items at this market a few times. In summer you have to book in advance (multiple weeks). You can book on Sunday at 8am at the box office they have. The prices are per meter and for stands - usually 15-30eur. There are many visitors, so you can definitively sell some stuff. Bring some chairs with you so you don't have to stand the whole day.

It was not too big so you could easily walk around the market. There was a lot of food and it looked all delicious. They use the deposit system for the cups, so you have to pay 2 euros for the reusable cup, and you can get back the deposit when you return the cup in any place sell drinks. The park is a little bit scary because some people smoke weed here but it was during the day when I visited so I'm not worried much.

Fun and interesting place to visit on a Sunday. Lots of stalls selling old and new items. You'll find clothes, shoes, bags, vinyl records, kitchen items, bikes, a few toys, etc. here. Prices seemed to be prettt reasonable as well. There's also quite a few food trucks/stalls (mainly located in the middle of the market) if you are hungry. Cheap beer and other beverages are also scattered. Outside the market in Mauer park you'll see people BBQing on their own grills, as well as people performing (mainly singers) for tips. There's also some swings at the top of the hill and a small playground at the end of the park. Great place to come on a Sunday to rummage through the flea market, grab a bite to eat, or just people watch.

An incredible way to spend a Sunday in Berlin! It's a grand mix of flea market, food stands, and performance art all rolled into one big beautiful place. When you're finished browsing and shopping, make your way to the amphitheater and prepare for some great entertainment. The karaoke and crowd participation are not to be missed. You'll hear everything from traditional German songs,to pop music, and crazy obscure tunes. If you can, grab a couple of drinks before settling into your seat. If not, no worries, there are vendors selling great drinks all around the place. Also, be sure to catch the kids creating and drawing on the wall above the arena. So fantastic!

Most things are closed in Berlin on a Sunday, luckily this flea market is open! And oh what fun it was to spend on a Sunday looking for buried treasure! They got items of all sorts from vintage cameras to vintage postcards from around the world, typewriters, Some vendors have items neatly laid out others have rows of cardboard boxes organized in a random manner. Some boxes can contain a microwave egg cooker and a vintage camera or a stamp book etc. I'll admit it gets exhausting after a while digging through cardboard boxes of stuff. There are also areas to buy new items and food and drink. Tip- negotiate!! This place is def worth a visit and if you get board check out the graffiti wall in the park

I remember stumbling across Bearpit Karaoke on youtube and ended up watching 1 hour of crappy videos and laughing my butt off from the very horrible singers who are brave enough to stand in front of hundreds of people. Time waster? yes, but so worth it. Naturally, I was most excited to see the legendary Karaoke scene at Mauerpark which happens only on Sundays, but guess what? It rained on the ONLY Sunday we were in Berlin. =( Business was still usual for everyone else. The food options are dizzying: fresh squeezed juice for a euro, pizza, bratwurst, mediterranean food, italian, crepes, burgers, I could go on. You will not go hungry here, just bring cash. Lots of vendors with their own handcrafted wares (graffiti artists, handmade bags, etc) and of course, typical flea market bric-a-brac items. Be ready to bargain and walk away if you're not getting the price you want. Wonderful place to spend Sunday Funday in Berlin. Hopefully, the sun is shining when you come.

We traveled here from the US and Colombia. The market was amazing and the different types of goods covered the spectrum. The next time I travel to Berlin I would definitely make more time to browse the market for sure.

