Incredible B&B! First, the room was excellent. Very large, great bathroom, and every amenity available. Easy to follow check-in procedures and we were greeted with a wonderful tray of goodies. Water, fruit and more were already in the fridge waiting for us. Plus, well thought-out items such as sunscreen, towels, and more. Plenty of air conditioning and fans made for comfortable nights. Our room also had a nice private outdoor sitting area! As for the hosts, Eva was amazing. Not only super responsive and helpful with questions, but also just a wonderful person with which to hang out and chat over morning coffee! This was an amazing find – a much better option than even upscale hotels, and at a fraction of the cost. Great location as well.

Absolutely Wonderful Stay!|My fiancée and I stayed at Maui What a Wonderful World B&B for five nights, and we had an amazing experience from start to finish. The owners were incredibly welcoming, kind, and accommodating—they truly made us feel at home. We stayed in one of the suites, which was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed and more. One of our favorite parts of each day was waking up and enjoying our morning coffee on the lanai—it was the perfect, peaceful start to every morning. The location is ideal: quiet, safe, and just a short drive or walk to the beach and great local spots. The entire property is clean, cozy, and full of the aloha spirit. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Maui. Highly recommend, and we can’t wait to come back!

This bed and breakfast is absolutely beautiful. The inner garden alone is a gem, perfect for relaxing and reading a book while listening to the peaceful sounds of birds and breeze. Great location very close to the beaches and to downtown Kihei. A lot of extra free amenities like beach chairs, beach towels, umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, also available washer and dryer. Good assortment of breakfast. Eva is a fantastic guest and she went above and beyond to help us in anything and gave us great advice for our stay. Bonus a super cute bunch of dogs and puppies! We will come back!

The pineapple room suite was very comfortable and private. Eva was a wonderful host. She was very generous with her time, the food she provided and travel advice. She had fresh cut fruit for us daily plus cereals, bagels, breakfast sandwiches, cookies and snacks to choose from. We appreciated the large fridge and ice trays to use. The room had AC if needed as well as fans. Eva was very thoughtful with attention to details for travelers needs.

We are so glad we found this place for our week long stay on Maui. Eva has been doing this hosting thing for 20+ years, and it shows! She has added so many little touches to the rooms and common spaces that improve the experience and boost it well above a resort or hotel. She had great recommendations and connections. She provides ample breakfast options and snacks, beach gear, kitchen stuff, and so much more. She was always available and responsive, but still laid back. Her place isn’t right on the beach, but it’s super walkable to many beach parks and restaurants. We took our morning coffee from the deck everyday, greeted by her just-waking up and super cute dogs. We watched sunset from the beaches around her place. Access to the Makena area and all it offers was really convenient. We drove to Hana, Haleakalā, Lahaina, and Waihee Ridge all from her place. It gives you great access to the whole island. She also upgraded us to a bigger room without us asking, which just topped off a wonderful stay. Plus, the price is super affordable for the island. I would choose this place over any high-end resort.

Maui What a Wonderful World Bed and Breakfast is the absolute best place to stay while visiting Maui.Take it from me beca.use I've stayed there several times and have been in every suite. The owners,Eva and Jim will make you feel totally welcome and attend to your every need. The suites are very spacious with great natural and soft dimmable lighting. The kitchens and luving rooms are big and stocked with all kinds of breakfast treats like fresh fruit, yogurt, granola and more in the refridgerators. There is also a beautifully landscaped garden/grilling/sunning area outside your suite. They have thought of everything you might need on your trip. The suites are designed in stunning Hawaiian motifs with hand made Hawaiian quits on the plush orthopedic beds. The suite are air-conditioned but I found that the suites are so well ventilated I was comfortable with the soft breeze and fans. The neighborhood is safe and quiet and peaceful. You also can not beat this location. Its 5 minutes from the most beautiful beaches and sunsets on Maui. There are many great restaurants near by as well. Also you just can't beat the reasonable price!Eva and Jim are seasoned hosts that really give their all to making your stay seamless ,secure. warm and WONDERFUL.I wouldn't stay anywhere else. You will be very happy staying here. They are simply the BEST !|♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡

