I was excited to try Max Well. This was a part of New Orleans that I had not yet ventured into on my trip here, and I really loved the neighborhood.
The staff is very friendly. I was worried that it would be a bit busy on a Friday night, but it wasn't.
I ordered the Ravioli. I could tell that a lot of thought went into the preparation of the dish and that the ingredients were well-sourced. It only had three ravioli, which I was a bit surprised by, since the dish costs $20. It was very tasty and I enjoyed it.
However, I was still hungry when I was finished, so I ended up ordering the Greens. I REALLY loved that since it has pickled vegetables.
I had the Sweet Potato Pie for dessert, and that was OFF THE HOOK delicious.
The plating/presentation was that of a fine dining restaurant, not the fast casual restaurant that it is. I was so impressed; each dish looked like a work of art.
Random, but important (I think): The bathroom felt a bit messy and disorganized, which didn't seem to match the rest of the restaurant.
Overall, I did really love the food experience here, and I appreciated the detail that the staff put into the food. I will be coming back before I leave New Orleans!
