Cabin was nicely appointed with comfy bed and quality linen. It was equipped with basic cooking facilities and consumables and everything was clean and neat and we'll set up. The owners were lovely. I'd highly recommend staying here for anyone needing a nice break or to explore the local area like Mt Field NP.

Tranquil, picturesque setting and such a lovely, well-equipped cabin. We loved staying here and wished we could have stayed longer. Really enjoyed speaking with Jo and she gave us so much good information about Styx Tall Trees, Mt Field — places nearby that we visited. Thank you so much Jane and Rosanna 🇨🇦

Charging flat $15 a day for an EV top up charge was excessive on top of the accom cost. The car was not a high range model and only needed a few hours topup after travelling only 1.5 hrs from Hobart. Actual cost for power used to would be $2 - $4 max. Better to charge EV’s at the Fika Time café fast charger whilst having a coffee or lunch . There was also no basic teapot, coffee pot, tea strainer, things one would normally find useful and generally provided as standard essentials in an air b&b kitchen.

My wife and I spent three nights and had a lovely experience. The location is sensational, very quiet, peaceful, and with views of the surrounding mountains and forest, not to mention the alpacas who you can spend the day just watching :) Our room was very clean, and the kitchen was well supplied with everything we needed. Customer service was absolutely second-to-none - including very useful information provided before arrival about activities and shops/restaurants in the area. Thank you J and S for the amazing experience, I hope to see you again one day :)

Lovely clean cabins. Easy to find. The bed was so comfortable! Lovely host and very informative about the alpacas. They are very quiet and I walked around with them. Amazing mountain views. I could even see some snow on top of one of the mountains.

We stayed in the Lavender cabin for 3 nights in Jan 2025. Jo was an exceptional host. She helped us out when we were in a pinch with some of our supplies. She was a delight to get to know. Her information about the surrounding area is thorough and beyond match to any place I’ve stayed before. We enjoyed one day hiking nearby waterfalls and another day driving to Lake Pedder/Gordon Dam. The drive was beautiful. The Pedder Lodge is open for lunch 12-3pm even while the lodge itself is under renovation. On the drive home we did a short, very steep and challenging hike up the Needles Track for stunning views. Westerway Berries was great for fresh berries for breakfast and snacks at the cabin. If you are spending time in the Mount Field or Pedder Lake area, or are a mountain biker, I would recommend Maydena Cabins.

Lovely spot, has everything you need. Alpacas are a bonus. Were really generous when we booked the wrong date accomodating our request to change at very short notice. Also heating the room up for us on arrival, Thank you !
