"Watch the Game with a New York–Style Pizza Maxwell's has truly become the neighborhood pub of the Newpark area of town. With multiple TVs and a family-friendly vibe where Mom can watch the hockey game and the kids can run around on the outside patio, you'll find this place filled with local ski bums at the bar and families in the booths. Add in the huge NY-style pizzas they're famous for (try the Italian Stallion, with pepperoni, Italian sausage, and grilled chicken), and you have a winning combination. The boneless chicken wings and the Sunday Bloody Mary bar with all the fixings are local faves."

For my first visit back to Maxwells in several years, I got a Goodfella's slice to go and it really hit the spot after a long ski day. What they do really well is giving a very large portion, generously loading the pizza with toppings, and baking the crust to perfection, with crispy edges and a soft interior. What it lacked though was enough sauce. The sauce tasted fine, but there was almost none to be found! With such a skimpy serving of sauce, it just felt like the pizza was kind of incomplete. Either way, the pizza was good and it will always be a PC staple.

We went here as a decent large group. We ordered a few different items... Portions here were large and the drinks were delicious... The pizza got good reviews as well as the spaghetti, but the chicken marsala, pesto, and salads were not great and we didn't finish much of them. Not horrible but wouldn't go back

Google
If you like massive pizzas and bar food then this is THE place to go. It’s got great vibes if you have the right people with you and the pizzas are absolutely massive. The best part is that they let you split your pizzas into different flavors, which allows you to have a ton of variety. Overall, fun spot, lots of drinks, and good pizza.

Google
Fun bar atmosphere. Awesome wait staff! Calamari was great! The pizzas are flavorful, though the crust was a tad undercooked on the edges. Some may prefer this. Tried the shrimp scampi: avoid! Cooked with fettuccine, not linguine, five small tail-on shrimp, all in a watery but flavorful sauce. Served with a sandwich roll, cut in half, not toasted, no garlic, but with butter and melted cheese. This was sitting in the watery sauce which made it inedible. Not a good meal. Oh yeah, the house salad was piled on a small plate, but the lettuce leaves were large, which required cutting, but the plate was too full and too small. Made a mess on the table trying to eat it, but it was very fresh and tasty! We also had a Philly cheese steak: tasty! The fries were awesome too! Overall, worth the visit for the beer and pizza and sandwiches. I'll avoid their pasta next time.

Google
Pretty decent food. I’m not a huge pizza fan so chose the Philly. One of the best I’ve had. Salad was average. I really wish places would consider cutting the lettuce just a bit more. I also prefer my salad before my meal. The service was good.

Google
Excellent food, superb service! I can say with confidence that you can pretty much order anything on Maxwell's and you’d be thoroughly satisfied! From the moment you step through the doors, you're greeted with warmth and hospitality. The ambiance is great, and the portions are super generous and exactly what you need after a long day. And the cherry on top was Lina, our server, who was just the sweetest, friendliest, and most proactive person ever. She made our time in Park City incredible special. She's Brazilian, and we had a blast just talking to her!

Leah Dilldine

Google
Absolutely wonderful service by Gabriel. Made our Park City experience one to remember. The food was incredible, I can truly say that we had some of the best food we've ever had. During our visit we had the small order or fries and fry sauce, Spaghetti and Meatball, as well as the Salmon that comes with roasted potatoes and vegetables cooked to perfection. As you'll see, we got wonderful portions! Can't wait to come back!

Valerie Daines

Google
Food is pretty good. The fat kid pizza was good, but ask for a side of balsamic glaze if you really want to step it up a level. My husband ordered the seared salmon and that was a really nice dish as well. Has a kids menu. Big portions for the kids (they got pizza). My kids didn’t like the cheese pizza but liked the pepperoni.

Yelp
This place was YUMMY! The garlic bread was "meh". But the Donnie Brasco was SO good!!! We added chicken and that was absolutely the right choice! We got two 14" pizzas and we didn't even eat half lol Definitely a "bar" feel. Great outdoor seating with gorgeous views. We were originally going to go somewhere else for dinner. But we are staying at the Newpark Resort and I kept smelling Maxwell's, and it totally sucked me in! I couldn't think about anything else! I'm glad we came here! I'd come back for that freakin Donnie Brasco pizza for sure!