My friends and I recently went to Maui and stayed at what a wonderful world. We arrived late and we were able to check in with no issues. When we walked into our rooms there were baskets of food as described on the website and a welcome letter. The next morning we met Eva and Jim upstairs on the lanai which by the way is beautiful. You can look right out into the ocean.as we were all talking with them. They gave us suggestions on the places they thought were the best and we should try both tours and restaurants, beaches etc.We did try some things and they were spot on. Eva also told us where they kept the beach chairs, umbrellas, even boogie boards..They had all right there at the house for Guest to use wow she even has a separate washer and dryer. If you need to wash your clothes amazing everything that you could possibly need she had. Eva and Jim really nice people are welcome to help you in anyway my friends and I were saying how they made us feel like family.Definitely going here again me and my friends. |⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I have never found a vacation rental so thoughtfully laid out and equipped. Although I have been to HI many times, it was perfect for my wife's first visit to the island. From the moment of arrival we were made to feel.welcome and provided with all the information we needed for a wonderful stay.||Upon leaving for another island, the hostess wished us safe travels and not to hesitate to contact her if we had any upcoming questions. All in all, it was excellent, family like and very welcoming. Mahalo, Larry & Dee Dee

Yelp
Maui What A Wonderful World Bed and Breakfast is definitely a lovely and peaceful location in Kihei and I absolutely enjoyed my stay here! Owners Eva and Jim are awesome and have operated the bed and breakfast for many years now and it was such a pleasure to meet them during my stay as well as meet their family and super cute energetic smaller terrier dogs. I was in the Papaya Suite and definitely plenty of space, with a separate bedroom, kitchen bathroom, and the living room! And did I mention, the great breakfast food and other snacks in the provided basket as well as fresh fruit, cereal, milk and other items inside the refrigerator and freezer? Definitely saved me time and money from having to drive to the nearest bakery or market! Yes, this is a real Bed & Breakfast and definitely worth every dollar! There are three other suites available for booking and there is usually no minimum stay required except during certain times of the year like the holiday season or special local events, for instance. Also, guests are offered a 10% discount if they pay in check/cash versus charging to their credit/debit card, and I opted to provide Eva with the check. You will also find two common areas, and one of them is right outside the Papaya Room on the ground level where there are other tables, chairs, and a BBQ. The other common area is upstairs on the lanai, where there are more tables and chairs, and ultimately a lovely view of Kihei and the West Maui Mountains! Definitely would love to come back and stay at Maui What A Wonderful World Bed and Breakfast for the next stay in Kihei and South Maui!

Yelp
It was our first time staying in Maui and my husband and I had a lovely time at this grand bed and breakfast. Our hosts were Eva and Jim and they were more than generous with the breakfast and amenities at their home. During our stay in the Pineapple suite, the restroom/kitchenette/bedroom were organized and had plenty of space for two people. It was easy to feel at home within the first few minutes after settling in. Eva was easily accessible for questions about the island/ local recommendations and was more than accommodating for our breakfast options (fresh local fruit, pastries, coffee, etc.). There was also onsite laundry, swim gear, and sunscreen/mosquito repellent. Whatever Eva was managing with guests, we also observed that Jim kept up with quick repairs/maintenance on the property. My partner's favorite part of this stay was the fruit and their dogs!!! I too loved their fur babies in addition to the view from the second floor deck (phenomenal during sunset). We are truly impressed with the hospitality and welcome that these seasoned hosts provided.

Yelp
Owners Eva and Jim are like angels on earth. The location of the B&B is perfect, the neighborhood is beautiful and all the neighbors are friendly, during my stay there were flowers blooming in what appeared to be everyone's yard. There is adequate parking and a wonderful outdoor yard space and a grand balcony upstairs with an amazing view of the sunset. The beach is about a mile away or less and as a runner I had the privilege of running to the beach every morning during my stay. Ava is a wealth of knowledge and knows everything about the island. If she gives you suggestion, take it. We talked about beaches, Oprah, skydiving and I enjoyed every conversation. I wish ever person I encounter while traveling are as kind, friendly and easy going as Ava and Jim. I highly recommend staying at What a Wonderful World Bed and Breakfast.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! Close to the beach, private, quiet, clean, and the best hosts ever. Jim & Bitty were so accommodating & treated us like family. I highly recommend a stay here when visiting Maui. You will NOT be disappointed. We will be back. Thank you for making our first trip to Maui so memorable.

