Google
Coffee here exceeds expectations—highly recommend the con panna and peach oolong. Super chill and cozy vibes with fantastic live band music. Live performance runs from 7 to 9pm Fridays. Lead singer June is incredibly warm and welcoming. This place is more than just a café. Highly recommend visiting!

Google
Cozy, good amount of seating, seems underrated! I've lived here years and never got here before. Open til 9 with music at 7 on Fridays. Good coffee, friendly service, and I enjoyed my smore's latte.

Google
I usually like latte certain temperature, but this time it was perfect for the weather we had here. It was really hot and stayed hot for a long time. Inside is very cozy and customer service was very friendly!

Google
Google recommended that i come here for coffee since it near my airbnb. However, my experience was sub-par. Had a flat white with soy milk & jalapeno/cheese bagel. The flat white was weak. It had a bunch of bubbles at the top & no microfoam like it was made in a rush. The bagel was decent. Limited seating-6 small tables. Center area has stage for performances. The vibe seemed a bit tense & unwelcoming. They played good music though.

Google
I tried a medium roast there without milk and cream and it was delicious. I normally get a light roast as I like my coffee without sugar and cream. As a roaster I hoped/expected to see a wider variety of beans, for instance, to be made as pour over upon request. But it is understandable that in a small town like Fairbanks this may not make a viable business model. Anyway, if you want a coffee better than Starbucks and a local roast this place is a very good option. Last but not least, apparently this place has live music events.

Google
A straightforward, charming, and very friendly coffee cafe, offering simple breakfast (muffins, bagels, yogurt, smoothies, etc) and simple lunch fare. Perfect for the tourist who wants to avoid the quantity and cost of hotel buffets. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

Google
Stopped in here while waiting for city bus. Great little coffee shop. Nice chill boho vibes and the very BEST coffee I’ve had in a long long time. Great job McCafferty’s. If you were located in Windsor ,Ontario I’d be a regular

Google
We visited this cafe twice. The vibe is cozy and warm. Lots of art pieces throughout the cafe to admire. We ordered hot chocolate, cappuccino and con panna. All were well crafted. Coffee drinks are strong. They also roast their own coffee beans

Yelp
This place is cute. Service was fast and the person who helped us was very friendly. Loved our Mocha and Orange Poppy slice.
google avatar

Franklin M.

Yelp
It was past noon and with the freezing winter weather we stopped by to enjoy some hot coffee. There were no customers when we entered and we ordered a mocha coffee, special hot thick chocolate, and a pastry. All three items we ordered were delicious especially that thick chocolate drink. They offer live music in the evenings.

Yelp
On a short visit to Denali, this place was recommended. They did not disappoint! It's a casual counter service place with a good amount of seating. Great coffee, friendly service, healthy and delicious options in the menu. I highly recommend!

Yelp
Friendly service, cute place but the coffee tasted bitter. They have a nice cappuccino machine but it didn't help. Yuck!

Yelp
My family and I were walking around downtown Fairbanks and came across this shop. We decided to pick up an ice blended drink to enjoy. The interior feels very mom and pop, lots of handwritten signage, random plants around, a small stage for performances, baked goods in the case wrapped in plastic like a school bake sale. Seems like a place locals would come to hang out, but personally felt claustrophobic to me. Can't speak on the coffee since I didn't order it but the blended drink my kids got was ok.

Yelp
Quaint little shop with an old school feel. Service was good and coffee was maybe better than average.

Yelp
Super cute cafe! I didn't get to listen to the music, but it was nice to know eclectic little cafes like this exist in Fairbanks. I ordered a pumpkin pie latte which was fantastic given its fall and there's a chill in the air. Barista was super sweet!
google avatar

Alexander B.

Yelp
This is a nice coffee shop close to downtown Fairbanks. There's a live music stage inside as well (I've seen that at restaurants but not at coffee shops!) We got some pastries, coffee and tea. Overall, everything was good - I just wish the staff offered to heat up cold pastries a bit. Quick service, nice and clean shop. Worth stopping by!

Yelp
There wasn't a ton going on in Fairbanks when we arrived so we decided to grab a coffee. McCaffertys had some interesting specialty coffees on the menu but they were a bit on the sweet side. Anyway, the place was cute to hang out for a bit and worth a visit if you're in the area.