Yelp
This was our first time trying this restaurant, and unfortunately, it didn't leave the best impression. My mom and I were seated next to a noisy group of kids, and while it's understandable that this is a family spot, the constant running and noise made for an uncomfortable dining experience. I was concerned about the safety of both the kids and the staff, with hot plates and drinks being carried through the chaos. Service was friendly but understaffed, leading to a major issue with our order. After waiting 30 minutes for our pizza, we were told it had been mistakenly given to someone else. We had to wait another 30 minutes for a replacement, and while a discount was eventually provided, it had to be requested. The total bill was $90 before tip for a pizza, chicken wings, and four beers, which felt steep for the experience. The food itself didn't make up for the wait. The chicken wings tasted frozen and the pizza we finally received was underwhelming, while the cleanliness of the restaurant wasn't up to par. Overall, it wasn't the best first impression. --- Star Breakdown: - Cleanliness: (1/5) - Service: (2/5) - Food: (1/5) - Value: (2/5) - Ambiance: (1/5) --- Overall Rating: (2/5)

Yelp
First of all, the food was excellent. We ordered the pepperoni pizza as an appetizer and it was a fantastic decision. For my main meal, I got the meatball sub which was also great. The service was very nice. This place is great for watching sports with multiple TVs inside. Highly recommend if you are in the Park City area.
google avatar

Yelp
Came for a nide easy not too expensive meal with tvs to watch Football and this place answered the call! Food was quick, hot, and delightful! Service was ontop of it and our 2 yr old in company was content during the experience, would come back again!

Yelp
Great place. My son and I went for New Years and the UT game. Great decor and so many TVs. Staff was excellent and nice. Pizza was awesome. Great flavors and crust and made just right. Pizzza are huge. Highly recommend!

Yelp
If you want pizza that doesn't miss go to Maxwells. I personally prefer to order out because I've had a better experience ordering out than dining in. I do think that staff can be inconsistent and your experience can vary depending on who's working and I'm not a huge fan of the ambiance that being said ordering out is the way to go. We recently hosted a community lunch at work and we had 4 different boxes of pizza from Maxwells. Members were over the moon about the pizza -- we even had a Boston native say he was blown away by the taste. The potions are huge and the pizza tastes delicious!

Michael S.

Yelp
I've been living here for about 15 years, but have not been to Maxwell's in a while. We ordered a pizza and it promptly came. Being from the East coast, I am fully aware on how it should taste. It tasted like cardboard with tomato sauce. I tried to put oregano, red pepper as well as garlic on it, but nothing helped. This used to be the place to go for NY style pizza. No more!! I'll drive the extra 10 minute to Este Pizza.
google avatar

Sam S.

Yelp
We were extremely disappointed with our experience at Maxwell's. The service was incredibly slow; we waited 10 minutes with two reckless kids before the waitress introduced herself, and then she only checked on us once after our food arrived. We had to flag down another staff member for help and to request drink refills. The pizzas and salads were disappointing. They were so bad we didn't even bother taking the leftovers home. The restaurant itself has TVs everywhere, which is overstimulating and too noisy! We don't recommend Maxwell's, and we won't be returning.
google avatar

Greg M.

Yelp
Are you looking for excellent pizza and pasta? Look no further. This might be the best pizza not only in Park City but one of the best I've ever had. The crust is phenomenal and the sauce is perfectly paired with the cheese and toppings. My daughter had the spaghetti and meatball (one HUGE meatball) and loved it. The cost is reasonable as well. It's worth the short drive from the slopes. It is also a great place to catch a game or a drink.

Yelp
Went here last week while in Utah for work. It was right next to my hotel so nice and convenient. Had some slices of pizza and pasta. The pasta was good! The pizza was meh. Kind of cold and reminded me of cheap frozen pizza. But the service was great. And the prices were good, so I gave it more stars overall.

Yelp
Heading home from a family photo shoot at Silver Lake, we were in the mood for something fast and delicious. After some consideration, we settled on Maxwell's, mainly because we'd savored their delectable pizza on a previous occasion. Maxwell's offers pizzas in one size only, and we decided to go for it. Additionally, we couldn't resist ordering a side of boneless buffalo chicken wings accompanied by a serving of zesty ranch dressing. The pizza that arrived was nothing short of colossal, the epitome of comfort food. We found ourselves seated outside our friend's hotel, basking in the warmth of a crackling fire, all the while savoring the cheesy, doughy goodness that Maxwell's had served up. It was precisely what you'd crave for a late-night pizza fix. As for the wings, they were mouthwatering, though a touch more sauce would have taken them to perfection. Our takeout was prepared promptly, exactly as promised, arriving piping hot and as fresh as can be. Fitting that gigantic pizza box into the passenger seat was a bit of a challenge, but I managed to make it work. In conclusion, don't hesitate to give this place a try! Maxwell's definitely hits the mark for satisfying your pizza cravings, making it a must-visit spot.