Yelp
Eva was a wonderful host. She is very knowledgeable about local activities including restaurants, beaches, etc. The suite was large, clean quiet, and comfortable. Out suite had a very comfortable queen bed and was well furnished. We rarely heard other guests in their rooms. The large TV had a good selection of channels. There was a washer/dryer and soap available for guests. Beach chairs, umbrella, beach towels, boards, sunscreen, and bug repellant were available. The room rate was a fraction of the amount charged by nearby properties. We have found or new home in Maui (for a week a year). Because of Covid we did not have communal breakfasts, but Eva furnished plenty of food including fresh fruit, yogurt, egg and sausage sandwiches, muffins, and milk and OJ our suite. Internet would occasionally come and go for my PC but my wife had no issues on her iPad.

Yelp
My husband and I just returned from spending a relaxing 10 nights in the Mango suite, and we couldn't be happier with our decision to stay here. The suite was spacious with a separate bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and living area which was perfect for us for a long trip to have room to spread out. The kitchen came with everything we could need for breakfast (fresh fruit, pastries, cereal, yogurt) and Eva was wonderful about refilling with our favorites whenever we asked. We had a nice little table and chairs outside where we enjoyed the beautiful garden, but our favorite place to sit was on the upstairs lanai where we quickly developed a morning routine of sipping our coffee, taking in the incredible view, and chatting with our lovely hosts. Eva and Jim were great to talk to and offered really helpful suggestions for dining and activities. We also greatly appreciated the option to do laundry and the cooler, chairs, beach towels provided for our use. We loved the location in Kihei, going most often to the local beaches and restaurants but also finding it easy to get from here to just about anywhere on the island (especially nice for quick airport access, and an extra thanks for letting us check in early when we arrived!). Staying here felt like a bargain compared to the prices we saw at hotels/airbnb, and yet we had everything we needed and more!

Yelp
My husband and I loved staying here. We stayed for 4 days, 3 nights in the pineapple suite. We are so happy we chose this bed and breakfast. It was like our home away from home. We enjoyed it so much, we forfeited one night in lahaina and instead we extended our stay an extra night in kihei. The property is lovely, large, and peaceful. Serenity at its best. The room was spacious, updated, AC, patio, and lovely furnishings. Large windows with great views of all the green landscaping! It also came with a parking space which was convenient. It was everything we needed. Breakfast with Eva and her doggies was so nice in the mornings. Eva is so kind and very helpful with island activities and or suggestions, recommendations. The balcony has quite the view, of course there is an ocean view :). Yes... coffee, happiness and ocean views. The breakfast is perfect before you head out for the day, you can be simple as cereal, fruit, toast, or play chef and make your self a breakfast sandwich/panini. We definitely recommend staying here. Cheers!

Yelp
We had a fantastic stay at the bed and breakfast! Our room was clean, quite large, and had lots of character. We woke up to a delightful breakfast and coffee! It was a perfect start to our trip. We'll be back to Maui soon, and we'll definitely be staying here again. Thank you Eva!

Yelp
Near perfect experience. If you are staying in Maui, this is the ticket! Our room was nicely appointed and our hostess a true delight. I will stop with all of the stuff that was perfect, or nearly so, and list my complaints. 1. Took awhile to get back with us. Like 5 hours. We needed a room for Wednesday night on Monday and it took several frantic calls to get an answer. And then she did not take any information aside from my name. Wow! No credit card to charge if I did not show, what kinda people were we dealing with? (Trusting I think) 2. Bottom step leading up to the room was loose. In another year or so it may cause a problem. Well, that is about it. My two big "negatives". Wish we had stayed here at the beginning of our trip and not the end, as the hostess knows almost all the touristy things there is to do on the island. We had a great breakfast with her and cold have talked for hours....

Yelp
100% a must if you are staying in Maui. The owners are so kind and helpful, they've got boogie boards, beach towels, beach chairs, and sunscreen to make sure your beach experience is everything you want it to be. Our room was beautiful, and we even got an upgrade due to a better room being available during our stay (free!). Huge windows and palm trees galore in the courtyard. A beautiful view that kept us from turning the TV on even when it's raining. The area where breakfast is served has a beach/ocean view, and we saw a whale while sipping our coffee! So cool. This place had me walking away saying "What a Wonderful LIFE!"