Yelp
Let's start with the positive. Mocha Breve very good. Now on to the balance of my experience.... Visiting town, looking for a place away from hotel where I can sit down, relax, have an espresso drink and a couple of shots of espresso. I Drive about town passing by a seemingly endless variety of drive up shops only to stumble upon what looks to be a truly an inviting place. My request to the barista was, and I quote, "May I have a Grande Mocha Breve and 2 shots of espresso on the side?" Barista: so you want a hot cocoa and the espresso on the side? Me: I would like to have a Grande Mocha Breve, however it is made and then on the side, a cup with two shots of plain espresso. Barista rings me up and presents credit card chit to sign. I looks at it and notice that I've not been charged for the double shot of espresso on the side. I ask the barista about the 2 shots of espresso and paying for them... Barista: so, you want your espresso on the side? Me: I dont know how that (Mocha Breve is made or how many shots of espresso is in it... id like it made the way it's made and then another cup, with two shots of espresso. Barista: looks confused, says something like oh my God Me: you know what, let's do this and keep it simple.... I'd like that (Mocha Breve Grande) in a to go cup and leave it at that. Frustrated, the barista makes my drink whilst I fill out the chit, leaving $2 on a $5.50 chit, sign and submit. Keeping in mind the above exchange, I takes the high road and say to the barista, and I quote "I am sorry if I am not being clear on my order." She doesn't acknowledge my attempt... I get my drink and walk out... miffed, frustrated and going to drink my tasty espresso drink in my dang car. In summary, I should have went to the first dang drive through espresso shop and had my drink in the car while exploring Fairbanks and saved the SPIKE in blood pressure and still not getting what I asked for and a lot less attitude, frustration and angst. Have changed my rating to 2-stars vice 3-stars while rereading this review. Bummer... a really welcoming and eclectic vibe here.

Yelp
A funky fun coffee bar in Fairbanks. We sought McCaffertys out because of a friends recommendation and McCafferty is out last name. We were impressed by the Mexican chocolate drink. It was thick and rich. I might want to try something different another time.
google avatar

Cam F.

Yelp
Nice chill atmosphere, pretty good prices and friendly barista. The coffee isn't amazing but is good.
google avatar

Brian W.

Yelp
Possibly incomplete review: cute enough but the hot chocolate wasn't anything special? The ingredients had promise, but looking at the rest of the menu I'm getting the vibe that maybe I got the one item here that isn't all that; seems likely that this place is more for a leisurely cup of coffee and maybe a bite to eat. Service was pretty quick and aside from one good-sized group, they were quiet when I visited mid-day; that may also affect the vibe.
google avatar

Herb L.

Yelp
Ordered dark roast and medium roast drip at opening. Both were good but medium was much better. Jalapeño bagel had a kick and was delicious. My son got the donut holes and he didn't like the chocolate covered ones. I tried it and it was okay. Service was adequate but nothing special. One lady was working the entire place and she did her job. I would come back and would recommend.

Malissia A.

Yelp
The lady that makes your coffee is very friendly and polite. I only buy white chocolate mochas. My kids like the fruit smoothies. Thank you for not serving alcohol. You guys are the best

Roasted Unroasted C.

Yelp
Roasted: finally found a coffee shop that we could sit in and enjoy our coffee in Fairbanks. This place is right downtown and is super cute. They have a few tables upstairs but have a downstairs to accommodate more seating. They do live music on the weekends so if you are into that - check it out. Place has a good vibe - music isn't too loud but you can enjoy a conversation easily. Good menu - food and bakery options and tons of flavor choices including sugar free flavors. They have sugar free almond which has become favorite. Baristas were very nice, again a theme here in Fairbanks. We were able to have our lattes in mugs and even though there was no latte art - my latte was delicious. Perfect temperature and the espresso was spot on. Milk was a bit bubbly for me but I still enjoyed the latte. I appreciate the focus on safety here with covid as masks are required and they have the tables set up to socially distance. Would visit again for sure. Unroasted: staff was extremely friendly like the other Alaska coffee shops. They had plenty of sugar free options which I was pleased to see. I ordered my usual and I would say it was a tad bit too sweet but the milk was perfectly steamed. I enjoyed my latte nonetheless and probably the best I have had here. I would recommend if you are in Fairbanks

Michelle S.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. We happened by this place while exploring the day n Fairbanks. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Maggie K.

Yelp
Cute shop but I was told by the barista no wifi. So not a place to work on anything online.
google avatar

Michele Marie F.

Yelp
Having a nice (LARGE) cup of coffee and a delicious slice of heated banana bread. The cashier was nice and informative and had our coffee and food in no time. This is not a large business but is cozy and has a little stage where there is occasionally live music. Looks to have soup and chili for afternoon and evening as well!