Berliners love their flea markets apparently and the Flohmarkt am Mauerpark is the "king of flea markets" according to TimeOut magazine. Thus, spending a Sunday here is a most awesome Berliner thing to do. Before we get to the flea market, can we just add that there is public karaoke here too? Ok now on to the flea market. It's big! Lots of knick knacks that Berliners are trying to get rid off or barter. Furniture, clothes, jewelry, luggage, old records, books, and what have you... you shall find. It's a wonderful place to just wander and take pictures of a cornucopia of color. I got my main tourist buy here - a canvas print of a Berlin graffitied street by a local artist. There is also quite a bit of food here so hungry stomachs won't leave empty. The usual curry wurst is prevalent but there are so many better options. These fresh baked pizzas and whole grilled fish caught my eye when I entered but my advice is to go deep into the fleamarket and look for this Turkish stall manned entirely by women - you'll hear their "danke schön" as you get closer. This was a real cool place to check out some people selling off their old junk. Another mans junk is another mans treasure. It sits on a site that use to be part of the Berlin Wall. So you can find old relics from the Cold War... kinda cool. License plates, pill boxes, post cards, knives, bikes, gum...fur...

If you're the type of person who's ever inclined to duck into an antiques stores or pull over for a yard sale, you have to come here--it is huge! Although it is somewhat filled with tourists, the Flohmarkt is a great place to get a feel for Berlin. There are a lot of booths selling kitschy souvenirs like coasters and post cards, but it's pretty easy to walk right past these to the other booths with antiques vendors unloading giant trucks of great finds. Here's something I wish I had realized: come hungry because there are all sorts of amazing food vendors! The Belgian waffle stand was making everything smell fantastic. Just make sure to take a potty break before you come here, since there's only one crowded, filthy bathroom area in the whole market, and it costs 1€ per person.

Now *this* is a flea market! Stocked with everything from old camera flash bulbs to discount armoires, this is a place to grab an iced chai latte (available in abundance) and browse away an afternoon. There's plenty of traditional German and Turkish food available, so if you're keen on a brat or a toasted sandwich with garlic sausage and cheese, then they've got you covered!

I've been to a good few flea markets in my time but this was above all the best! They have EVERYTHING! Great selection of clothes, accessories, frames, keyrings, prints, collector items, puppet shows, bikes, necklaces, rings, cameras, Berlin wall replicas, new things, old things, wonderful food stalls!(try the yogurt stand, I had a type of cheesy yogurt which sounds not too nice but it was delicious!) can't think of the name of the stall, but if you see it, try it, you wont be disappointed! You could spend the whole day there and not even see half the stalls! It's really big so you'd want to give yourself enough time to have a good perusal about the place! So get there in the morning! The only downside is if it's hot, there really isn't much shade! As I experienced in 30+ degree heat! And it can get a bit overcrowded as alot of local people as well as the tourists are free to roam about on a Sunday there. They also have there what's called the "Bearpit Karaoke Show", this takes place in the amphitheatre that's situated on the hillside just across from the park's basketball court. Members of the audience are asked to sing a song, if the crowd think you're good they'll cheer for you, if not you'll booed all the way home, not for the faint hearted ;) Thousands of people come to see this show every sunday, so get there early to find yourself a seat! :)

This was absolutely one of the best things I did in Berlin. TONS of people come every Sunday to browse the fleamarket of old and new things, crafts, and food vendors. The variety of both people and wares is great--you could easily spend hours poking around looking at stuff and people-watching. There are also lots of street musicians to check out in addition to the famous bearpit karaoke, and most were actually great! Definitely check out the flohmarkt if you are in Berlin on a Sunday!

Nothing beats a sunny Sunday in Mauer park. This park is becoming completely different on the weekend- instead of a laid back park it becomes vibrant and alive with tons of great people, street musicians, good vibes and of course the famous flea-market and karaoke (when the weather is good) Many people, if not everyone- know about this place by now... Tourists, locals, by passers... This is a must at least once in your life. It's a great place to bring yourself, or your friends or whoever comes to visit you When it's sunny I just like to walk around the market a little.. Look at all the cool stuff, and then get some beers from the späti and just lie down and enjoy the park. So if you have some people you know who likes cool antiques, second hand stuff or just walking around plenty of vintage stalls - come here! It's not the cheapest in Berlin but it's definitely a great start :)