Yelp
From the get go this was like staying with old friends, a big hug from Eva and a mi casa su casa vibe. The room I had was beautiful and spacious (Pineapple) and the breakfast spread in the mornings was fantastic. Chances are you'll have a car but I did a lot of walking which offset all the amazing food I was eating - the Taco Truck in the triangle was a favorite as was What Ales You for beers - if you're like me and travel with an adventure hammock, there's a perfect spot between 2 trees in the park right at the bottom of the hill overlooking the ocean. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!!

Yelp
Gorgeous Hidden Gem! I stayed in the Pineapple Suite, and my only regret was that I couldn't stay longer! The room was spacious, comfortable and had every little amenity I could think of. Location was perfect. The owner, Eva, was exceptionally warm and friendly- within 30 seconds of meeting her she felt like an old friend- and was super helpful to boot. I'm literally planning my return trip already!!

Yelp
We stayed here for one night while we waited for our timeshare to open up, but would have definitely stayed our entire trip! Eva is an amazing host! The room was super clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was also great. We will definitely be back!

Sharon P.

Yelp
What a gem for seasoned travelers. The hosts, Ava and Jim are wonderful. Accommodations are Hawaiiania with incredible breakfast. Perfect for the traveler that wants to avoid the tourist laden hotels and condos. Close enough to "town" to enjoy beaches, night life-far enough to relax and enjoy the sounds of the birds and the palms.

Yelp
Had an absolutely great stay here (5 nights) but the best part is I left with a new friend. Eva was so amazing and helpful. I traveled alone to Maui but she was so helpful. She even bailed me out of a difficult situation at a hotel on my last night in Maui. I have no doubt my trip would have been no where as wonderful as she made it! When I originally called her to make my reservation she did not take Discover which was the card I needed to use. She called her merchant services provided and had it turned on just for me. I was happy to pay the fee incurred because it because staying at this B & B saved me half the money I was going to pay to stay at a hotel. This is a great location and very quiet. Its literally up the street from the beach. Perfect!!! Thank you Eva for everything!!! Miss you!!

Yelp
Eva and Jim are the best! Breakfast was awesome! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Eva really took care of me on very short notice--allowing me to relax and enjoy my stay!

Yelp
We loved staying here it was so nice and so friendly. We stayed in January of 16 prime whale season fun to watch. Breakfast was standard continental (I wish Hawaii allowed home cooked) but even so was good. The knowledge of the island was great!!! Got to hear about some of the more interesting parts of Hawaii not just the tourists kind of stuff. We enjoy hiking so we picked her brain for some good ones, and she sure delivered. If you are thinking about staying here, do it. You will be very happy that you did.

Yelp
This place i have to come back. It made me want to go back to Kihei so much as we had the best memory in kihei by living in this house, which is so clean. the housekeeper Eva is very friendly and welcoming. i enjoy talking to her. my parents love papaya suite, which is so beautiful inside, very comfortable and spacious. i love how the TV was hung and the kitchen table is very practical. everything is perfect at this Wonderful World B&B.

Yelp
Sitting on my lanai amidst the ferns and palms, I am at peace. Ava is welcoming and by the end of our visit, felt like a friend. The rooms are as advertised. They are clean. And did I mention my own lanai (deck).

Yelp
I had a wonderful experience at this BnB. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated with tile throughout, and the bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was basic stuff, like fruit, cereal, yogurt, toast, eggs and sweets served on a large patio deck with an ocean view. The host Eva & her husband are very friendly, and know all the ins and outs of the island. Got some great advice for where to find better less touristy beaches or locals only restaurants. Even though it was a short visit, I would 100% stay here again and recommend it for anyone who doesn't want to stay at a hotel.

Kari A.