Louisa A.

Yelp
Very cute Coffee House! Delicious coffee and food! Very friendly personal! Thank you!

Sarah C.

Yelp
I have never experienced a ruder coffee shop. I was upset to be greeted not very friendly this morning at 10, whoever was working this shift at the fornt was gicinf Me dirty looks and I won't be coming back , sorry. fix your staff
google avatar

Kevin D.

Yelp
Excellent little coffee shop. Love the Mocha! The atmosphere is nice. I've never been there during live music so I cannot comment in that. The staff is always friendly and the wait is never very long. It is a convenient location downtown next to the kids museum. I go whenever I'm down that way.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a lovely place. We were visiting Fairbanks from NY and spent our last night there. The coffee wasn't the best but the coffee shop has such nice and cozy atmosphere. On that day, we happened to have a live band performing there. June, the female singer, offered us a game to play. We had to find all the pieces in the tube so that we could write our names on the wall! We tried our best but couldn't find our last piece. June was such a nice lady and she still let us write our names on the wall. We will definitely come back to this coffee shop if we're in Fairbanks again.

Claire S.

Yelp
I was looking for quiet coffee shop to work and decided to try somewhere new. Upon entering, the shop smelled smokey - like something had burnt. I should've left then. I ordered a small latte and a pastry. The service was hurried and unwelcoming, perhaps the barista was having a bad day. I sat down with my latte and computer to taste the worst latte I've ever had in Fairbanks and subsequently found out there's no WiFi available to customers. What a waste of my time and money. I ended up leaving without drinking my nasty latte. Other than the overwhelming burnt smell, the atmosphere is quiet and cozy. If the service, espresso or WiFi elements were corrected, maybe I'd be back. And that's a big maybe.

Monique G.

Yelp
I chose this coffee shop because I read some pretty good reviews about it and even told the barista that I read some good reviews. I wanted to work on some homework and ordered a pastry and a drink. I got dirty looks when I opened my computer and got told they didn't have wifi when it says that they do have wifi on google... I also asked if I could sit down, and they lady hesitantly said yes, then whispered to her co worker "I spoke too soon" I'm in Fairbanks for the summer and was disappointed by this experience. Didn't feel welcomed or comfortable at all.... If you want to go and grab coffee to leave, go.. defiantly don't go to relax and study!
google avatar

Ilya K.

Yelp
Great place, pretty much the only thing that was open around at 10PM on a beautiful summer evening. Nice welcoming atmosphere. They have a great selection of eclectic drinks, not only coffees. Try the pumpkin drink.
google avatar

Billy F.

Yelp
The pumpkin pie latte was pretty spectacular. My friend ordered it and I had a taste. The lady working there (who was very knowledgeable and friendly) said they cook down the pumpkin with spices. Wow, what coffee shop does that!? They serve it in an extra large ceramic mug. We dined in, so not sure how it is served to go. The consistency is thick, yet smooth and creamy. It literally tasted like pumpkin pie. My other friend ordered the egg nog latte and said it was very good. I had a regular drip coffee, which was good. We went on a Saturday night, and they were not too busy. There was free live entertainment, which was nice and unexpected. The lady playing the accordion was so sweet, and very good too. Great place. We will be back the next time we are in Fairbanks!
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
Open early on Sunday! Thank you! Just wanted a place to chill and have coffee. This was perfect. They have live music some nights that I'll want to check out. It's a pretty small place but some nice seating in the front window allows great people watching out on the street. Very friendly and helpful barista. Looking forward to the next visit.

Yelp
I love this place and on the weekends if your there extra late you get to wait some amazing several song filled hours later 11 out of 10 would recommend
google avatar

Thoa H.

Yelp
A warm and cozy coffee shop. I had the cheese and jalapeno bagel. Unfortunately, it wasn't anything special, just a regular grocery store bagel...maybe I should have gone for the soup. Keep in mind there is no wifi.
google avatar

Jenkins B.

Yelp
Great little local coffee shop that has a few breads and pastries. A short walk from the Westmark Hotel.
google avatar

Hilary S.

Yelp
Cute little place!! I got the pumpkin pie latte and it was tasty!! The husband got the spiced rum latte and that was quite nice as well. *Hilary from Texas*
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
Nice, quiet atmosphere. Friendly counter staff. Italian soda with ice cream a win, as well as the Pumpkin Pie Steamer. Beef Steak Noodle soup and chili a great choice. Definitely want to return to try all the other great looking options!
google avatar

Chinda W.

