Maui Tacos - Napili

Stopped by for a quick bite before heading to the beach. Super tasty authentic Mexican food!! Reasonably priced menu. Friendly & speedy service! Plenty of parking in the plaza. Highly recommend this place for a quick bite on your way to the beach!!

Almost gave it a 4 but I decided on 5 despite the fact that the mild salsa was like water (see pic) and also the water tasted like they hadn’t replaced the filters in forever. The Shrimp tacos are the way to go! If you don’t like shrimp the fish taco is also excellent. I went during happy hour and had 1 each of the shrimp, fish, and chicken tacos for 1/2 off which is good because at 1/2 off it should be the normal price. Almost got up to order a second shrimp taco it was so good but my stomach just said that’s enough lol. I will be at one of these again on my trip. Tried another taco place called Ono Tacos 2 days ago but it was horrible. I should have known by the name.....too close to ano in Spanish 🤣🤣🤣

My new favorite place for Mexican food! Amigos in Lahaina is so so - ok? But I was missing my momma and her tacos and this place really hit the spot. Super friendly staff, they even gave my puppies a yummy treat! James was awesome. The girls making the food were sweet and gave me good recommendations. I didn’t catch the name of the cashier, but he was super cool too. I read a review from some woman from Texas that said it wasn’t authentic.. so wrong. I’m Mexican and I give it two very enthusiastic thumbs up.

Went here for a quick bite on vacation. Service was fast and margaritas where slightly watered down but still gave me a buzz and tasted good. I can’t give it a 3.5 but I would, however with more knowledge of the menu I would give it a 4. The cashier recommended the shrimp tacos which was delicious, and the pork was also really good. They offer a free mini self serve salsa bar which had delicious salsa.

I stumbled upon this place but was pleasantly surprised. The fish tacos were my favorite. I also enjoyed the BBQ and chicken tacos. The pineapple salsa was my favorite topping. Staff is friendly, dress is casual and prices were fair.

Good taco shop. It’s a great place to go for an relatively inexpensive meal in Maui compared to the resort restaurants. Unlike most Maui restaurants, Maui Tacos didn’t have a wait for a table. You order at the counter and then sit or take your order to go. The guy at the counter was nice but seemed a bit overwhelmed. They have a large bar area but it was empty and underutilized. Seems like they could add a few TV’s and a bartender and mood lighting and double their business. My Margarita was large and tasted good. My tacos were good. They give you “chips” but only a handful on the plate along with your entree. Not sure why they don’t offer a bowl of chips to enjoy while your food is being made. This is how it’s done in California, other Mexican restaurants in Hawaii, and all over the US. They have a salsa bar with about 6 salsas advertised, yet only 3 were available. All salsas are currently in very small plastic cups.

Quick service, Covid distancing maintained. Food came pretty fast, delicious and hot. If we had more time on. vacation, would definitely go again. I'm not a fan of beans, they were kind enough to accommodate me since food is made fresh.

Found this place while craving tacos for lunch. Very chill and friendly. The food portions were generous and tasty, with a bright atmosphere. I really like that they sell metal straws for only $1. Definitely worth visiting!
