I loved my experience at Max Brown. Came for a friends wedding, first time in Vienna. The vibe is super nice and friendly, you can feel it’s a quality stay straight on. Staff was dedicated and helpful. The room was very nice, with everything I needed, well decorated. I wrote before coming to make sure there was an hairdryer, iron, and gym and got a response very fast. I thought it was ideal for a solo trip, also as the area was so nice and felt very safe. I would very much recommend my friends to go to this hotel if ever in Vienna, and would definitely come back myself. Price and quality were above expectations!

It's an exceptionally nice place: cozy rooms with good design (so calming colors), comfortable beds, air conditioning and... a sauna on the top floor. In addition, a great location - close to the Museum Quarter, and at the same time far enough away from it to feel the local homeliness with lots of nice restaurants and bars (it's worth checking out the outbuildings and courtyards). Not to mention helpful hotel team and a chance to use nearby hotel parking (23 euro a day). We really enjoyed this place :)

Me and my boyfriend had a great experience staying at Max Brown. Check in was fast and easy, a big plus was that I got access to the room around lunchtime already. My boyfriend arrived late at night due to a flight delay and tried to inform the reception about his arrival (he was the main person in the booking) but the man at the front desk did not speak any English and the whole situation turned out a bit strange for him since they did not understand each other. The room was over all clean, the tables/shelf’s were a bit dusty. We really enjoyed the bar and common areas of the hotel. Location was perfect, main attractions of the city are in walking/public transportation distance.

I stayed at this hotel recently, and overall my experience was good - I really liked the hotel itself and the concept. Unfortunately, I had an unpleasant situation that completely ruined my sense of safety and trust. During my stay, I encountered extremely rude behavior from one of the front desk staff. After leaving, I sent a detailed email to the hotel to share my feedback. Very soon after that, I started receiving offensive and harassing messages to my personal email from an unknown address. I understand that there is no direct technical proof that this employee was behind these emails, but considering the rudeness I had already experienced and the timing, I personally have no doubt who is responsible. This makes me feel that the hotel does not protect guests’ personal data properly - because a staff member can apparently take your email address, if they don’t like your feedback, and use it to send you hateful messages and harass you privately. This is extremely disappointing and unsettling. I used to love this hotel brand and its atmosphere, but now I feel completely unsafe knowing that my personal information could be misused like this by the staff. I really hope the hotel management will take this seriously, investigate properly, and make sure no other guest ever has to feel the same way.

We stayed overnight and really enjoyed it! Everyone was very helpful and nice (especially young lady on reception) room clean and bar closing at midnight so we had time to get a few drinks after our long Vienna trip. Definitely would recommend this place!✋

We enjoyed our stay at Max Brown. There was a nearby train station that was about a 5 minute walk, so that was convenient for us to hop on and off to get into the city. The bed was comfortable, but it would be nice if they had a vent in the bathroom to help dehumidify after a hot shower. Also, adding an outlet near the large mirror would be useful to blow dry or straighten hair. Otherwise, service was wonderful and the bartenders at the hotel bar are kind and make good drinks.

A well located hotel, with excellent, helpful, professional staff, with special mention to Andrea on reception and bar staff. Beds very comfortable, rooms clean and tidy. Nice to be in a hotel where local activities such as the weekly dance club take place with hotel guests welcome to join in. An hotel with a difference which I happily recommend and would use again.

We’ve just arrived home after a gorgeous trip to Austria. However the hotel. It’s really not how it seems in the pictures, it’s clean and tidy but the rooms are not an accurate representation. Also, we chose this hotel because it was advertised with Air conditioning which was essential due to a medical condition and was the reason we chose this hotel over others. When we arrived first thing we checked was the temp of the room and tried to turn on the AC to get it down at it was 23 degrees and we needed it to be 5 degrees. Nothing worked, went to the front desk to be told that there’s no air conditioning in these months which was bizarre to to me because the entire week we were there the temperature was 21-25 degrees daily. We asked for a portable fan and were told that there’s are only 2 fans in the whole building and they are being used by others. We asked for 3 days in a row if the air conditioning could be solved and were given different stories everytime. The morning lady on the front desk was very sweet and sympathetic to our issue and she did try to help but the other staff were rude and abrasive and honestly could have cared less. The result of this over heating as mentioned before due to a medical condition that involved the skin we ended up having to seek medical help from a pharmacy/Dr to get some sort of medicine that could help contain what’s was happening. Even showed the lady at the front desk one of the skin effects from the rapid heat to show it was serious but again no fan was presented. Thankful to be home so we can get the issue sorted medically speaking but just disappointed that we took all the steps necessary to ensure we were covered for our trip and then for the hotel to just say there’s no air conditioning in these months and then another story was that the building is old so the air con doesn’t always work. No idea what the truth was but it meant 6 very uncomfortable nights which have resulted in skin breaking open, wounds forming, of course bleeding from these wounds and generally very uncomfortable for the skin. Which impacted the entire holiday. The bus stops are great, very close by and easy to get on and get off where you need to.