Yelp
Lovely service, delicious cafe breve, good band playing chill older covers. I would definitely return if I'm ever in Fairbanks again.

Lily L.

Yelp
very good coffee, baked goods were fine but cold- all around very good but i would recommend that they get a few more people per shift so they aren't alone- working alone as a barista sucks
google avatar

Tiffani B.

Yelp
I love that they don't charge for milk alternatives (I think it should be that way everywhere)- cool place for sure. We love going here
google avatar

Benjamin N.

Yelp
Their drip coffee is amazing. It's a little over $3 for a 20 oz. cup and worth every penny! What we had which I definitely recommend: Mexican Santa Fe -- medium roast Girl From Ipanema (GFI) -- dark roast
google avatar

Jacob C.

Yelp
As a Seattle native I did not know what to expect here in Fairbanks in terms of coffee. I came to this place with an open mind and boy was i impressed -- coffee was just delicious and there was plenty of baked treats to choose from. Coffee was full bodied with generous crema. They actually roast the beans in house so it was a supremely smooth taste. I thought it was gonna be instant coffee for me throughout my brief time here but now I know where I'm coming for my caffeine fix!
google avatar

Brian M.

Yelp
Tasty food, great espresso and live music. The owners are very sweet. Hopefully a Fairbanks long-stay.

Luis-Johannes S.

Yelp
Nice café to escape the -30F temperatures. The barista was welcoming, patient, and helpful + gave us great recommendations of other activities or things to see in Fairbanks. We ordered 2 cups of chili with an everything bagel, a cappuccino and pumpkin steamer - delicious!
google avatar

Brittany L.

Yelp
This is by far my favorite place to conduct small business meetings. It is intimate, quiet and the soup specials are fantastic! On the weekends, I love going to listen to their band, Sandcastle. The vibe is chill and it's a lovely way to kick off my days off.
google avatar

Keeley K.

Yelp
Great coffee, amazing soups and chowders. Fun environment in downtown Fairbanks. Only drawback, there is NO wifi.
google avatar

Melissa G.

Yelp
On our visit to Fairbanks we decided to walk around downtown and this was a nice place to stumble upon on a slightly chilly fall morning. The owner/barrista was on hand that morning and seemed excited to meet some tourists on what seemed to be a pretty slow day. She also was excited to learn that we had ditched our tour group in order to see a different side of Fairbanks that day and offered places to go on our own that we might enjoy. This place really took me back to some of the nicer coffee shops I would frequent in grad school. Slightly eclectic interior, but a nice quiet spot during the daylight hours to sit and read or to just have some time to yourself. There were 2 other couples there that day and they were pretty low key (unlike coffee shops in the lower 48). If I ever make it back to Fairbanks, I'll definitely be stopping off for some good coffee.
google avatar

Lard Belly E.

Yelp
Nice coffee shop with nice barrista, slightly eclectic interior.Coffee good. Try it out.
google avatar

TinaMarie B.

Yelp
Quaint little coffee shop but when I asked for the password, the barista said the owner never gives that out. Who does that?
google avatar

Sean K.

Yelp
My wife and I absolutely love this coffee shop, it is hands down our favorite. They roast their own coffee which honestly makes a huge difference not only in price but also in the quality of the coffee itself. Need something with more SHABANG than and standard good ole cup of coffee well hey have this little metal cabinet behind their register full of all sorts of interesting and tasty combinations tantalize your coffee drinking taste buds. Remember you can never go wrong with one of the Snickerdoodle cookies which are always soft and chewy!!! Enjoy this treasure of Downtown Fairbanks and great customer service is sure to greet you as you enter.

Stephanie J.

Yelp
Lovely coffee shop, very homey and warm. Great lemon cookies and hot chocolate. Enjoyed the conversation and company with the young lady who works there. A great afternoon warming spot and afternoon pick me up.

Amber N.

Yelp
Really no WiFi? In this day in age, it is expected (at least in downtown areas) that a coffee shop would have WiFi, especially in a college town with students looking for a quiet place to work. It should have been made clear they don't have it; the same way places that don't accept credit cards make it known. Coffee was super strong, plenty of tables and plugs and the place was cute and quiet. I would return, but not if I can't get online. If I had known ahead of time I couldn't get any work done, I wouldn't have walked a half mile and spent my money.
google avatar

Jenn C.

Yelp
Location is great, not a big fan in the interior or the atmosphere, latte I ordered was ok but a bit underwhelming. Nothing bad, just nothing to make me come back.
