Maverick Budapest Soho

Absolutely the best choice we could have made for our trip to Budapest. The hostel is located right in the middle of this beautiful city and provides everything a traveller could need. Amazing value for the location and the staff are incredible. Special thanks to Mimi for helping us throughout our stay. She is absolutely wonderful! Next time we are in Budapest, this will be where we stay without doubt!

Stayed here with a 20-people group. Everything was above standards for this kind of accommodation. The hostel is very well located. The rooms were well maintained. Double room was very big and comfortable. The staff were really nice and helpful. The breakfast was very rich and diverse, special point to the fresh juices 😋

Everything was perfect. Clean, quiet, great location, kitchen was very clean and had everything you need. The female dorms had very nice bathrooms and extremely comfy beds with surrounding curtains. Not a party hostel but still organise optional social events. Free towels at reception that were extremely soft and smelt lovely. Staff were very nice. Great value for money.

Excellent hostel, one of my best experiences! I stayed in a private room since I was in Budapest for work. Great hostel for work and for socialising. The location is perfect, but the best is the amazing crew!!! everybody receives you with a smile, and they are super helpful in any question from logistics to manage around the city, recommendations to discover its jewels, to efficiency in solving technical problems. Chapeau! Special thanks to Yas and Honey for your kindness, generosity, big smile and sharing fun conversations in Spanish!!! I will come back to Budapest and Maverick Soho will be my first choice!!! 🙏🙏🙏

The hostel is very nice. It has trained and polite staff. It has breakfast service, laundry. It has a full kitchen, and it is very clean. There are separate male and female toilets, and each is very clean. It has good access to the metro and city attractions. Public spaces such as the lobby and hallways are very clean and very tastefully painted. It has a room to store luggage. Overall, if you are a backpacker, I recommend this hostel.

This is a really nice hostel. It is big and the lobby and kitchen are fully equipped and comfortable. The area is perfect for people who want to go out and experience that side of Budapest. It is alive. It is right next to restaurants, bars, vintage shops, cafes. I went to the cafes and to a store. It is also a very historic part of town.. The room was so nice. Tall ceilings above beds, in shared rooms. Large bathrooms. So clean. Thank you.

As a young female traveler, I was a bit nervous about staying in a hostel by myself. I stayed in the all-female dorm for only one night because of this, but it was amazing. The lockers are nice and big, and the curtains and well thought out room setup give a surprising amount of privacy. The bed itself was larger than I expected, with room to keep stuff next to you. Even with the curtains all closed, it didn’t feel small. Everyone I met was really nice, including the staff. Only negative is that the charging port was super slow - I had my phone plugged in all night and it wasn’t at 100% in the morning. My portable charger didn’t get enough time to charge at all because I had to prioritize my phone. |Overall though, my roommates and I agreed that this was one of the nicest hostels we’ve stayed in. I’d just recommend bringing a portable charger as a backup option, and maybe a padlock for the locker.

This was alright, but the staff could do better and be friendlier and more helpful. They don't even say hi when you walk in. And filling out an enormous for on an iPad thing when you get there is really really annoying where you have to tell them your entire life story. The location is in a crazy party part of town, so if you're into that, I guess this is for you. the soap dispenser didn't work in my bathroom so that was fun.
