Maya Ubud Resort & Spa

From the moment we entered the beautiful long drive through the gates, we were wowed. Then we met the staff. And we knew we were somewhere special. Having come from Maya Sanur, where our experience was a lot different, we were a little nervous about our week here. We needn't have been. Everything was absolutely wonderful. The resort jungle pool is stunning. A little hike to get to, but worth the effort. And made even more special by being adult only. We were very fortunate to have been upgraded into a gorgeous jacuzzi villa. It was so spacious, comfortable and had such a lovely Balinese vibe. With a perfect work station that we very much appreciated. We loved it very much. Our enjoyment was perhaps heightened because of the villa we were lucky enough to stay in. However, our overall experience was certainly made all the more wonderful because of the staff. Absolutely every single staff member, at all times was friendly, warm, welcoming and happy, with outstanding service. This really is what made this resort stand out.

It was such a pleasant and memorable stay for our babymoon at Maya Ubud Bali. The location is perfect — close enough to the Ubud center, yet still surrounded by that calm, “back-to-nature” feeling we were really looking for. The whole atmosphere felt peaceful, relaxing, and exactly what we needed. The staff were genuinely kind and helpful throughout our stay. We spent most of our time just enjoying the hotel area itself, and honestly, that alone already made the trip amazing. A special mention to Sadewa, who was incredibly friendly and excellent service on resto for breakfast. Overall, it was a beautiful experience, and we’d definitely love to come back someday.

I had a really great stay at Maya Ubud Resort. The service was amazing, everyone was friendly and really helpful. I especially want to thank Mr. Parta and Ms. Rika, who were both incredibly kind and made the restaurant experience incredible. The room was comfortable, clean, and had that nice mix of modern and Balinese vibes. And the view was absolutely stunning. Waking up to the greenery and the peaceful atmosphere was one of the highlights of the trip. Overall, Maya Ubud is a beautiful place with great service and an even better view. I’d definitely come back.

Maya Ubud is a lovely resort set in the lush green area of Ubud, featuring two beautiful swimming pools(9/10). As with most hotels in Bali, the staff are very friendly and polite (10/10). However, I personally don’t feel it meets the standard of a five-star hotel(7/10). The rooms are clean but quite basic and standard (7/10). The breakfast was acceptable(6/10), and they also offer a simple complimentary afternoon tea from 4–5 pm. Their spa has an amazing view (10/10) and is highly recommended, but the prices are definitely on the higher side.

We had an amazing stay. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and stunning, and the staff are incredibly friendly—everyone we interacted with was genuinely kind. The butler team was phenomenal. They checked in with us every day and were always eager to help (special thanks to Gus Trisna, Yoga, Mana, and Gangs).||The Kids Club ladies were especially wonderful. They welcomed our children with full hearts. When our daughter had a meltdown, they soothed her by letting her feed the fish and playing with her. They even picked up our baby, put him down for a nap right away, and kindly trimmed his nails. Their care meant so much to us as parents.||The food—both room service and the restaurants—was delicious. And the breakfast buffet was everything we hoped for.||We truly loved our stay and can’t wait to return.

I have very fond memories of this amazing place. The hotel is located in the middle of the jungle, on a large, well-maintained grounds, and if you're an aesthete and a perfectionist, you'll be completely satisfied this place. My wife and I vacationed here. We had a massage with an incredible view of the river, accompanied by the sounds of rain and the river. We felt completely at one with nature. The staff was extremely polite and courteous at every step. After the massage, there was dinner with live music and incredibly delicious food. We thoroughly enjoyed both our time at this hotel and our interactions with the super-polite staff. My sincere recommendations for this place🙌

Our stay at Maya Resort and Spa was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was outstanding. Every staff member was warm and helpful — especially Ari and Stephan, who went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy throughout our stay. The resort is incredibly clean and beautifully maintained, surrounded by lush greenery that makes it feel like a true tropical escape. We did feel the air conditioning wasn’t quite cold enough at first, but the team immediately brought us an extra fan and made sure everything was perfect — such great service! The highlight of our trip was the spa by the river — peaceful, relaxing, and absolutely stunning. Listening to the sound of the flowing water during the massage was pure bliss.

This trip was magical!! 4 days spent in paradise. Maya Ubud was by far the most beautiful hotel we’ve stayed at. We had a pool villa with a beautiful view. The spa services were fantastic, we had the best massages and then a flower bath, it felt like a dream! The food was delicious and there was a lot of variety, the last night we had a chef barbecue in our villa for a private and romantic dinner. At breakfast the team of Sutrisna, Dalem and Wira were always attentive and gave us a great service. We can’t wait to come back!