Yelp
This place is absolutely amazing and Eva made our stay perfect. We stayed in the palm suite and it was very roomy. It had everything we needed. The AC worked great! Breakfast every morning on the balcony was beautiful. This really saved us money and made us more social. The patio is accessible 24 hrs. Eva is easy to chat with. She even let us hang out on the the patio the last day to kill time before going to the airport.
google avatar

Yelp
This is THE place to stay if you're looking for a place that's relaxing, well run by the owners and well located for all the must see parts of Maui. The facility is in great shape. This has now become a regular destination for us!
google avatar

Yelp
Up out of way from tourists with beautiful view of flowers. I was placed on bottom floor on side with private entrance, room was very nice, comfy, and updated. Full kitchen with free snacks and bottle waters. Had option of using beach chairs, boards for beach, making fresh popcorn, or use of grill, DVDs to view, and snacks & coffee upstairs all day. Owners were super nice and accommodating for early check in and later check out. Couch pulled out into a comfortable sleeper sofa, and floor ac in room for hot nights. Have always wanted to stay at a bed & breakfast and experience the hospitality of comfort and friendliness. Ask for a kamaiana and cash discount for an extra saving. Mahalo!

Yelp
Our experience in January 2018 was split. The host, Eva, was wonderful and welcoming. I loved the balcony room to enjoy the view and drink coffee. However, I am somewhat sensitive to odors and they had apparently been using a laundry fragrance boost to (apparently) cover the mildew smell on the towels. Honestly I am very surprised that other guests do not write of this smell in their reviews - it was a pretty strong and offensive smell. Then we found deodorizing canisters tucked all over the apartment, to add to the smell, and prove that they were trying to cover up a bad odor. Also, we saw a child staying there touch all of the fruit, then return them to the basket without washing them. We really decided not to eat there after the first couple days. I actually got sick, as were a couple other guests. Not sure of cause and effect, but we eventually left and spent the last few days at a condo in Kihei, which was wonderful. One day after leaving there, I started to feel better. Unfortunately we got no refund for leaving early.

Yelp
AWESOME!! Eva is an amazing cook and will totally help you figure out what you want to do on the island. Their home is beautiful. I think the bed in the garden suite is probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. The hubby and I did not want to leave!! They have all kinds of beach things for you to borrow and always ready for a good chat!!

Yelp
WOW! That is all I can say about the best bed and breakfast in all of Maui!! Simply amazing time. My wife and I had a wonderful time. Eva was a fantastic, friendly hostess who took time to talk with us and really made us feel at home. We were both very impressed with the cleanliness of the entire house, great breakfast, and spirit of aloha here. Our room was immaculately clean, all modern fixtures, and a big comfy bed!! We plan on coming back next year and were going directly to What a Wonderful World Bed and Breakfast!!
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful bed and breakfast! Though my husband and I only stayed here for one night we loved it. Eva made an amazing breakfast and sat with us and made us feel like we were right at home and had been friends for years. We loved her three Cavaliers and now want one of our own. There are always beach towels, chairs, boogie boards, blankets to take to Haleakala to watch the sunrise. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the bed was amazingly comfortable. We loved it and would definitely go back!

Yelp
We made a last minute reservation at What A Wonderful World and we are glad we did. We stayed in the Mango Room (I think?) and we were very impressed. The room was clean upon our arrival and bath and swim towels were laid out for us to use. The room felt very cozy- no tacky decorations or smelly furniture that I've found at other B&Bs. There was a personal swamp cooler to keep us cool, and we had a lovely porch area outside for us to hang out. The private bathroom was tidy and clean as well and had a beautiful shower and sink. Eva was sooo friendly. We felt very comfortable as her guest. She made every effort to make sure we were happy, including letting us use her laundry machines. Her knowledge of the island helped us make the most of our time on Maui. We will be staying there again when we return (soon, I can dream).

Yelp
The name says it all!!! The moment you arrive in front of the house you know you picked the right place. Nothing but green plants everywhere to make you really feel like you're in a different world. And the rooms! From the moment you walk in, you instantly feel at home! Everything provided inside, towels, shampoo, body wash, the most comfortable bed ever! This place really has it all. And for the breakfast part, fresh fruits cut right in front of you, pastries, fresh hot coffee and a beautiful beautiful balcony with ocean view. Makes it really hard to get up and leave. The host are unbelievably friendly and welcoming and most of all, genuine!!! We would stay here again in a heart beat!