Yelp
I like supporting local business and I'd say to pass on this one. Roasted tomatoes were not roasted, pizza could not see any sauce and it was bland, mozzarella cheese was not fresh and the park was store bought shelf stable, Philly barley had vegetables. With all the penny pinching done in the kitchen the price was a rip off. $70 for an appetizer, sandwich and pizza of sub par food so they lost another start for this. The buratta was nice. I realize this was not my favorite pizza place and I can say I'd rather have Domino's. At least they deliver in giving you what I'm said in the menu. Service was great.

Yelp
Philly cheese steak absolutely hit the spot after a travel morning. These sandwiches were so good and the fries were amazing as well. The bread is fresh and local. They serve the menu at the bar and service is great! Highly recommend for a lunchtime sammie!

Martin D.

Yelp
The food has really, really slipped...but not as much as the service. This place is a revolving door when it comes to staff. Their cleanliness is also questionable. I've seen things that make me no longer willing to eat there. A beer or a bourbon, sure, but I'm not having anything that comes out of that kitchen. Also, the "bar" side has really, really declined since 'Bout Time closed.
google avatar

Brendan D.

Yelp
Amazing cheesteak and that's saying something from me because I eat them quite frequently. Pizza was great too. Mac and cheese was delicious. My kids cleared their plate and that is rare. Good service. Really enjoyed it!

Yelp
Hands down the best "New York Style" Pizza you will get in Park City. The sweet slightly tangy sauce, the large size, even the grease puddles on the pepperoni is legit. The dough could be stretched a little thinner, but it's not a deal breaker. I'm an East Coast transplant who spent endless weekends in my youth partying in NYC now permanently living in Park City. Ive had my fair share of true NYC pizza and Italian food. I've tried every pizza restaurant here for a taste of home and Maxwell's is at the top of the list. Don't like pizza? Try their famous 10oz meatball. If you're looking for traditional Neapolitan style, however, I would recommend you try Versante. Maxwell's is one of the few places that's open late (11pm) that's not on Main St. Huge bar with pool table and darts. Plenty of parking and the shuttle stop is close.
google avatar

Spencer R.

Yelp
First time and we were very pleased with the quality and flavors, both the boneless wings and pizza were great. The price is a bit high but on the other hand the pizzas are large. Would come here again.
google avatar

Eric S.

Yelp
Wow!!! Let me first say no one can match NYC or Chicago pizza. Been there, had those. But dang this is really good pizza. I don't know what the one-star #Karens are complaining about. The pizza is really good. Most seem to be about sitting at a table for 10 minutes before being served. Oh well. I'll wait an extra 15 minutes for this. We are here a week and coming back to try the Philly. I'll see if I can update this post in 2-3 days. Wife Italian Stallion and I had Fat Kid. Bit were delicious. And local Moab Brewery on tap.

Yelp
The food was terrible and the service was subpar. The piccata was bad, the salmon was bad, the chicken parm sub was just god awful. The crooked tv's and pictures on the wall should've been a warning to how much they care about the quality of their food. Don't go here. The meatball was kinda good at least. The server was crying for some reason it seemed like the management wasn't treating her well. Sweet girl shitty food. I normally don't write reviews but this was so terrible I had to.

Bryan B.

Yelp
Went here with the family last night. The service was pretty rough. We were immediately seated and then waited 5-10 minutes before the server appeared. There was only one other table with guests in our section. Our server would randomly disappear for 15-20 minutes at a time. I had to stand up and walk around the restaurant two times looking for her. I did notice her chatting at length multiple times with another employee who appeared to be either a busser or someone from the kitchen. Every time we were brought plates, they were one short. Fortunately, there was a bartender nearby and I was able to ask her for an additional plate so we could all eat. The best part of the meal was the burrata we ordered as an appetizer. The pizza came out warm, not hot. It had cooled enough that from the very beginning we had to use a butter knife to re-cut the mozzarella because it was too cool to peal. The pizza with tomatoes and basil looked decent, but was extremely bland. Everyone ended up adding salt and a ton of mozzarella to it. The pizza with Alfredo sauce and several cheeses and balsamic had enough flavor, but unfortunately was cool enough that it already had pools of oil on top. I was told this place was featured on DD&D. That must've been a long time ago and I wouldn't be surprised if it was different ownership at that time. My advice: just sit at the bar and eat an appetizer or two. I would avoid the pizza or relying on a server.

