The place was good. We stopped by there for lunch, and we had the seafood platter it was tasty. The ceviche was on point along with the kids' food. The salsa is on the spicy side. Will definitely come back and recommend. The only short is the wait for the food to arrive, the waiter did the best he could. Winter season is less staff, so it probably is not the same during busier summer times.

This place is so beautiful! I absolutely loved it. My tacos were delicious. We were very short on time, so we had our food packed to go. I wish we could have enjoyed it more. My whole family really liked this place and it was very affordable. We definitely recommend it.

My family was on a Cruise and Progreso was one of our stops. We walked down to the beach once we were dropped off at the Flea Market. I was looking for a bathroom and came across this beautiful restaurant. I asked the host if they had a bathroom and she said yes and so went in and was so Amazed how beautiful this place was! Plus we were hungry so we decided to eat there. I could not get over how friendly Illya was and the staff was towards us. The menu was also beautiful 🤩 We had order the Coconut shrimp and they were huge! The shrimp tostadas, an appetizer with guacamole, black beans, and salsa with chips, Ceviche and different mixed drinks. Everything was fresh and homemade. We stayed for over an hour and wished we could have stayed longer but had shopping to do before we board the ship again. I highly recommend this Authentic Restaurant! I can’t wait to be able to go back one day. Definitely one of the highlights for my Cruise! I would give them 10 stars ⭐️ if I could! Such a pretty place.

What a great vibe with a pool and showers in the back! Loved the coconut shrimp and the burrito. Will be back for the pool alone, although I wish the service was a little quicker.

The decor and pool are the best part. The food was just average. Really had the urge to try some Lobster, but was so confused as there was no price listed for the lobster. The waitress told us, "the price depends on how much you order", but didn't go on to specify the minimum amount that you can order, nor what the price is for that amount. We ended up ordering the Shrimp Tacos and Chicken Breast, which weren't bad, but nothing to write home about. The Shrimp Tacos, although large and filling, were a little dry and bland. They should put some sauce and seasoning on them. The sauces in the bottles are too bland and the sauce they provide on the side is too hot.

We stumbled into this place on our way to the famous Crabsters! My kids saw the pool and were sold! Sandro our waiter was EXCELLENT! So attentive and on top of everything! He really made our visit amazing! Food is excellent and portions are HUGE! Gracias Sandro!

First time we have went to progresso and we didn’t make any plans. Happen to walk by this place and popped in just to have a beer. Then we went to get massages and ended up coming back we enjoyed it so much. The ambiance of this place was amazing. It’s a relaxing laid back vibe. Will definitely eat here every time we come to progresso. We had the octopus paprika and the lobster/shrimp skewers. Both were phenomenal.

Honestly I am so surprised a touristy place has so tasty chilaquiles. Nice coffee and nice view too. Very good!

Yelp
Amazing food and friendly service! First time in Mexico and had the best octopus that I ever had! I will be back.

Yelp
I was thrilled to find a full service place in LA other than Chichen Itza that had a Yucatecan "inspired" menu. My husband is from the Yucatan and I have been going there for 40 years. The only thing on the menu that even resembled comida Yucateca is the cochinita piblil. Someone here on FB said they had Tikin-xic...I didn't see it on you on the menu. Everything else looked rather gringo inspired. Other than the name where is the Yucatecan inspired food?

Yelp
The vibe of the place is chill and the music is pumpin'! However the food had no flavor and the meals came at extremely different rates. We were going to get the kebabs, but they told us it would be 45 minutes, so we ordered our second choices. Then, we waited 45 minutes for simple chicken tacos for our kids!!! Service was horrendous and sporadic. They lure you in with the awesome decor, but leave unsatisfied. We sent the fish back because it was undercooked and it came back... undercooked. The margaritas were watered down, and the "sangria", was wine on top of lemonade. Oh and the "cocktail shrimp" is not the traditional cocktail sauce. It's like a weird, paprika syrup. And the ceviche is whole chunks, not cut in tiny pieces. The only good dish was the coconut shrimp. Don't fall for this horrendous tourist trap like we did. Absolute disgrace

Yelp
Fantastic atmosphere. Right on the beach. Every table in each area is different. Very cool and great value. First time we ate here the food was awesome. Second time, we had almost the exact same food but many of the items were lack luster. The lime soup the first time was fantastic but the second time it tasted just like chicken broth out of the can, no lime flavor. The chicken fajitas were came out not hot or sizzling but cool. Most of the food was good and we will definitely go again. The staff is very friendly.

