Max Brown Hotel 7th District

Gave four stars as the hotel is such good value for money and there’s a lot to like; extra large room really is extra large, very comfy bed, great bathroom, excellent breakfast included, funky, quirky industrial vibe. . But there also a a few things not to like at all, and if it wasn’t for the price (cheap for Vienna) i would have given it 3 stars .|Here’s what’s not to like;|-Lack of servicing of rooms; meant to be alternate days (why not every day?) and had to chase to get our room serviced and fresh towels on second day|-servicing of room was quite basic; dirty glasses were not washed or cleared up|-the in house restaurant is apparently separately owned and was closed 2 nights out of the 3 that we were there…as was the bar!|-It’s a long way out of town which we didn’t mind but worth noting; a good half hour walk although there is a bus service a 5 min walk away|Would personally not return but still think it was good value for money

This was my third stay with Max Brown. Whilst the rooms are for sure very nice and the lodging is affordable, it is the brilliant staff that keep me coming back. They are enthusiastic, receptive, and nothing is a problem. This visit I came with my dog, and their treatment towards him was next level, even looking after him for a few hours every day when I went out to run some errands, and this gave me peace of mind. I have no complaints, and it will remain my go to every time I visit the magical city.

I’ve had a wonderful experience staying at Max Brown Hotel. The staff is nice and the vibe and experience are so fun. The room is clean and practical also nice interior. I’ll come back again!

I absolutely love this hotel! It’s the perfect stay. A design hotel that has so many thoughtful and fun aspects. Spacious and warm and friendly. My room was SO CUTE! A record player with a few records and retro style that reminded me of childhood while still being so fresh and sleek. The food was AMAZING I wish I could have tried everything on the menu and breakfast is perfect. The staff was so kind and made you feel at home. Close to all the tourist spots yet nestled in the best neighborhood in Vienna so you have tons of cute restaurants, cafes and shops. Staying here will make your trip to Vienna 100x better. Can’t wait to go back!!

Wonderful experience! The staff warmly welcomed us and assisted us throughout our stay. The room was cozy, and the bathroom was quite spacious. The rooms were clean and well-designed. Breakfast offered a variety of options. I would happily book again.

The bar prices were higher than I had imagined - especially the whisky, where I was not informed of any price before ordering. However, I didn't ask so that was my fault. It was nice to have a record player in the room,; however, the volume control was not loud enough for me to be able to hear properly. I appreciate that the rooms may not be sound proofed but it would have been nice to listen without having to strain. The staff were incredibly helpful, from recommending restaurants to eat, getting the chef to cook extra croissants at breakfast, specially for me, to allowing me a late check out with no charge because I was feeling unwell. I would definitely stay again.

Very nice hotel that is a big improvement on the standard simplistic city centre hotels you get accustomed to. The rooms are a bit quirky but that's by intent. Breakfasts are especially decent. Nicely positioned for access to the city's fantastic public transport services.

This hotel is all style and no substance. The IT system was down and we had no room key during our stay.. We had to be walked to our room every time we wanted in. Staff guaranteed us it would be fixed the next day. It was never fixed over our two night stay. On top of this our room stank of smoke. When bringing this up to staff they offered to “spray something” since the technician was out for the day. The staff was friendly and helpful but having to wait 10+ minutes to be let into my room is unacceptable. I would have expected a discount or free breakfast but nothing. I do not recommend staying at this or other Max Brown hotels based on how they do business.

Never recommending it again . My grandson's Bose earphones were missing when he packed up to check out. We spoke to the front desk and I phoned and spoke to an assistant mgr. Was told you to write an email. Never heard back. Not even an acknowledgement of receipt of the email. THIS BEHAVIOR IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Appalling .

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights during a two week Europe trip. It was perfect. Where do I begin? The location is in the Neubau area. Close to public transportation and very walkable to various restaurants. It's a ten minute walk from the West Bahnhof (train station) which took us to Melk for a day trip. Super convenient. The hotel itself was so hip, beautifully designed and well thought out. The interior design really showed that it was built to create an engaging and interactive environment. The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. There was even a basketball hoop and record player. The bathroom was also spacious (a welcome change from the hotel we stayed at in another city). The AC was very powerful (a unique thing in Europe) and the bathtub was awesome. The breakfast (not free) was amazing! The hotel has a pretty high end restaurant attached to it and in the mornings the Viennese breakfast spread hit the spot. The front desk concierge was friendly and knowledgeable. When we arrived, they greeted us with such a welcoming attitude and had a welcome kit for us which included suggestions for things to do and places to eat. The only bad thing was this group of idiots in our hall that kept slamming their doors. But really the bad thing is that there are only 4 Max Brown hotels and none were in Paris which is where we were headed to next...

A great affordable place to stay when visiting Vienna. The manager was absolutely professional and very friendly. He greeted us with a warm welcome and even sent a dog care package to our room. Our two little ones loved the food and bed. The hotel is in a really convenient location with two grocery stores a block or less away. The staff was always knowledgeable and helpful. We will absolutely come and stay here again. Thank you.