Carole M.

Yelp
BEWARE! Second time I have had my credit card stolen from this restaurant. What a pain!
google avatar

Mel N.

Yelp
I swear I don't know how this place is still open. I guess they are resting in their laurels from the Diners, Drive Ins and Dives poster. Been here a few times and this will be my last. As per usual the service is awful. There always seem to be ample staff but all they do is stand around. Takes a long time to get anyone to come over so we can order. Food takes a long time to come out and they are always out of something. Another thing that seems to happen frequently here is that they add an extra something to the bill. Always check your bill here. And the food is not that good. Average at best. Maybe the fact that there is a bar is what keeps it open. Do yourself a favor and go someplace else. Anyplace else.
google avatar

Emeline C.

Yelp
We had a large party (20) and the got us in 5 minutes before our reservation, the waiter automatically brought waters which was very good because it was hot! The a bit later came back for the starters and then the entrees. I would definitely recommend their pizza! The pizza was the hit of the party! I also ordered the Caesar salad and a build your own pasta to share with my husband and the pasta was so good! By far the best Alfredo I've had. The service could have been better, but they did what they could I guess on a busy night. We were seated at 2 big booths so we all didn't get to sit together which kind of sucked. The back corner where we were the lights didn't work so we had to use our flashlights on our phones to read the menu and pay the bill. That wasn't fun. But the food was spot on and that's what you go for right?
google avatar

Dave P.

Yelp
Meh. Very vanilla Pizza. Philly was ok. Nothing special as well. Needs more veggies and sauce.
google avatar

Beth S.

Yelp
We've lived in PC 10 years, and never eaten here. A friend told us Maxwell's has best Philly Cheese outside Philadelphia. We agree. Today, Rose served us and guided us. She was awesome. We also enjoyed Caprese salad, and best chicken and artichoke soup we've ever eaten. Dine here soon. It's a great option.
google avatar

AJ M.

Yelp
Food is consistent and service is great! Big ups to Emma that took care of me today.
google avatar

FamBam S.

Yelp
Visiting park city, kids wanted pasta and meatballs. Came across this gem, and surprised they were on diner, drive ins and dives. Service was quick and almost everything was delicious. You can order pizza by the slice and we got one cheese and one Eddie would go. Pineapple and ricotta go well together. I got their chicken parmigiana. Husband got Caesar salad and chicken Philly. Hubs didn't like the texture of the chicken in the Philly. It was still a good sandwich IMO. Only pic I got was the meatball cause it was freakin huge.
google avatar

Justin S.

Yelp
1 star tonight. Service was terrible. The server came around 1 time for the entire meal and the table was very thirsty. The place wasn't even busy.

Ana S.

Yelp
Amazing Pizza! Strongly recommend it. Staff is super friendly. Loved our waiter, Charles!
google avatar

Laurie A.

Yelp
I LOVE the food at Maxwells! I usually get a huge slice of pizza but this time I chose the Philly Cheese Steak and it was one of the best I have ever had! So much food I almost could not finish it all. It may be my new favorite dish!

Pablo H.

Yelp
Coming from writing a review on google... Best place to have drinks and have fun with friends at night. Hatch, the bartender, did very good old fashions and margaritas and was a good talk. Environment was welcoming and chill. Will definitely come back with more friends next time. Thank you!

Howard M.

Yelp
You pay for the location. The food is middling; especially for the prices they charge. Very cordial and attentive wait staff. My wife tells me this is a better choice for lunch where the prices more closely match the value.

Jules H.

Yelp
Excellent team that accommodated a 16+ gathering, scrumptious pizza with a chill vibe tv's with Stanley cup finals on
google avatar

Damita T.

Yelp
Showed up here and it was slow, late Wednesday morning. They seated us then gave us water and left us there for 15 minutes without coming back to take our order. I kept looking at the host he just looked at me and looked away. The waitress that was working our table was off in her own little world sweeping and doing other things. It seemed like she wasn't going to get back to us anytime soon. We ended up leaving because they just left us there.