I came to Berlin with a bunch of sandals and a pair of running shoes. For 3 months. No one informed me that it is rarely summer in Berlin...and thus, wearing sandals around would not only be foolish, but on cobblestone streets...dangerous. So, I headed over to Flohmarkt am Mauerpark (the most famous Berlin flohmarkt, arguably) to find me some boots. Walking boots. Boots to go with almost every outfit. Boots. And I found them at a second-hand leather good stall for 40 euros, and my life has been forever changed. Also, of interest: *stop at the Quark Fruit stand. If you've not tried Quark, try it. Germans don't mess around with bad dairy, this is straight delicious, you'll be changed. *take said quark, go sit and listen to karaoke. I didn't do this, but I will on next visit. **I did however get a chance to sit (with my mum! awww) at a mimed/pantomime performance that kept me engaged for at least 20-30 minutes. Some pretty stellar performers take the amphitheater stage pre-karaoke to capitalize on the crowds...well done dancing ballerina mime performer! Very nice. The day I visited it was sort of rainy and wet, and then hot like a swamp....super crowded and a bit hard to navigate. It's a clusterf*ck of a place with millions of people, cheap bikes, cheap food, beer, tourists, locals, quark, and probably any imaginable piece of junk you could ever think, dream, wish, hope to own. Or you can just go eat quark and buy some leather boots, watch a mime and call it a day. I did, and I am 4-starring that shiz right here. Notes: -obviously bring cash -go early if you dislike crowds

I loved this market - so much cool stuff and a great variety of foods too. Look for the Brazilian woman selling tapioca pancakes and fruit smoothies - really tasty stuff there.

Mauer Park is huge and full of bargains. If you're into vintage anything - from shoes, to records, furniture, clothes, there will be a stall full of it here. There is a nice mix of both curated stalls with handpicked items, to rows of junk boxes for those who rather have a root around and find their own treasures. There is also a nice range of food - which is not vintage, it's very very fresh! Have a freshly roasted bratwurst with a dollop of mustard in a crispy roll, or stroll by the Turkish ladies busy at work handmaking delicious fresh savoury pastries and durum. There's freshly made ice-cream, juice, specialist coffees, dedicated licquorice stalls, homemade jam and seasonal fruit and veg - in other words, the best of everything. There is also a burgeoning range of Berlin designers selling their own handmade pieces - lots of photography on offer, and graphic design t-shirts are especially a big hit. Added bonus: the "Bearpit karaoke". Once you've plundered the market, have a sit down at the Bearpit along with the big crowd that gathers there (try and get a seat before the 3pm start time!) and enjoy heartwarming renditions of all the classics from unwitting volunteers - it's a unique experience and will probably change your mind about karaoke : )

The second i arrived there, there was a little kid screaming "GET THIS BIKE FOR 3 EUROS !!!"....funny and outlandish prices, but it got me alert for the whole thing. The market is long and colorful enough for you to enjoy the experience. At least 300 stands left and right, with rare old stuff, berlin-souvenirs, funny stuff ala "elctric dog jumping and barking"....and even DJ quipment can be found here. Make sure to visit this place on a sunday, then take a break in the park and listen to some Karaoke.

Mauerpark (Wall Park) is a public park in Prezlauer Berg, Berlin, located along a section of where the Berlin Wall once stood. Every Sunday brings the Flohmarkt am Mauerpark (Mauerpark Flea Market). From 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., locals come seeking yet-to-be-discovered treasures. Mixed with the usual flea market digs - secondhand clothing, furniture, electronics, bikes, dishes and toys - visitors also find an eclectic offering of handmade goods, food stalls, live music and locally-produced food and drinks. Come to the flea market hungry and sample as many food stalls as you can. Keep a look out for the waffles covered in apple sauce and cinnamon-sugar - they are splendid. Seek out the Kaiser Honig honey stand, where you'll find unique honey flavors, such as Currant & Basil and Salty Peanut Disaster. And don't go home without a bottle of Wilde Gärtnerei organic fruit juice, which is produced less than 20 miles outside of Berlin. Try the juice labeled "apfel sanddorn," which is apple and sea-buckthorn juice. If you get overwhelmed by the flea market, check out the rest of Mauerpark, where you'll find musicians and performance artists entertaining enthusiastic crowds. The park is a great place for a Sunday picnic, complete with entertainment. Follow the massive applauding to discover Bearpit Karaoke. Organized by Joe Hatchiban and held in the park's stone amphitheatre, this karaoke session is open on Sundays (3-8 p.m.) and draws thousands of Berliners looking to unleash their inner divas or just witness others making fools of themselves. With plenty of entertainment, shopping and food options, Mauerpark is the perfect place to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Visited on a sunny Sunday the Flohmarkt had some great stuff and the food was excellent! Was a highlight of my time in Berlin

