We came here for our brunch, so mainly to eat, not to drink. It turned out to be a Parisian version of Starbucks focused on Matcha and cold drinks. It wasn’t our objective, so cannot comment on that.
The decoration is very beautiful. This is what attracts the most. Long queues also suggest a sought after joint. Once inside, the music is American oldie but can get over-loud.
As for the food:
Waffle: chewy, overdosed on sugar. Obviously made for sugar-craving clientele. Not for us. Far from the normal waffles we can get at other places, and even those at the train stations (I recommend waffles at St Lazare).
tartine beurre confiture is nice but small, not the traditional French baguette, rather a burger shape bun, overpriced.
Tuna melt is normal, in a burger bun. The idea of a tuna burger bun with pickle and avocado is nice, the taste is good, but not special, so again, very overpriced.
Orange juice for the kids, 3/4 ice 1/4 orange juice. Ultra overpriced for a cup of ice with a hint of orange juice.
Looking at the whole setup and the English/American oriented service, it might be a tourist trap or just for matcha and cold coffee lovers. So it wasn’t for us unfortunately.
We tried it once. We will never come back.
But again, we came for food. Not for the drinks.