Yelp
The decor here got us. We went in for a shot and were considering lunch. Left and got the family and came back in for lunch. It's beautiful and the staff is friendly. Large menu with lots of options (posted separately on accident from this review but it's updated). Several really delicious things we loved! Definitely recommend. Another benefit is it's on the beach and has clean bathrooms. Downside; no fans inside so it was pretty warm.

Yelp
Good restaurant in Progreso. Shrimps are great ñ, a la diabla, ajillo or just al la plancha. Tortillas are also good. Pulpo not really the best but it was fresh. Drinks ... clericot is just syrup. So it's better something safer like margaritas or just a beer. Very good location and decoration

Yelp
Comida fría y servicio lento. Ni intentes de comer aquí. Regrese la comida dos veces y sigue saliendo frío. Jamás llegaré a este restaurante. EVITA ESE LUGAR! The food came out cool. Sent it back TWICE before finally telling them I wasn't paying. AVOID THIS PLACE!!

Yelp
I do not understand why this place is rated so low. The food is amazing. The service was amazing. The drinks were amazing. We got complimentary pineapple juice as well as another complimentary fruit juice (that I did not try so I don't know what is was..maybe plum). The food took a while to come out but it was worth the wait. Our waiter Renee was amazing and got us everything we needed. Needless to say, we will be coming back.

Yelp
Great dinner experience. Stopped in while walking down to the malecón. Super friendly staff a lot of good looking choices on the menu. I ordered the stuffed chicken and wife had a steak burrito that she subbed to chicken. Both dishes were really good size and most importantly delicious! Our server was great, meal was perfect pace, not too fast but not painfully slow either. The ambiance was spectacular. Great place. Highly recommend

Yelp
You MUST try the poc chuc nachos! We haven't had poc chuc that compares since. It was very flavorful and there was real nacho cheese, not just grated but BOTH! We loved the comfy lounge/cabana vibe. This restaurant is very well decorated. Hope they fill the pool back up soon. It's a very nice touch. Spectacular views of the ocean!

Yelp
This is a perfect place to hang out in Progreso at night. I say at night because there are no locals from the area that will bug you for any products they try to sell. They have many options on their menu and the prices are reasonable. We tried their wings and it was pretty tasty though small in size but the sauce is so good. They have various types of drinks too to choose from. I definitely recommend this place and we will surely be back. :)

Yelp
The food was really good. The service however is something completely different. 8 people in our party all got their entrees at different times. It took 50 minutes for the first meal to show up, the last person didn't get their plate until an hour and a half after ordering. Terrible

Lisa W.

Yelp
Friendly staff and food was good. Great location across from the beach and easy to take drinks to go without the markup. Relaxing view.

Yelp
Do not go here! Had confirmed reservations for NYE, but were not on "their list". After speaking to multiple people that worked there, we finally were squeezed at a table and treated like trash. Awful food, awful drinks, awful service. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Amanda G.

Yelp
We've eaten here twice. The first time the food was delicious. We ordered the camarones al ajillo which my husband loved. When it came time to pay the bill the waiter asked if we wanted the tip on the card. We said yes so he proceeded to give himself a very generous tip. The second time the food was only mediocre and when it came time for the bill the waiter gave us a verbal total which upon reflection was about $100 pesos more than it should have been. We've since heard from other people in the area that we are not alone in this. We will not be going back which is a shame because the setting is really beautiful.

Yelp
Horrible food. My daughter ordered nachos that were chips with some cheese and tough salty meat. Nothing else. Was supposed to have guacamole but they were out, something the waiter didn't mention till we asked. No salsa, no nothing. The nacho were inedible. I had soup that was nothing special but at least edible. Server was pleasant and the decor was funky in a fun sort of way. Oh yeah, the nachos and soup meal we ordered took over an hour to be served. Without a doubt the worst meal we had in Progreso.