the art of haggling, when two parry back and forth managing to arrive at a price which neither party to the transaction would consider it "robbery". when i want to truly enjoy these special moments, i'll either go to chinatown or a flea market. and mauerpark is an exceptional place to go watch the wonderfully frustrating dance between customer and salesperson. you can buy handmade clothing, possibly stolen bikes, or even a vintage accordion for like 3 euros! they also had talking robots, delicious donners, and other random shit like ... KARAOKE!

If you like flea markets, then the flea market at Mauerpark is a must-see. It has some real finds, and many more finds than crap. It is also unbelievably affordable. There are many food stands and you will have opportunities to try every German specialties, many types of beer, and waffles with toppings like nutella (which is apparently common). Some of the highlights for me were the old cameras, the jewelry, the artwork, and the second hand designer bags. If you go to the flea market, make sure to leave time (at least an hour) to go to Bearpit Karaoke (listed on Yelp as Karaoke Im Mauerpark), also in Mauerpark.

mauerpark flea market is always worth a visit. i already made several good bargains and i keep discovering new things every time i go there. but i must agree that the market is getting too touristic, too crowded and the mass of so-called-artists with their homemade shirts and bags and hats and jewelry is kinda annoying. still, if you're not put off by the crowds of people, mauerpark is for sure a good option for a lazy sunday.

It is because of places like this flea market, and Mauerpark in general, that I love Berlin so much. You can literally get anything here -- and I really mean ANYTHING. From old vinyls, to leather satchels, to full-blown dining room tables, this market has it all. I could (and did) spend hours ambling up and down the dusty, graveled aisles of this rather organised trading space, perusing all of the wonderful vintage things on offer here. Oh, and there's food. Good food. Good veggie food! (uh, hello, veggie hot dog and soy chai!) It's not cheap to buy stuff here (for example, said satchel was around €80), but looking is always free!

The South End open studios event in Boston just inspired me to review Berlin's recurring flea market. There was a ton of random crap, way better than the random crap we here in America offer at yard sales: big tents, old clothes, dishware, and a couple 90210 novels. I used to have those as a kid but I tore out all the photos to make a collage. These copies didn't have photos either, so I didn't buy them.

I visited the Mauerpark Flea Market on my first day of vacation in Berlin. I was really surprised with how huge it was and the large variety of stalls you could visit including food, home furnishings, books, clothes, knick knacks, etc. Finding the flea market is a breeze because the area surrounding it it's so busy. Just follow the crowds! I would recommend making a note of where you entered the market, though, just so you can find your way out again later. I think this market is a great resource for people settling in Berlin or the nearby areas. The home furnishings are cheap and plentiful. For tourists there are fewer buying opportunities because you can't really take a bureau or an antique mirror on the plane, but I found a nice secondhand book stall with a modest selection of quality English books in great condition. Overall it's a must-see in Berlin if you're there on a Saturday, even if you don't buy anything and just want to have a look around and see all the kooky stuff. If you are interested in buying clothes, like any flea market bring things you can change with. For girls, sports bra and maybe spandex running shorts under regular clothes are perfect.

