Maui Pineapple Tour

We had such a great time on the pineapple tour! We had Rudy as our guide and he was incredibly knowledgeable about all things Pineapple! The property was stunning and the pineapple samples we got were the best I’ve ever tasted. The dinner over at the restaurant after was spectacular as well. I highly recommend the tour coupled with the dinner experience!

Great tour of field and plant. Little pricey for what it was but still enjoyed it. We have actually odered a case of of these pineapple for my daughter’s graduation. All the way to Canada eh! They were in great shape and delicious.

Our tour guide was super informative and polite. Any questions we had he could answer. We got to see all stages of pineapple growth and processing. We even got to taste some fresh fruit and WOW was it good. How does a pineapple taste so much like a coconut?! The gift shop was cute and well thought out with conveniently placed hand washing stations and bathrooms. The restaurant on site was one of our favorite and definitely one we'll be back for. The food and drink was nothing but awesome and totally unexpected from a farm tour. You gotta try the pineapple upside down cake! It's drool worthy.

Loved loved loved this tour! Had a great tour guide (Brian) so knowledgeable and funny! Got to stop and get out to see fields, eat pineapple and got a free pineapple already made up to take home on flight! Would 100% recommend this tour! Also got to see workers in action! Great tour for the price!

This pineapple tour was seriously one of the best things we did on Maui—a totally different vibe from just hopping beaches. We learned a ton about how they grow the Maui Gold pineapple, which was way more interesting than expected. Our guide was awesome and made the whole thing fun. Pineapple picked fresh right there is insane. It's the sweetest, juiciest we've ever tasted. If you're looking for a unique Maui experience that's both educational and delicious, book this tour!

Highly recommended pineapple tour. Don't let the price deter you, worth every cent. You get a pineapple and is shipable or just eat it ! It is the sweetest I've ever tasted. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, as she grew up on the farm and knows the trails and tribulations of the business. When you visit Maui, this is a must do !

We had a fantastic experience visiting the Maui Gold Pineapple plantation in Maui! Our guide, Rudy, was incredibly knowledgeable — his years of hands-on experience growing pineapples made the tour truly special. We learned so much about the process, from how many pineapples each plant produces to the best time for harvesting and what causes them to turn yellow. One of the highlights was getting to plant our own pineapples and sampling some of the fresh fruit — absolutely delicious! Rudy also shared fascinating stories about the history of the plantation and the surrounding area, which made the tour both educational and unique. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Maui. It’s a wonderful way to gain a deeper appreciation for this iconic island fruit and the people who grow it.

Had a wonderful experience touring the Maui Pineapple farm and learning the process of growing pineapples. The staff was accommodating when we got delayed for the tour. Our guide Brian was informative as well as entertaining, making the tour even better! Our family loves pineapple so it was a treat having fresh pineapples on the farm. We got a Maui gold pineapple each at the end of the tour- neatly packed to take as a carry on for flight travel. They have a store with cute merchandise as well. Please give yourself extra time to get to the farm if traveling from Lahaina/Kanapali. Highly recommend this farm and tour!

Our tour guide Shiloh was excellent. He was very personable and funny. He gave us a lot of good information on the pineapple industry as well as on Hawaii. We got to eat a few different kinds of pineapples fresh from the field where we were at. It was a great tour. I would highly recommend it.

Tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable. We learned and saw the process of how the pineapple grows, is harvested, and packaged. We ate pineapple in the field of pineapples and took home our own pineapple. Our entire group enjoyed the presentation. Thank you!

Great tour, very informative and I really appreciate the pineapple even more now! Kennedy was full of knowledge and so passionate about the pineapples and Maui Gold as a company and family. After hearing about all of the hard work and challenges that Maui Gold has faced I just have so much gratitude and respect for this farm. We got 6 pineapples for our family and we have already finished 4 of them. They taste amazing, sweet and fresh and I am even eating the core now that I know all of the benefits that come with it.

Was afraid this would be like Dole on Oahu. Just a jumbled mess and crowded. Decided to take a chance after reading up more. Was pleasantly surprised. Learned a lot about pineapples. The pineapple flower before it blooms is so pretty. And Maui Gold is delicious. Hopefully one day, we will get Hawaiian pineapple back on the mainland. Kennedy was a great tour guide.

