May Shan Hotel

I stayed here numerous times when i visited Burma (Myanmar). The location is unbeatable, right near Sule Pagoda and downtown Rangoon (Yangon). The staff are fantastic and took me out for a night for food and music. Once Myanmar opens its borders i will come back here again. Been 10 years since last stay. Really great memories of Myanmar. An affordable hotel, easily accessible by local transports. I love it as May Shan is very near to the touristy sites like within walking distance to Sule Pagoda and my favorite biryani rice, Nilar Restaurant, the new Sule Mall and then, Bogyoke Market is very nearby too. A clean hotel with a small sized restaurant. The hotel staff- helpful, courteous and friendly.

If you are looking for a budget hotel, it is the right place to go. It is in downtown and you can see Sule pagoda which is one of the most famous pagodas in Yangon from your window. If you feel like taking a bus to go to places, the bus stop is just nearby.

Locate in the downtown just in front of Maha Bandula Park and very close to City Hall and Sule Pagoda. The hotel is nice and feel like a home. Importantly, it has fair price although the rooms are a bit small.

Pleascence and centrally for public transport as well as food such as steak and Japanese cuisine.