Yelp
My experiences at WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD, bed and breakfast in Maui, Hawaii Aloha, I am taking my time to do this because people need to know about this place. I landed Maui on 3/19/18 at 7am. Got my car rental and I decided to go straight to this place, even though I was aware my checking time was after 2 pm. I was tired and I did not want to go anywhere before I took a short nap. I was greeted by Eva, the owner with a big hug and I was taken straight to the dining area. The view was spectacular from the dinning area. I will no take much time to speak about the looks of the place because as everywhere in Maui, this was magical and had everything you needed to live there like your own home. Eva fulfilled my every need from borrowing beach towels, a postcard stamp or just giving advices about best ways to use my time while in Maui.It was important for me to be in a place that was PEACEFUL. I felt right away I was at HOME with family. The price to me was amazing for everything that was included... from having breakfast, fruits/snacks available throughout the day, having access to the laundry and a Eva's support when needed. I definitely plan to go back again!

Windy F.

Yelp
We made this booking last minute as we needed a place to stay on our last night in Maui. Found this great bed and breakfast. The room was clean and spacious, and the neighborhood was lovely, only a couple minutes away from the beach. We enjoyed a free continental breakfast. After checkout, we decided to go to the beach, and Eva offered us a place to shower before we left for our flight. We recommend this place.

R W.

Yelp
Had a really fantastic stay here with my husband! I booked the Mango room, which was a perfect vacation apartment with a full kitchen. I really love having a full kitchen in Maui because a) I love cooking and exploring local produce and b) going out can get expensive and the food scene here isn't stellar. The apartment was well-thought out and very comfortable, quiet, and relaxing. And much cuter than a tired old vacation rental! Breakfast was fun on the gorgeous deck. We enjoyed hanging out with Eva and the other guests. (and two hilarious snoring dogs) Don't hesitate to book this stellar BnB!

Claudia S.

Yelp
THANK YOU EVA & JIM! You are the greatest hosts! We married on Maui and I asked Eva 2 weeks before the wedding if she can give us some recommendations. She said she can assist us and did some phone calls. I was stunned! We had a wonderful wedding and stayed in the most wonderful B&B! Honestly, the rooms are personal, the breakfast is healthy and served on the balcony with great tropical views - but the best are the two - they enjoy to be around people and assist that guests have an outstanding visit on the island! Hope that we will be back soon!!!

Yelp
Love it. Love it. Love it. What a wonderful B&B! Rooms are tastefully decorated and clean. Breakfast is of the extended continental kind: fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal, juice, bread, cold cuts/ cheese, eggs. The host, Eva, is wonderful, welcoming and full of helpful info. This was my 2nd stay; if I come back to Maui, this will be my 1st choice.

Camila D.

Yelp
We stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time! The room was very comfortable and clean, with a little garden for us. They also have beach towels. The breakfast was really good and complete!!. The location is good, near by car to many restaurantes and to the beach. The owner, Eva, helps us with some travel advises and told us many things about the island. It is a good place to have a relax vacation. I will definitly choose it again!

Laura L.

Yelp
This B&B is everything you're looking for in a dreamy Maui vacation. If you want a beautiful, relaxing and budget friendly experience look no further! This is the place for you. We absolutely loved staying here!

Heather B.

Yelp
Love this place...Love Eva! Total hidden gem...initially dissuaded as we drove into a suburban neighborhood...however, as soon as you enter the gates, you enter a fabulous little hideaway with wonderful ambiance. Eva sent us on our way for the rest of our trip with local knowledge of what to do & where to go. Would love to return someday!

Yelp
We have become regular guests at this absolutely charming B&B! What makes this B&B extra special are the hosts, Eva and Jimmy, who are inviting, friendly and a wealth of information about the island! Mornings on the covered lanai are wonderful when you can sit and have your breakfast while chatting with the hosts and other guests. Eva is always willing to help you plan your day, make suggestions for things to do (no matter what the weather is), and point you to the best beaches, restaurants or points of interest. The rooms are beautifully decorated with lots of personal 'Hawaiian' touches to make you feel like you're on holiday (unlike renting a condo) and well-equipped with basic kitchen amenities, small fridge and microwave. Everything you need for a stay in Maui is available, from beach towels, chairs and guide books to coolers and body boards! Guests have access to a washer/dryer, extra linens and a bbq in the lush garden patio area. Location is great (Kihei), and while not right on the beach...access to the entire island (upcountry or by oceanfront) is very easy. It's also very nice to come 'home' to somewhere quiet and not in be the hub of tourists after a full day of adventure.

Yelp
My wife and I spent 3 days and two nights here. It was a great room, and great experience overall. Eva and Jim were great hosts, and made this place a joy to stay at. We ended up staying here because they allowed our Australian Shepherd, and now this will be a first place we try and get every time we come to Maui, with or without our puppy!