We booked their tour online with the dinner next door at Hali'imaile General Store. They have a regular tour of the farm with no dinner as well. I LOVED this tour & it is definitely worth it. Your start point is at the Maui Gold Store and then you get in a small van to transport you up to and around the farm. You make 3 stops- first one where the pineapples are flowering, second where the pineapples are ready to pick, & third is at the packing factory. I loved seeing the flowering stage- it makes for beautiful photos. Second stop is where you get to try the Maui Gold. Our tour guide was Rudy- he is fantastic, funny, & very knowledgeable. I really enjoyed the education behind the tour of the farm, growing a pineapple & what it takes to get it to your door. There are 4 men over the age of 60 who hand plant the pineapples- that just blew my mind. We also get a pineapple at the end of the tour that is airplane ready. After the tour they bring you back to the store where you can shop & then we had our dinner next door. Parking- they have their own parking spots

What a fantastic birthday experience! We took the Maui Gold Pineapple Tour and was blown away by the dedication it takes to grow these delicious fruits. From seedling to harvest, it's a long journey filled with meticulous care. I had no idea it takes nearly 18 month to grow a perfect pineapple! Serious stuff! If you're ever in Maui, this tour is a must-do. You will receive one Maui pineapple to take home. We carried on two pineapples in a box back home to Vancouver, BC. Brian was a great tour guide who was very knowledgeable and entertaining. I highly recommend booking this tour when visiting Maui. Best tasting pineapple I have ever had.

Really enjoyed the tour. Brian shared a lot of information with quite a bit of humor. Pineapple tastes amazing. Beautiful land overlooking the ocean and mountains. I was particularly interested to learn that while pineapples don't require any pollination to produce fruit, they do become seedy with pollination. For this reason and thanks to Dole, hummingbirds are not allowed on the island. Because they are such great pollinators of pineapples, they turn them extremely seedy. I did see honeybees pollinating the pineapples, so if you get a seed in your pineapple here and there, you can thank a honeybee. Why 4 stars? OK. You give an entire tour with all the tips on how to pick a great pineapple. You totally turn me into a pineapple snob. Then, I get back to our condo and find that the free pineapples seemed a little old or perhaps picked too late or both. Don't get me wrong, they still tasted fantastic, but they were just a little less good than the "perfect" one we tasted in the field and I was kind of expecting the pineapples in the box to match the description of what we were just taught.

Absolutely recommend this tour to everyone. Even if you don't like pineapple this tour is sure to change your mind. It changed my wife's. Hopefully you will get Shiloh as your guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. Mahalo Shiloh!!!

So their pineapples are truly spectacular and unique, their shop is really great, their staff are very pleasant, but their tour is really expensive and I cant justify it as much I wanted to do it

A delightful and informative tour of the operations and fields at the pineapple farm. Best part was tasting fresh pineapple in the fields with views from the mountains to the sea.

I never knew there was so much detail to farming pineapple! The Maui Gold process is sustainable and the tour explains so much about history and the difference btwn this high quality pineapple and what you get in the grocery store on the mainland. Impressive! Of course, as many have already mentioned, your own freshly boxed pineapple is included with the tour

I use to hate pineapples.. but not any more after tasting Maui Gold! This was a fabulous tour and our guide, Brian was so knowledgeable and funny. His companion "Jimmy" is a sunglasses wearing pineapple who loves to pose with you for photos! I highly recommend this tour and ask for Brian. You won't regret it!

What a fun educational tour. Arrive on time/early because I arrived about 2 minutes early and they called me to inform me the bus will leave exactly 5 minutes after the reservation time. Example our time was 1:45 and the shuttle left promptly at 1:50pm. They start by taking you into the small factory and give everyone a free pineapple to take home (it's already TSA/culturally approved for airplanes). After the guide will take you to the fields where you get to get pictures as well as taste three different types of pineapples, green ones, gold ones, and a mix of gold/green. All were delicious and we learned so much about how to pick pineapples at the super market. A pretty reasonable experience for the $95pp price point. FYI - I found a code online (ABENITY). Worth a try if it still works but it was 15% off which is a nice savings.

We loved this experience. Bryan, our tour guide, was fun and informative. The tour was not too long but covered all the important elements and the pineapple was delicious. Plus the Pineapple Store was adorable!

Great family tour! Online booking was easy. Plenty of parking in the lot. Easy check-in and a big retail store to look around in while waiting. Tour was facilitated via some walking, and via a mini-shuttle through the farm/plantation. We stopped in several areas to see the different stages of the pineapple, and towards the end of the tour, we were able to try fresh pineapples - delicious! Kennedy, our tour guide, was thoroughly informative, and quite the talented pineapple cutter (with a machete)! At the end, Kennedy took photos of us with my camera phone, as well as with their camera, and we were sent a link to a digital photo with the Maui Pineapple logo in the corner. The tour seems pricy but I think it's worth it because you get a pineapple to bring home (in your checked bag), to grow your own pineapple! I don't know if I have the patience to try in Vegas but at least I have the opportunity :)

Really enjoyed this tour---unfortunately, don't know if I will ever eat a pineapple from the mainland again LOL. The pineapples were incredibly sweet and delicious! I learned to much about the health benefits of pineapples, how they grow and how they ripen. Keillan was our tour guide and he was quite amusing and friendly. He even shared some personal anecdotes about growing up in Hawaii which was very interesting. I would recommend the tour and Keillan.

