Visiting the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and the Hassan Tower was a truly memorable experience. The grounds are impeccably clean, with beautifully trimmed gardens and a serene, calm atmosphere—perfect for taking in the history and architecture. The mausoleum, built between 1961 and 1971 by King Hassan II to honor his father, King Mohammed V, was designed by Vietnamese architect Cong Vo Toan, who blended traditional Moroccan craftsmanship with modern techniques. The Hassan Tower, an unfinished 12th-century minaret, adds historical depth and contrast. Entrance is free, and the guards in traditional uniforms add a touch of charm and dignity. We visited on a sunny mid-January day, with very few tourists around, which made the experience even more peaceful. This is a must-visit in Rabat for anyone who loves history, beauty, and a tranquil atmosphere.