Linda P.

Yelp
My husband is from Philly and he loooved the cheesesteak..very authentic including the rolls they're served on.. It was excellent as well as the pizza. Highly recommend!!!

TC C.

Yelp
It's our family favorite restaurant in park city! We always ordered bruschetta and fat boy pizza. So good!!

Chris M.

Yelp
Great pizza and atmosphere. Also you have to try the spaghetti and meatball. The only place to hangout late night in the area.
google avatar

Taylor H.

Yelp
So I'm sad to write this review. Normally I'm all about maxwells. Their food is usually top of the line and I get excited to go there... But unfortunately this wasn't the case. Our waiter was stretched way to thin, our cold food was hot, our hot food was cold. Honestly my day was a little ruined after this lunch. Will I try again probably. But it will be a while.
google avatar

john t.

Yelp
I've gone to Maxwells several times over the past 10 years however Saturday marks my final time after several bad experiences. I can only surmise that the original owner, John is long removed from the restaurant. Over the past 2 years, I have found Maxwells to be dirty, have poor service, and have lousy food. . I would have enjoyed a microwave pizza more than what i paid 30 bucks for this past weekend. Maxwells is either trying to run itself out of business or worse, and i would definitely go somewhere else next time in PC

Chester C.

Yelp
going against the grain here. Shrinkflation...the pies aren't smaller but its only 1 size and i kind of double checked the bill when takeout was 58 bucks for 2 pizzas with toppings. i mean - please gut check me here is 5 star pizza 30 bucks a pie? i know in big cities that can be the case, like Di Fara's in NYC...but...this is not that. the service is super hit or miss, and i think the reviwers are right about that. i do agree the sandwiches are probably the better value. avoiding when possible.
google avatar

Kurt S.

Yelp
The pizza here is amazing and the restaurant used to be one of my favorites here in Park City for decent priced good food that's quick. Service has gone down the past year or so. We always have a large party; but still 12 or less and servers are adamant that it's 1 bill for the entire party. If you ask for a refill or extra ranch from one of the workers other than your server you are greeted with a bit of an attitude and they walk off and talk to fellow employees about you. I know this because I walked behind them when I went to the restroom and heard it myself. Hopefully this culture within the restaurant changes as I used to enjoy this place. Update... Went to give this restaurant another swing and they are currently on strike two. Nothing has changed with service or attitudes. Stay tuned for one more shot and then I'll never eat here again. It'll be a bummer if that happens because I love their pizza!
google avatar

Shelby V.

Yelp
Got takeout so this review is only for the food. Got a caesar salad and make your own pasta. I got gnocchi with creamy pesto sun-dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts. My friend got fettuccine with creamy tomato basil sauce, the same vegetables. The food was great and filling. The star off was only bc the online menu has incorrect pricing so we thought we'd be paying about 15 dollars less but it was a pretty pricey dinner.
google avatar

Nettifer W.

Yelp
Their Philly cheese was unreal! The meat was cut so nice, had great flavor, juicy and the veggies were amazing! The fries were amazing too. Beer batter. Fun place to watch sports too. Good fun energy on the restaurant
google avatar

Jordan N.

Yelp
Pretty good spot! Really good buffalo wings and pizza! Definitely recommend. Sometimes service can be slow that's the only reason for not having 5 stars.

George M.

Yelp
Stopped in our first night in town. The place was busy but we were promptly seated and attended to by the waiter. We ordered pizza and I was surprised how quickly it came out. There was a nice selection of beers to accompany the pizza. Good food and good fun was had by all.

Sy B.

Yelp
Is the pizza good? Absolutely. The sandwiches are generally good, too. The problem is booth seats that are lumpy and torn and an interior that is too dark on sunny days,

Terri T.

Yelp
We stop by to get this pizza every time we are in park city. Pizza is a big pie with generous size slices. Good thin New York style. Ordered the wings this time too and they were flavorful and fresh, served with carrot sticks and celery.

Mary S.

Yelp
Had exceptional New York style pizza here. I'm Italian and was expecting to be disappointed but to my surprise, this place was great. Also, tried the meatball which was also a nice surprise because it was tender and had lots of flavor. I would have to say, this is the best pizza in the area.

K N.

Yelp
This review is for pizza only. The last one we had was pretty bad. Thick. Undercooked. Toppings were tasteless. Sauce was thin and just ok. Their pizza used to be a solid 7.5/10
