How to Plan a Ski Trip to Mt. Hood Meadows

Justin at the maz is the funniest, coolest, most helpful bartender I’ve run into up there. Forget signing up for ski school (though you prob should) , just stop by for a damn good dog and grab a few pointers from him!

No inside seating really, it's a window for outdoor enjoyment in the good weather.

Mid mountain booze and snacks. Very small warming hut sits only 12. Lots of outside chairs for sunny days.

Best spot on the mountain on a sunny day!

This beer hut is super convenient, located shortly at the top of the Mt Hood Express lift. On weekends the line can get a little nuts, but if you take an early put stop you can enjoy a cold beer with a stellar view - and maybe a fully loaded sausage to go with it.

Yelp
This place gets five stars just for the location. The inside is incredibly small and can hold maybe less than 10 people uncomfortably. The prices are reasonable here and there is plenty of seating outside such a really cool and unique way to celebrate a run on the slopes.

Yelp
This is a little hideout bar located on the Meadow (6000 feet!) between bottom of Cascade Express and the bottom of Mt Hood Express. You can stop by when you want to have a quick break and have a sip of beer or wine, and have a hot dog if you are hungry. They also have hot chocolate for non-drinker. It's cozy, (yes very small), and gets very crowded sometime. But warm you up and give your legs good rest. They have outside seatings and you can see the killer view of Mt Jefferson. Please note that they don't have a bathroom.

Yelp
I love this little spot on the mountain! They have chairs and and tables for you to eat and drink. Beautiful views of the mountain. They have beers, snacks, and hot dogs. Definitely a good pit stop when you're on the mountain.