Yelp
First off. Margaritas are good. Not too sour just right. Started with the Burritos appetizer, then créma broccoli soup and chef special fish fillet with cream cilantro sauce all were so delicious. Wait staff good but not great. Asked for a picante salsa and never got it. No food dishes here in this town come to you hot. All just warm. But the food was more than delicious. Atmosphere 5 stars so relaxing but good current music. All knock off but still good. So tourist from the cruise ship start

Yelp
We visited this restaurant on July 13th.2016.It's around 8:00PM. It looks nice from distance because of the pyramid shape and colorful lighting, the Pool and music, which feel like an invitation. Beside it has a great location. Once you entering inside you need to pass through hanging "Shell chandeliers" obstacles in everywhere, sometime you need to duck yourself to avoid those annoying unnecessary decoration hit on your face, head or stuck on your Hair. Table was dirty and wet. We order the Big Botana Tray (Big Snacks tray) cost about $310, plus we order Beer and fresh Lemonade. We asked if the lemonade made from fresh lemon squeeze, just like most restaurant does in Yucatan, he told "of course". (we were speaking in Spanish, because he doesn't speak English).Once we teste the lemonade it was disgusting (taste like a raw sewer) seems it was made from expired dated concentrated artificial lemon flavor powder. Waiter (the guy with beard little heavy, Black T-Shirt) we ask him to teste the lemonade, he taste and told us "Oh its seem taste lite. "Let me bring some more squeeze fresh lemon". So, he did bring in a shot glass it's a same lemon concentrated liquid(not from Fresh lemon). However lemonade Taste still disgusting.(we didn't drink it). We waited over 30 minutes to get our snacks tray. Guess what in the Menu mentioned, 8 or 6 cheese sticks, but we got 5, chicken wings should be 16pieces its came with 10 pieces and the chicken wing was so small even the Frog legs would look giant. He never returns back to our table to ask, if we okay or need some more Beer or so. He knew we are not from Yucatan, because of our Spanish accent and our looks. I didn't want to tip him a penny, because he lied. But my wife insists, so, I tip him 100 pesos. He accepted with a big smile, but he never say Sorry for the fake lemonade and missing food from the Tray, he didn't say come again, only word he said "Gracias". I would recommend not to go to this place not worth it,and the reason is, Expensive, It's a rip-off, " Bad service", wait time is unacceptable, they cheat and lie in the menu. By the way don't drink or ask for ICE. Because Ice taste was weird, I think they are not using water filter. It's not safe. The restaurant I would recommend is Flamenco which is one block from this restaurant. Why I would recommend Flamenco? I have been visited over 60 country in the world, I speak 7 languages and I could tell who are the real professional restaurant business people and not just a "Joe the Plummer guy" opening a Restaurant business, whom has no Idea what it takes to operate a Food business.

Yelp
What a horrible experience! First let me say my husband and I have both worked in the the restaurant business so we understand seating. We walked by and waiter gave us menus and invited us in.We were starving so accepted. This was around 3 pm. The only customers there were one family and 2 men. Waiter told us we could sit where we wanted. It was blazing hot and all the 2 tops were in the sun, plus some were in the sun and up against the pool that had kids splashing. We chose one of the tables that had the curtains. Waiter takes our drink orders and we had already decided on our meal and ready to place , just waiting on his return. We loved the atmosphere so much I could see us spending a couple of hours there having more drinks after our meal, I was excited for my Mango margaritas to come to the table. All of a sudden a manager walks up and tells us we cant sit there!! He said it was only seating for families!! He directed us to sit in the full blazing sun . We told him the sun was blaring there, the waiter ran up looking confused and the manager walks off. So we left. Now I totally get having certain seating available. I have hosted before and you try and save big tables for large parties but the place was practically empty at 3pm. Also if we had been told when we first walked in we could only sit certain places we could have decided to stay or go and not be embarrassed by someone pretty much throwing us out. Too bad for them. We will never be back. This was not only a vacation, but I trial run because we are planning on purchasing a home there. So they lost what could have been long time customers all because of a jerk manager.

Yelp
We stopped in for dinner Sunday night. The food was good but not great. The owners or employees kids were running around the restaurant disturbing the customers.
