Max Brown Hotel Midtown

Okay so we checked in on the 23rd and immediately… the vibes were THERE. The whole place was decorated for Christmas, super cozy but also lowkey chic. Comfy couches, good music, very “I could sit here forever” energy. The room was a little small, but honestly for a few days with the right person, it was totally fine. The beds were sooo comfortable, the bathroom was gorgeous, the tile was cute, and the water pressure?? elite. Also the cleaning service was good! We grabbed drinks in the lobby and met Layla, who was literally the sweetest human ever. She took such good care of us and genuinely made our stay in Düsseldorf so nice. The whole staff was very considerate and kind! The location is perfect because it’s surrounded by cute matcha spots and little snack places and the Christmas markets are super close. My boyfriend and I had the best time and would absolutely stay here again. 10/10 recommend 🥳

The only good thing was the location, and the fact that we arrived earlier and they upgraded us, so we could check into our room more quickly. Unfortunately, they really messed up. 1. They forgot to clean our room. I have never said that I don't want the cleaning service. But there is a policy: if you don't want the room to be cleaned, you will get a free drink at the bar. We didn't get anything at all! 2. We didn't have any shower gel, toilet paper or fresh towels because the cleaners forgot to clean the room. I had to use the towels to dry myself because all the water was running down onto the floor from the shower curtain. The bins were full of rubbish. I complained to the hotel because the cleaners didn't clean the room. The housekeeping manager said they clean until 11:00 and I had the 'Do Not Disturb' sign on the door until 12:00. When I checked in, no one told me about cleaning schedules. 3. The person on reception didn't give us much information when we checked in. 4. My husband wanted to order Altbier, but the woman at the reception desk said they had run out. She also spoke to us in English a lot, even though we speak German and English as our first languages. 4. The rooms are very simple. You can hear everything that is going on outside, like the noise from the street and your neighbours. 5. The walls in the corridor are dirty. 6. The room is small and the bathroom is even smaller. Be careful not to hurt yourself. 7. We don't recommend this hotel. It's not worth the money!

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. What really stood out to me was how consistently friendly and helpful the staff was. Everyone I encountered, from the reception desk, the night manager, and the team at the breakfast buffet, was professional and welcoming. The breakfast itself was very good—fresh, tasty, and with a nice selection of options. My room was nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would happily stay here again.

Booked the large room for one night. Size of the bedroom was good, size of the bathroom was very small. The room was not soundproof at all, you hear everything. Overall aesthetic is really nice and the location of the hotel is great. Staff wasn't very friendly, except for the kind woman at checkout.

Do not believe the hype -- posh photos, graphic design. When you get there you'll find it's definitely less expensive for a reason. In fact, hold out for the lowest rate possible or ask for free breakfast. The rooms are really small, the bathrooms have those tiny corner showers, the view from the room is like a prison block. The noise from the lobby travels up the staircase. I have stayed at other Sircle Collection hotels and they were great. This one shouldn't have made it to the brand.

We had a super small room with no place for our luggage. We had to put it on the floor and walk cautiously around it! The bathroom was very small and had mold on the floor. The hotel's location is near the city center, and you can walk to the Rhine in 10 minutes.

Overall it was great, only thing was that the beds was slightly broken. We could see someone had tried to repair it at some point, but we also had to kind of lift the bottom back up a few times over the trip. No biggie, but still :)

Really cute charming rooms! We got a large, and had plenty of space. Wish there were more outlets, but the charm made up for it. Also has a cute lobby to hang out in and have a refreshment if you like.
