Max's Chicken Dumaguete

The place is burning ! AC is not working at all. Too few staffs to serve on busy lunch hour. Although they really tried so hard to make every table have a pleasant experience. Food taste good.

I really love their Tofu Rice bowl. I'm actually posting two different pictures like a week apart because sometimes I crave it and that's what I just order. They also have other rice bowls that are affordable and delicious. Most of the items in the restaurant are a bit expensive for what Dumaguete's used to though. Service and ambience are pretty good also.

Charging me PH 499 for a bone gristle and dried out corn on the cob. I really don’t think I would recommend this place or come back. Take your chance if you enjoy getting ripped off!!!!!!!!!!

Fast service, good food and great experience

Won't be back to this franchise restaurant. Max's was always a little expensive given that it's just a franchise restaurant producing middling quality dishes.  So I was a bit shocked to see that the prices were on the higher end.  Who would seriously consider getting the Ruby's Choice at P9,399 for 8-10? Our meal came to P1950 for 3.5 people.  But the dishes were nothing special. Only a few strands of old stringy kangkung with the Adobong kangkung tofu dish, Sinigang was average, pancit colored with presumably annatto wasn't particularly appealing as the color just highlighted the oil, we didn't really order drinks either.  The servers failed to note down our Chicken sisig request... Just as well really I wasn't impressed by the food we had. For a Saturday evening meal, the restaurant was surprisingly not very busy, and now I know why. There are many better restaurants in the area, so no need to return to this one for me at least, but it was worth a try. Marks also deducted for many items not available that were on the menu or pictured on the posters.

Waited an hour and still didn’t have meal complete. We were the only ones in the restaurant. Horrible service. Do not recommend. After an hour and not having lumpia and two plates of plain rice. I asked. It came. Then a chicken plate still not served after an hour. Not acceptable

I recently visited this resto and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. While enjoying my time there, I encountered an issue with one of the lady staff members. I tried to get her attention to inquire about my order, but she seemed unresponsive and didn't acknowledge my request for the halo-halo I had ordered. When I approached her to understand the situation, her response was somewhat dismissive and she seemed apologetic, citing possible reasons for the delay. Her behavior felt rude and unprofessional, leaving me feeling quite uncomfortable. I believe good customer service is essential in any establishment, and this particular encounter left a negative impression. Regrettably, this experience has deterred me from revisiting the restaurant in the future. If possible, I would rate my visit with a zero due to this interaction.

It's okay. Place is good. Approachable waitresses. But tiny serving and lack of taste. For this and that price??? Not worth it. I personally didn't like the food we had for the first time and for the second time and for the third time so we're not going here anymore. Ordered lots because we wanted to try everything. But there's no harm in trying.