Yelp
We just spent 4 nights here and were very happy with our stay. Eva is cheerful and attentive and our room was very comfy. I really enjoyed breakfast each morning, talking to Eva and the other guests. When we return to Maui in the future, we won't hesitate to stay here again. (Kihei is definitely a better place to stay than Lahaina. Lahaina is way too touristy and commercial with chain stores and restaurants. Kihei has more/better beaches - IMO - and has a nice local, neighborly feel.)

Yelp
We stayed a the What a Wonderful World Bed and Breakfast a little over a week ago. We stayed at four different places on Maui during our trip, and this was by far our favorite. Eva, the owner, was so friendly and welcoming, she was a terrific host. She gave us great advice on things to do and where to eat. She also had sunblock, beach chairs, beach towels, a cooler, washer and dryer (to use for free), and DVDs (also to use for free). We stayed in the Guava suite, which was beautiful. It had a large, mounted flat screen tv, free wifi, air conditioning, newly remodeled bathroom, very comfortable bed, mid-sized fridge, microwave, toaster oven, and a seating area with a couple of chairs. The breakfast lanai had a nice view of the ocean, and we spent an evening sitting out there drinking, reading, and chatting with Eva. Breakfast itself was as described on the website as a "sumptuous continental breakfast" which included bagels, english muffins, fresh fruit (papaya, pineapple, blueberries, etc), cereal, granola, scones, hard-boiled eggs, bread, coffee, and juice. Overall, we highly enjoyed our stay here, would stay here again, and would recommend it to anybody!

Yelp
This is an easy review for me! We stayed here 11years ago and when planning our trip back we knew where we were going to stay again! Eva has thought of everything you could possibly need for your vacation. Eva makes you feel very welcome. Rooms are all very spacious. The only downside was that Eva can no longer make the special French toast and waffles she did 11years ago because of some new government regulations! Already planning next trip back! This is the place where you should stay!

Yelp
This place is home away from home! It's great, I highly recommend it! Our room had a spacious bathroom, kitchen, living room, & comfortable bedroom. There's only four rooms so it's great because it means there's less noise. It's in a great neighborhood & super close to the beach. Just an awesome place!!

Yelp
This B&B is perfect if you're looking for a more low key option in the South part of Maui! It's location is perfectly situated to see all the amazing beaches in the area and makes for a perfect hub to go snorkeling and diving. Eva and Jim were very kind hosts! The room was very spacious, albeit a bit dark, but otherwise very lovely. The breakfast patio was a wonderful space to eat and plan our days.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for only one night on our honeymoon, and really regretted not staying here longer. Eva and Jim were great hosts who were truly hospitable and the space was beautiful. Even though we only stayed one night, Eva offered us to call her anytime to ask any questions about Maui, and they really do follow thru with all the little details that make you feel truly invited and taken care of in their space, like having q-tips and cotton swabs on stock in the bathroom, or having beach towels you can use while you stay there. And breakfast with Eva was delightful and yummy. You can't help but love staying with them!

Yelp
We came to Maui for the second time this year to attend a friends' wedding and thought about trying a B&B for the first time and were quite impressed with Maui What a Wonderful World B& B. The property is surrounded by tropical plants and gave us a true sense of living on a tropical island. We chose the Guava suite, which is tucked away within the tropical plants and provided lots of privacy. The suite was updated with a modern bathroom and included a fan and AC as needed. Eva offered a wonderful hospitality from providing morning breakfast filled with fresh fruit, eggs, cream cheese, bagels, croissants, cereals, etc to tips on getting around Maui. We enjoyed Eva's company and the many interesting stories she shared with us over the serene view from her Lanai . No doubt we would book again during our next stay at Maui.

Yelp
The photos on their website are true to the property. Our room, the Guava Suite, was exactly what I expected and what we needed, we were always comfortable. What the website doesn't show is what a WONDERFUL host EVA is! We loved her bubbly personality and she was so helpful with any question we had about the island sites, restaurants or tours. We also enjoyed starting each day by visiting with other guests at breakfast -- there were fascinating people from all over the world, many of whom are repeat guests! We also liked that it was located in a residential area, but so close to main attractions. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. It was a great value!
