Magic. And underpriced.
Leipzig has only few really satisfying upscale foody-food places. This is one of them.
Visiting in October, we had a seasonal slow-food set menu with autumny dishes like turnip soup, cabbage and pork. This may sound based, but the nice people at Max Enk make this a taste adventure and pair it with five local (Saxon and Saale-Unstrut) wines.
The staff was not only friendly but incredibly attentive, knowledge and witty.
We had a full set menu with additional starters, the full set of accompanying wines, coffee, pralines, and a spirit - for 160 Euros. Way too cheap.
