Max Brown 7th District hotel | Vienna | Smith Hotels

"Max Brown 7th District, part of Sircle Collection, in Neubau – Vienna’s hippest ‘hood – doesn’t just do the simple things well, it absolutely nails them. Officially, the focus is on four essential ‘pillars’ – bread (it’s delivered fresh every morning from the local bakery), coffee (naturally, in the coffee-house capital of Europe), bed (oh, just you wait…) and location (this is where the cool kids hang out). But there’s a whole lot more, too. Israeli chef Eyal Shani’s cooks up cauliflower and kebabs in Seven North’s open kitchen and there’s a cocktail bar overlooking street art on the terrace. In your home-from-home room, you’ll find mid-century design mixed with potted-plant life, avant garde art and a Crosley record player." - Mr & Mrs Smith

Max Brown 7th District (Vienna, Austria) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"In an age when many luxury hotels offer a mind-boggling range of services and amenities, it’s refreshing to encounter one with a less-is-more approach. Max Brown 7th District is a boutique hotel with clearly stated priorities: ultra-comfortable beds, excellent coffee, great music, and a killer location in Vienna’s stylish and central Neubau neighborhood. Nail the basics, they suggest, and no one will miss overpriced minibars or round-the-clock room service." - Tablet Hotels

Cool, clean, beautifully designed and fantastic location (if you wanna be in Neubau, relatively close to Mariahilf and Josefstadt too). Fresh bread and a variety of tasty cheese and charcuterie for breakfast. Only downsides: no hot water one day. Cleaning every 2 days (which is fine) but housekeeping didn’t change the sheets even though they were stained. Overall great experience.

Lovely little hotel with fun, quirky design. The location was great - close to multiple tram and bus lines, in walking distance from Mariahilfer str., and in a fun neighborhood. The room was beautifully designed and spacious, and the bed was great. Breakfast was a bit expensive, but the buffet spread provided many many options to choose from.

I love the Hotel. It's a great location if you want to get a good nights sleep after a concert in the Vienna Stadthalle. The beds are some of the best I had in a Hotel. Slept incredibly well. The Rooms are nice, and good a good style. Only nitpick is that the record players in the room are not the best. They look great, but don't expect to be jamming a lot of tunes on them. It's also located above a great Restaurant. So .... enjoy a nice Hotel, with friendly staff and great beds. That's what counts!

The Hotel was well located, easy access with bolt and uber…10 minutes to district one where all the walking tours start plus where most of the historic area is located. The breakfast was first class, the restaurant manager was hands on. Juice bar lots of variety of food too. The local music ensembles are incredible one being the Mozart House. The staff at the hotel super friendly and accommodating, “Pamela” helped with a surprise birthday for my wife and ordered flowers and arranged a special dessert with chocolate brownies, roses and fruits… exceptional!!!!!!!!

We had a very nice experience at this hotel. We did a modestly priced upgrade for the "large room" and by European standards it was quite large. The restaurant was delicious and they give your a fair discount for staying there. It's a bit of a hipster vibe if that's your thing. Location is fine if you don't mind walking-lots of cute bars, shopping, local restaurants etc.

We were really looking forward to this stay but the hotel failed to meet our expectations for what we paid. Poor enough service/ value for money- took an age to check in with only one person on and it was painfully slow. Frustrating that he then prioritised sorting other another customer out (who arrived after us) before dealing with us who were patiently waiting. Key cards were also unavailable and we had to ask for our room to be opened by a member of staff until they got it sorted the following day. The heating was ramped up in our bedroom and even though we asked re how to control it, he didn't know and his answer was just to open the window and turn off the a/c. A cold shower on our last morning before checking out topped it off. Won't be returning to this hotel.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel which was about 5min away from the city centre by car. We booked this trip to celebrate my husband’s and brother’s birthday and they upgraded us for free and left us a sweet note and complimentary biscuits. The service is amazing and it was a lively hotel. The breakfast was great! Would recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel is great, super friendly staff at the reception, the breakfast was excellent. Only downside was the room, upon the arrival it was extremely cold in the room and AC was at maximum. We turned it off and went out for 5hrs and upon coming back it was still freezing cold. We tried to put the heating but it didn't work. The small turntable was a nice detail but too bad it was broken. It is a great value for money but if you book the Large room make sure to avoid room number 022.

Yelp
Never recommending it again . My grandson's Bose earphones were missing when he packed up to check out. We spoke to the front desk and I phoned and spoke to an assistant mgr. Was told you to write an email. Never heard back. Not even an acknowledgement of receipt of the email. THIS BEHAVIOR IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Appalling .

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during a two week Europe trip. It was perfect. Where do I begin? The location is in the Neubau area. Close to public transportation and very walkable to various restaurants. It's a ten minute walk from the West Bahnhof (train station) which took us to Melk for a day trip. Super convenient. The hotel itself was so hip, beautifully designed and well thought out. The interior design really showed that it was built to create an engaging and interactive environment. The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. There was even a basketball hoop and record player. The bathroom was also spacious (a welcome change from the hotel we stayed at in another city). The AC was very powerful (a unique thing in Europe) and the bathtub was awesome. The breakfast (not free) was amazing! The hotel has a pretty high end restaurant attached to it and in the mornings the Viennese breakfast spread hit the spot. The front desk concierge was friendly and knowledgeable. When we arrived, they greeted us with such a welcoming attitude and had a welcome kit for us which included suggestions for things to do and places to eat. The only bad thing was this group of idiots in our hall that kept slamming their doors. But really the bad thing is that there are only 4 Max Brown hotels and none were in Paris which is where we were headed to next...

Yelp
A great affordable place to stay when visiting Vienna. The manager was absolutely professional and very friendly. He greeted us with a warm welcome and even sent a dog care package to our room. Our two little ones loved the food and bed. The hotel is in a really convenient location with two grocery stores a block or less away. The staff was always knowledgeable and helpful. We will absolutely come and stay here again. Thank you.