Great place! Really interesting flea market. A lot of vintage stuff and also some new stuff. Also artists and photographers selling their work. The atmosphere is really relaxed despite that it's so crowded. All people are really friendly. Just outside the market there are some artists performing, there's some live music and the famous karaoke. Also sit down at the beach bar to have a drink and watch the people. If you like flea markets this is really one to visit.

Great flea market if it isnt too crowded, which it can get. We waited in a popular looking imbiss line for what looked like authentic burritos. Horrible! Stay away. Rice was under cooked. Beans hd no flavor. Tortilla fell apart and ingredients too. Yuck yuck yuck. Lots of other yummy options to chose from though

A great flea market. Lots of vintage clothing and furniture. Loads of rare vinyl. The downside is it's VERY crowded. Hipsters galore. And the park itself is pretty ugly. Otherwise it's great. A typical Berlin experience. Highly recommended.

So much to see and buy in this wonderful market. Lots of clothes, jewellery and trinkets to buy and the food part is brilliant. Almost every stall has vegan options too which is great. It's lovely to soak up the atmosphere in Mauerpark after the market too. Be warned though, there are a LOT of people who attend this market!

A strip of the former death zone (the empty area between the two parallel walls that actually made up the Berlin Wall) has happily become a large, warren-like flea market. Every Sunday, thousands of Berliners pack the market at Mauerpark, eating Wurst, drinking beer, and browsing the overflowing stalls for furniture, clothing, books, and oddities - from lead letterpresses to staring East German china dolls to vintage educational posters explaining nuclear energy. Bargaining is expected, and can be spirited. Go early if you don't like crowds after 12:00 it gets packed, especially on nice days. Also check out the swings at the top of the park's hill - a soaring view!

Real Berlin old school, but huge, flea market. Expect vinyl, used clothes, pop up good stands and an outdoor beach bar / club around old metal barrel fire pits. Feels kinda like flea market meets Burning Man.

Nice place! When the weather is good it is overcrowded and difficult to shop. When the weather is bad, there are not so many things available... In both cases you will end up buying something even if you didn't plan to... A must "been there, done that" for every Berliner (visitor, tourist, resident)... Enjoy!

They got everything! But everything isn't cheap. The prices varies. But it's definitely worth a visit, not only for the market but also for the entertainers in the park. Be aware - mostly very crowded.

As far as flea markets go, this place is epic. It's absolutely huge... you'll need a few hours if you want to see everything. It's very crowded on Sundays, but this is also supposedly the best place to go. You'll find a little bit of everything here... I ended up buying a coin purse, bike lock, and a BIKE. Totally wasn't expecting to leave with a bike, but started haggling with the owner and ended up getting a great deal on a very nice Bergamont. Definitely something you should experience while in Berlin.

Go early, or brace yourself for a hellish clusterf*ck. If you're looking for nostalgia-trash, head straight to center of the market where you'll find a dozen or so tables packed with junk-filled boxes. Everything is priced at the whim of the presiding JunkLord, but there is all sorts of intrigue to be discovered.

Great flea market with a nice park next door - they do karaoke in the amphitheater and it is a sight to see! nGo talk to the Rasta guys at the top of the hill near the graffiti wall, if you're into that kinda thing ; )

Love it - amazing food, amazing thrifting, people everywhere and musical performances scatttered throughout the surrounding park. If you're visiting Berlin be sure to come check out this park. Take a stroll in the neighborhood around as well(it's beautiful). Definitely the place to go for anything from handmade jewelry to antiques and fabric/materials.

Best way to spend a sunny Sunday in Berlin.

Unfortunately we clearly didn't make it to the Flohmarkt on the best day. A very drizzly and grim Sunday means the usual sea of punters I've heard about stayed at home and by 11:30 when we got there, there was just a couple of tents sheltering a load of bric-a-brac. So on this occasion it's only a 3 stars but I didn't realise this was heavily weather-dependent. However, it is not my last visit to Berlin to be sure so I'll make sure I update this review at the next opportunity.

