We loved the location of the hotel, the size of the room and the decor. There could be more shelving and a mini-bar, but the restaurant below supplies everything. The water pressure in the shower was great, but we only had cold water one of the days, which was fixed by the end of the day. The shower head itself could do with an exchange, as it was spraying water from the handle. The staff in the hotel was super friendly and accomodating and the breakfast in Benedict amazing. We would come again.

There's no denying that the room looked nice, but that's about where the positivity about our stay ends. It is patently obvious that the owners of the hotel have prioritised having 'Instagrammable' rooms over and above having rooms that actually function as decent hotel rooms. The litany of problems was as follows: The latch on the shutters had been so poorly installed that it was impossible to properly close them. The shower cubicle was TINY; a small quarter of a circle in the corner of the bathroom. Furthermore, the shower was of an outdated 'two tap' model, which required endless finessing in order to avoid a shower that was either scaldinly hot, or ice cold. The shower was also far too powerful for the basic shower curtain, often leading to flooding of the bathroom. On our final morning at the hotel, the hot water failed completely, leaving us consigned to freezing cold showers before a long day's travelling. Talking of hot, the room was stifingly hot - and this was in April, with outside temperatures of about 18c. We are so glad that we didn't stay in summer! There is no air-conditioning at the hotel and, being on a somewhat noisy street, it was not practical to leave the bedroom window open overnight. In-room facilities were almost non-existent; a couple of black tea bags and that was it. For the price paid we would have expected the usual range of hot drinks, as well as basic bathroom essentials. All-in-all, whilst the place looked nice, it was not suitable as a hotel. We wished we'd paid a similar price and stayed at the Premier Inn just down the road.

Quant hotel. Got a bit lost for the entrance/check in desk as not your normal hotel lobby. Go in through the main door which you first think is a cafe which it partly is but reception over to the left. Rooms lovely, bed comfortable. Slight downside, walls are thin, we could hear our next door neighbours full conversation, room staff didn't replenish our water on day 1 but did day 2. Other than that reception staff are friendly and helpful. Had breakfast (not included) downstairs every morning as it was fab and why walk elsewhere.

The hotel, the service and the room were all amazing. Also, there is a bus station in front of the hotel, and a metro station a few minutes from the hotel. Also, the breakfast was delicious, but a little expensive. Also, keep in mind that you may have to pay the Germany's taxes (17€) when you arrive at the hotel, because not all the websites have them included in the price. Generally, an amazing experience. I totally recommend it!

The coziest bed I’ve ever slept in!! Such a stunning hotel with the friendliest staff!! All so kind and helpful! Would definitely be back. Only thing is the waiting area/lobby is actually a restaurant so if it’s cold outside and you need to wait for a cab etc it‘s a bit jebdosnfjf.

The vibe and location of the hotel were perfect, as was our room. The restaurant downstairs is fantastic, too.||The only small note from me is that the soundproofing between our room and the one next door wasn’t great: we were woken a couple of times by the sounds of a passionate romance being consummated! My partner adds that a full-length mirror and fluffier towels would be additions worth considering.||That said, we had a great stay and would visit the Max Brown Hotel Ku’damm again in a heartbeat. Many thanks!

My stay was excellent! From the efficient staff who greeted us warmly upon arrival at the hotel, to the hotel's highly popular Benedict breakfast restaurant and bar, and the super comfy bed and room that suited all my personal tastes snd needs. ||Special thanks to our Mixologist who served up a range of scrumptious cocktails with great skill, style and enthusiasm for my friend and I throughout our stay. The food is also great, especially the blueberry pancakes!||I shall indeed be back!

We had room 319 and stayed from 28 Feb thru 7 Mar 2025. There was no wifi until day 5. The bathroom had a mouldy smell. We felt that at no point had that been considered a concern or triggered any meaningful action. The hotel lobby lacks space where one could work or congregate. The restaurant downstairs does not belong to the hotel and is often very crowded especially for breakfast and lunch. We felt we totally overpaid.

