Mayka vegan & vegetarian restaurant

The food was exceptional, very tasteful and the portions were big. All the food on the menu is vegan, but can be vegetarian. We tried Vege New FatBoy Burger and County of Belgrade, both were delicious. We also tried their hot chocolate, it was so so good, the texture is ticker, delicious. For dessert, we tried their brownie, it was excellent, they make it with Belgium cacao, so so good.

We were immediately shown the character of this place when we were sat at a table holding the harvest of apples they were adding to meals! The hosts managed our bad Serbian with excellent english. We got chickpea curry, seitan burger; a recent-harvest tomato salad with free pitta and a free shot just because!! The food was wonderful proper homemade. I would go with the chef’s recommendations because we enjoyed the curry a lot. We enjoyed so much that we got dessert to take away (full from all the extras). The place is truly unique and feels like visiting your eccentric aunt’s house. The people are wonderful; big recommend.

We are non vegetarians but walked past this fabulously individual place and we decided to have dinner there. The atmosphere is fantastic, very cosy, interesting with lovely and very friendly people. The drinks selection is excellent and the beer we were recommended was the best we had in Serbia! The food was very good, the salad brilliant and the burger was superb. It was really good vegetarian food that I would recommend for everyone even for non vegetarians. We had a great time and would definitely go back again!

We ate here 2 times and the food is amazing. Very tasty and you can feel it’s made with love and care. After you eat here you feel so satisfied and also get so much energy with 0 laziness, no bloating, no bad feelings, just 100% good fresh happy healthy energy. Also the staff is nice and helpful. Apart from the food you MUST TRY THE CHOCOLATE MOUSSE , it’s literally the best in the world and we ate in so many countries around the world. I can honestly put Mayka in the top 5 vegan places (one of the best after food feelings ever). Must try and 100% will come back every time we are in or near Belgrade.

The food was absolutely delicious! Even though I’m not a vegetarian or vegan, this was definitely one of the best meals I’ve had. Everything tasted authentic and homemade, and the place has such a warm, homey atmosphere.

For beer lovers I can highly recommend Mayka. As a life long meat eater this wouldn't normally be my first choice of hang outs. I was drawn in by the eclectic style and promises of icy cold beer. Their choice of four local draft beers and countless local and international bottled options would put many specialist 'beer' bars to shame. So if it's good beer that you're looking for, don't disregard Mayka, you might even end up trying some of their largely home grown and exceptionally delicious food. You can certainly taste the passion this family run business has for food and drink.

Really yummy and unique vegan dishes. Cool vibe (outside and inside!) and sweet people with a beautiful mission of kind, slow food. Even though I got my food pretty timely! Their sauces are sooo good and I love whatever they put on my burger! 😋 I even was gifted a little chocolate cup! I’ve been ordering them through delivery for a couple weeks and finally went in person and it did not disappoint at all 😍

If you are vegan or vegetarian, eating in Belgrade can be a bit of a struggle. I was so excited to try Mayka since I could eat everything on the menu! Additionally, they had some nice beers which I enjoyed. The place is really welcoming and cozy, and you can tell the owners put a lot of love into everything. I definitely recommend Mayka to anyone in Belgrade who wants to try food that is vegetarian/vegan that is unique or just wants a delicious meal, period. They were very welcoming to me as a tourist, and if I lived in Belgrade, I’d want to go regularly to try all the other stuff on the menu. If you are in Belgrade, you absolutely have to eat here!