I visited Mauer Park flea market while on vacation in Berlin. Its so much more than a flea market, however, there are great items being sold there. The kareoke pit is a Must see!!! Pick up basketball games to watch. A beirgarten. People drinking & grilling out. A really good time and it should be given at least a couple hours. Only open on Sundays.

Good food, fun atmosphere, and lots of people. Interesting vintage items and clothing. First time visitor from California and enjoyed this excursion very much after a recommendation from a student. Great street scene and food shops in the area.

This flea market has a little bit of everything. Items range from handmade jewelry & clothing, art & photography to tables that look as if the seller emptied their closet that day. There are many seemingly endless rows of stalls with food and drink stands conveniently located throughout the market. There are price points for all types of people and you could spend hours here searching for the perfect items. New residents to the city should definitely check out the insanely large selection of housewares and furniture in the center of the market. When I visit Berlin again this will definitely be a stop I make.

one of the best markets in the city, next tot he famous but not too pretty mauerpark. historical, generally cheap. Every summer sunday brings in a flood of people, with enough beer sausages and bric a brac for all those who love it.

Ich versuche es wirklich kurz zu machen, aber ;) Es ist glaube ich der grösse Flohmarkt in Berlin, der bekannteste und somit der meist besuchte. Unter 3 Std. war ich noch nie dort Es gibt verschiedene Bereichees gibt die sogenannte Händlerstrasse, dort haben, wie der Name schon vermuten lässt, nur Händler ihren Stand. Also Neuware usw. Teilweise sowas von hohe Preise, aber kann man es ihnen verdenken, die Touris kaufen esalso Mittlerweile ist es so gross geworden, dass es auch etwas unübersichtlich ist, teilweise auch schmutzig, und einige Anbieter sind genervtdoch da muss man hinweg sehen Der Mauerpark Flohmarkt ist ein Event. Man findet immer etwas, und zu 98% sind die Menschen die ihre Sachen anbieten, sehr freundlich und witzig. Wenn man wirklich nicht mehr kann, weil Hunger und Durst plagen, es gibt nicht nur Stände wo man befriedigt wird, nein, es gibt auch Lounges und Cafes. Der Mauersegler bietet allerlei zu Essen und Trinken UNDmeist auch Live Musik. Am besten vorbeikommen und selbst entdecken. für Berlin Besucher ein Muss..und für Berlinerna wir machen uns einen schönen Sonntag ;)

I've lived in Berlin a few years now. The flea market is fine - the prices are cheap and if you're into secondhand clothing (here's looking at you, hipsters) it's a great place to be. But, it's mostly curiosities and clothing for a younger crowd of hippies and hipsters, in their early 20s, these days many of whom are speaking English or Spanish. Nothing wrong with all this if that's for you --- just wanted to warn those of you who, perhaps like me, were/are expecting something else. This is not a long-time local crowd here and the quality of the food can be low. You get what you pay for: just because it's cheap doesn't mean it's good.

great way to spend a lazy sunday, especially in the summer when you can get a delicious fish sandwich for lunch. yum.

This place was seriously one of my highlights of a weekend in Berlin, since it is only open on SUNDAY. So much to see here. For bargin hunters this is probably close to as good as it gets in Europe, people are setting up shop with suitcases and selling things from 50 Euro cents here. Tons of bargins everywhere you just need to know who is willing to negotiate and who is stuck on their price. Don't be afraid to say no to people and walk away if their prices are absurd, because most of the time they will already know this and back off if they want to sell the item bad enough. To really see all of this market you need a good few hours. With the time you can find just about everything from clothes, books, cds, candies, glassware, kitchenware, bags, sport equimpment, electronics, suitcases, food stands, ect. The easiest way to get here is to take the M10/M2 tram or the metro to Bernard Strasse but the crowds don't always know the best ways to go or they direct you to the wrong place, so be sure to ask a local. Overall awesome place if you are looking to shop cheaply, for a wide range of things. A must see in Berlin!