Yelp
4.5 stars! I like this hotel! It's so convenient, well run with wonderful staff and just steps away from public transportation (you can take bus #249 and connect to other public transportation system including RB23 to and from Berlin Airport at Berlin Zoo station). The hotel has a good, retro feel and I love the hot showers there! Staff had been very nice, polite and simply helpful and because of the popular Benedict breakfast restaurant inside this hotel that opens in the morning and runs into late at night, the hotel feels very safe to me. The next time I'm in Berlin, I would definitely try to stay at this place again. Some rooms may be on a smaller side (and priced accordingly on a more budget side), but they do have much larger rooms, too! The shampoo, soap and lotion smell so nice and very aromatherapeutic! It's so relaxing being here at this hotel. Overall, I love it and it will be the hotel I look at first the next time I am in Berlin again!

Yelp
I had several options for a hotel to stay at, and I'm so glad I chose this one. The hotel was conveniently located near metro stations, bus stops, and lovely places for coffee and brunch. The staff was super friendly and was able to answer all my questions, and they even gave me a handy map and a list of local events and sights to check out during my stay. The room was comfortable, and I had some of the best sleep I've had in ages on the super-comfortable bed too. I genuinely can't think of anything negative to say about this hotel. My only regret is not checking out the Benedict restaurant on the ground floor -- it looked busy, and the diners always looked very satisfied with their food, so that's something I'll have to check out next time I'm staying here. One thing to mention: if you're travelling for work, ask the staff to put you in a room with enough power sockets. Unfortunately, I could use only one power socket by the table, while the remaining two were pretty far from the office table (there's one socket per each side of the bed, which is helpful if you need to charge your phone or other devices). While this meant that I wasn't able to work in the comfort of my room, I'd recommend checking out the local coffee shops (make sure you go on a day you can use a computer, as a lot of Berlin coffeeshops have a "no laptop" policy on Saturdays and Sundays). That aside, this hotel is excellent, and I guarantee you'll have a tremendous 5-star experience here that'll make you want to come back -- I know I will!

Yelp
Would love to rate the hotel higher -- and would do so at 72€ per night, which I saw offered for the nights before I checked in -- but at 163€ a night the hotel is a miss. PROS: Centrally located for West Berlin. Hip and quirky. Friendly staff. Basketball game in room is cool. 24/7 Restaurant "Benedict" is great. Easy to use WiFi. CONS No A/C No room service. No service of any kind really. No fridge. 11am checkout. Boisterous cleaning crews early in the morning. Funky rooms exude good energy not comfort.

Yelp
One of my favorite hotels in Berlin! First of all, communications with the staff went smooth when asking for late check-in - the replied within 15 minutes, confirming our requests. Our stay was wonderful, the room was great, comfortable, stylish and with a great bed and bathroom. We had the smallest room of all, which is perfect if you travel as an oh-so-in-love-couple :) Also, the idea of 24/7 breakfast is a huge plus when you arrive late - you should totally go for a some cookie-and-cream pancakes and drinks. In the morning, grab som of the feta-puff pastries at their bakery if the queue for the breakfast restaurant is to long at take them with you. Loved them! Staff is friendly and helpful at all times as we experienced when both my husband and I got sick during our stay with a cold. The Max Brown team arranged a very late check out so we could get some sleep before leaving last minute before the original time for check-out. Thanks for the amazing stay and see you in August!

Yelp
The hotels looks very nice from the outside. We arrived all excited. Our taxi driver told us we in an area that was lively and very nice. We were very tired and just wanted to go to bed since we were flying all day. I was traveling with my buddy and when we entered the room. We were shocked that it only had one bed. We back down stairs and the gentleman was very nice and very polite and told us that we booked a double room and that meant one big bed. He then told us to call back in the morning and they would switch our rooms. We did what he told us to do. The gentleman at the front desk told us that he could switch us, but that it would cost and additional 15 euros a night. We didn't want to pay more money, so we told them we were okay. We then went on and did our tourist things. We then went to pick up our keys to go back to the room and were informed by a very nice girl at the front desk that we have been up graded for free. We were very thankful. Pros Rooms are very nice and clean They have a coffee shop in the hotel They are connected to a restaurant The restaurant is opened 24/7 Very trendy setting The beds are very comfortable The showers have amazing shower pressure They provide you with shampoo and body wash Free WiFi and it works in the rooms Cons No Ac The rooms are small No fridge in room No closets for your clothes The hotel is to far from all the popular sites

Yelp
Very convenient with friendly staff. The room was clean and comfortable (especially the bed). Definitely not air-conditioned, but the ceiling fan kept the room pretty comfortable. The street nearby can be a bit loud, so one ought to be aware of that when booking and/or getting a room. The restaurant downstairs (open 24 hours) is also very good.
