our repeated return to maya ubud again everytime we are in bali. never get tired with maya ubud after so many years coming to bali for holidays. maya is so relaxing and comfortable for rest. breakfast is wonderful and the staffs are excellent to make sure your needs and requests are attended to. Shout out to Parnata and his awesome team Sutrisna, Dewi, Wira, Putra and all staffs making our morning breakfast experience so wonderful. maya has 2 beautiful pool over looking the deep valley and river. the pool captain Made Sonata is very cheerful and friendly and helpful, making our visit to the pool very delightful. we had a great time at Tree bar for drinks and dinner with great live music for 3 nights, again must shout out to Desy and Ekan and her team making sure our food and dinner experience is enjoyable and memorable. we will be back again definitely to maya ubud soon in bali.

Everywhere you turn feels like stepping into a postcard.||We stayed in a private villa with a plunge pool, and it was beyond dreamy. The room was beautifully designed with traditional Balinese touches, yet had all the modern comforts. Waking up to birdsong and sipping coffee on our terrace while overlooking the jungle was truly unforgettable.||The staff at Maya are on another level—genuinely warm, attentive, and always smiling. Every interaction felt heartfelt. You’re not just a guest here, you’re truly taken care of.||And let’s talk about the spa—perched over the river with the sound of flowing water and birds in the background, it was hands-down the most magical massage experience I’ve ever had. It’s not just a treatment, it’s a memory.||We dined at both restaurants on site, and the food was phenomenal—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Amazing service from all the staff we met at Maya! No request was too small or overlooked by the team. When my coffee turned cold at breakfast, the waiter offered to get me a new cup. When I shopped too much and requested for an extra box, I received two boxes, tape and scissors. The hotel is also beautifully and thoughtfully designed. The grounds were lovely and we all enjoyed the pools, yoga sessions and walks along the river. Rejuvenating stay!

The hotel is amazing! Lots of palm trees, greenery, and it feels like you're in the jungle. You can really feel the magical atmosphere of Indonesia. The service in the restaurant is excellent. Our waiter, Sedewa, was very friendly and attentive. We were very satisfied with the food and service in the hotel restaurant. It was a very enjoyable visit!

I’ve had an incredible stay at the hotel, the team has been incredibly amazing throughout and make you feel very welcomed. All the staff in the restaurant like Sutreshna, Parkha Wira, Dask, Inda went above and beyond to make my stay amazing. The people at the reception like Aria, Puspa, Gus have been incredibly helpful. The pools are beyond wonderful, and the restaurants are amazing too. My heavenly villa was more than I could have asked for! I’m coming back to Maya again!

From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect — the food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and full of rich Balinese flavors. Every meal felt like a special occasion. The vibes of the resort are just incredible — peaceful, serene, and deeply connected to nature. The sound of the river, the lush greenery, and the elegant design of the resort created such a calming and luxurious atmosphere. The service was beyond excellent. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. You can feel that they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and pampered at every step. And the views? Breathtaking. Whether it’s the jungle canopy, the river valley, or the perfectly maintained gardens, there’s beauty in every direction. It’s truly a hidden paradise in Ubud. Highly, highly recommend — we’ll definitely be coming back!

We stayed as a family of three with our 1 year and 8 month old son. Maya Ubud was truly beautiful. The location is nicely set apart from central Ubud, so we were able to enjoy a peaceful stay. There was also a yoga class, and I was very happy to practice yoga in such a natural environment. At the spa, Mei-san (she knows Japanese)took care of me and her warm hospitality was wonderful. Whenever I called the front desk, they responded promptly, and driver Dharma-san made a very good impression with his polite Japanese. This is a special place we would love to come back to for another family trip when we want to travel a little more luxuriously.

Location 10+ Staff 10 F&B 8 Housekeeping 9 We just finished our 2025, fortnight summer holiday. This year we have chosen for ‘The Maya Ubud Hotel’, situated in Bali, Indonesia. It was a conscious choice, because we did not want a beach holiday this time. The pictures on the internet showed us an overwhelmingly beautiful location, with several beautiful swimming pools; three restaurants; a beautiful Spa, all situated in the middle of rainforest. The reality has proven to be even more impressive. We were located in a villa ( # 709 ) with a private swimming pool and garden; and direct view over sawa’s ( ricefields ) and completely private. A spacious, beautifully designed room and bathroom, was completed with a perfect butler service, which worked easily via WhatsApp. Making reservations for restaurants at the hotel, or in Ubud itself ( f.i. Restaurant Mozaik - Michelin worthy ), were easily and directly handled. In addition, there are separate fitness and massage pavilions. My wife and daughter received the best massages ever, which ended in a flower bath overlooking the rainforest. The staff is very helpful without exception, but only the upper management speaks good English. Most of the other employees speak poorly English. The breakfast restaurant, offers a variety of choices for guests coming from all over the world. The dinner menu is quite simple, but verry tasty. A good variety of choice, but don’t expect a star quality cuisine. Various excursions can be made from the hotel. Bali attracts a lot of tourists. So places like Ubud are verry crowded with more scooters than you have ever seen. But tourists tend ‘to cluster’ to famous places. Apart from those there is a variety of places to visit were there are hardly any tourist at all. You can take a ‘4x4 Land Rover day tour’, which shows you less famous waterfalls; tempels; a volcano site; local craftsmen etc. A worthwhile excursion, including with a lunch buffet, which I highly recommend. We had an unforgettable holiday and can heartily recommend both the hotel and the surrounding area to everyone. We have visited a lot of beautiful hotels all over the world, but ‘The Maya Ubud Hotel’, most certainly belongs to the top three. Partly because of the location, partly because of the friendly staff.