What a great adventure our Pineapple Farm tour was today. Our guide, Kennedy, was fantastic. She shared not only her knowledge of pineapple but many backstories and interesting information on pineapples and the wonderful people of Maui. She actually grew up on the farm and as part of the larger community are working hard to preserve the Maui pineapple business and traditions. The store has many wonderful gifts including shirts, food items, books and more. I would encourage you to make some time to take the tour and experience the best tasting pineapple around.

Didn't get to do the tour itself but we tried the pineapple while visiting. We bought 8 pineapples back because they were so sweet. Didn't have an issue packing them into our large suitcases (make sure to property wrap with paper bags)

Awesome experience to experience Maui's largest and oldest pineapple farm. Our tour guide was funny and informative. Our bus was probably about half full which was perfect. During the tour we were able to get off the bus to take pictures, try pineapples and tour the factory. The gift shop was cute and there is a distillery and tasting room if your group is of age for either pre or post activity. Definitely recommend to add to your list. We received TSA friendly boxes to take some pineapples home with us.

We had an awesome time and learned so much from Rudy our tour guide. Will definitely do it again when we are back on the island. Happy retirement Rudy! Thanks for sharing all of your knowledge with us!

We enjoyed the tour 10 years ago and decided to bring an aunt. My husband and aunt not as mobile but Brian was kind. He made sure they enjoyed the tour as well. He brought them pineapple slices inside the bus. Thank you Brian!

This was an exceptional tour with a very personable and knowledgeable tour guide. She shared historical, cultural and local community information that kept the tour engaging. It was a treat to visit the farm and also taste the famous Maui Gold, so incredibly delicious! Definitely a MUST on a visit to Maui... AND you get a free Maui Gold packaged to take with you on the plane with the opportunity to purchase and ship more as souvenirs!

This is a great way to spend a couple of hours in Maui. Brian, our guide, was very engaging, and frankly it is worth it just to get the included Maui gold pineapples! There is nothing else like them, and they are impossible to find in stores, being only provided on the tour or o resorts.

Kennedy was an awesome guide. I learned so much about my favorite fruit. The length of the tour is about 90 minutes which was perfect. Plus everyone leaves with a Maui Gold Pineapple. Afterwards we walked around the town of Paia. I highly recommend this educational tour!

What a fun experience! My family and I really enjoyed this tour. We always like learning how things work/made/created so this tour was perfect for us. Our guide was knowledgeable even pointing out her childhood home right across from the fields to show how invested she is. We enjoyed seeing the stages of growth, getting out into the fields to see everything up close, and of course sampling the pineapple! This isn't a rigorous tour since most traveling was done via shuttle. We would highly recommend this tour!

Our guide was Shiloh. Super interesting/fascinating tour suitable for all ages. Not only did we learn about production and growing, but also a great deal about how the industry impacted the islands, contributing to commerce and shaping communities. The little tasting at the end was fantastic. Just a great overall experience.

Such a great tour. Our tour guide did a great job explaining how pineapples are grown, about the Maui Farm 's operation & history , we were able to taste a pineapple and take a pineapple home. We also got really good information about local places for good island food. The store was fun to shop in too, Well, worth the visit plus our visit helps keep the farm operating.

We very much enjoyed our time on the tour. We were fortunate to be paired with the general manager of the pineapple farm, which gave us a depth of knowledge about the pineapple industry that amazed us. Being on the property was very important as we are also farmers and could appreciate the love and care that goes into growing a fabulous product.

So much more pineapple info was not aware of. Our guide "Shilo" was an amazing teacher and led with true island ALOHA. Never saw somany pineapple and at different stages of growth. Also received good insight on how to grow my own pineapple .

Loved being able to see pineapples from all kinds of stages. You get to take pictures with the pineapples too and take one home! We had the best time! Rudy (our guide) was so knowledgeable and friendly! The dinner afterwards was so delicious! Best Mahi Mahi we've had in a long time! The pineapple shop was reslly fun! Wouud highly recommend the farm to table dinner after the tour!

If you're obsessed with pineapples like I am, this tour is for you. It's kinda like a museum tour where they go over the history and facts except you also get to touch the products! They had a little store you can browse while you wait for your tour. Then they get you on a mini school bus to start the tour. The whole tour was about 1.5 hours and didn't require much walking. They drove us through the pineapple fields and explained the different types of equipment. We then reached a little sitting area in the middle of the field with gorgeous views to learn more about pineapples and try and few slices. Part of what we learned was how to plant one on our own which you can get directions for after the tour. We then drove through a field of baby pineapples and I was sad we didn't get to stop because they were so cute!! We then stopped at a field of mature pineapples to take pictures. The last stop was back towards the front where we got to see the production site of packaging the pineapples and picked up our own box to take home. I wrapped up my time there was a frozen pineapple slushee from a mini cart in front of the building because I couldn't help myself. I loved my time there and it gave me more appreciation for growing a pineapple which takes 1.5 years!! The Maui gold ones were extremely sweet and I can see why they're so expensive.
