McCollum's Restaurant and Bar

Went before Christmas for the first time- this place is awesome! And it was busy but the bartender was welcoming, fast and efficient. Great beverages, yummy and innovative eggrolls, and we can’t wait to come back for a full dinner! Thank you!

I just ordered for pickup but I'll have to go back. Friendly staff, delicious food, and the building/bar looks fantastic. I went with the wagyu burger and the jalapeño egg rolls for this first time. Hopefully I can try everything else and have these again soon! They continue to impress with their food quality and professional staff. I can't remember the last time I was not confronted with tipping regardless where or what the circumstances. The kind server here nearly swiped past the option without a seconds thought being a to-go order and making rhe determination it was not necessary to ask. I had to tip something at that point just out of respect for such a move. Thank you McCollums and ataff!

Impromptu date night and McCollums did not disappoint! From the moment we walked in the vibes were ON POINT. We were able to eat on the outdoor patio and absolutely loved the vibes out there too. Lots of people enjoying the patio and their fire pit. We ate the pork chops and chicken, both were amazing but my favorite was the raspberry chicken. The red potatoes and asparagus were cooked to perfection and a great touch to our dinner. Portion sizes were also good. Our server was super sweet and attentive. We really enjoyed our experience and we will be back!

I had the pecan salmon it was very flaky, the pecans and sauce gave it the right amount of sweetness. My friend had the Waygu Burger said it was the best burger they've ever had. Both meals were exceptional! We also got the jalapeno egg rolls the dipping sauce was so good. The waitress was amazing. This place is beautiful inside and out.

Such an enjoyable dining experience! The menu was great, with a nice variety of delicious food and creative drinks. We had to wait a bit for a table, but the outdoor space made it pleasant—with picnic tables, fire pits, and a lovely creek setting. This place has really invested in making itself a go-to destination in downtown Buchanan. There is downtown street construction right now, but definitely worth the visit!

Couldn't have had a better experience. Christina and Mike behind the bar absolutely killed it. This place is exactly what Buchanan has been missing this whole time. Come on down, have a drink, and make some of the best friends you could ask for The Wagyu burger is an absolute 10/10 and you cant ask for better egg rolls

Went to McCollum’s Saturday night with a party of 3. Started with the jalapeño popper Eggrolls, which were delicious. They were served with a a raspberry sauce on the side that enhanced the flavor and balanced out the spicy with some sweetness and the gooey cheese with a little acid. My husband had the chicken piccata and ate every bite. My bff and I both had the strawberry Parmesan salad, and she added grilled chicken to hers. I paired mine with the Cajun spice rubbed chicken wings. I think they may be the best wings I’ve ever had, and are certainly in the very top tier. Crispy without being greasy and excellent seasoning that I paired with blue cheese, which was so tasty. Our server was great - very skillful. The only category I think could use any improvement was the decor. It was not as unique and impressive as the food - very basic tables and chairs, though comfortable. I believe they’re pretty new, so maybe the decor will match the impressive menu and service with a bit more time. I would happily go back, and I will not share my leftover wings with anyone. 😂

Beautiful venue and location on the creek. Ordered the Wagyu Burger. It was completely raw. They were too busy to send back to kitchen. I completey understand the challenges of a brand new restaurant. I was more disappointed by the attitude of management and that it took several months to get a refund.

The Grant - I'm writing this review while sitting in front of my peaceful waterfront view, with a charming park just beyond--part of me wants to keep this hidden gem all to myself. The hotel, which is part of an already incredible restaurant, is absolute perfection. While the staff are still getting used to the hotel side of things, don't let that fool you--they're incredibly kind, attentive, and eager to help. The food and drinks are not only delicious but also fairly priced for the quality. And I haven't even begun to gush about how quaint and lovely the town is--it's the kind of place that quietly steals your heart.

Note that they do not do entrees on Sunday, so we went with the Wagyu burger. It was delicious and paired well with Bells Two hearted. After dinner we sat outside at the fire pit which was nice on a fall evening.

A great new spot in town ,definitely worth a visit! The outdoor seating by the creek is lovely and relaxing. I tried the raspberry chicken, which was perfectly crisp with just the right sweet and savory balance. Service was excellent, everything arrived quickly, and the prices were very reasonable. I'm already looking forward to coming back to try the Pecan Salmon next time!

I continue to find more and more I love every time we come to McCollum's. Drinks are always a 10/10, food specials are never lacking. I HAD to try the wagyu burger tonight and was not disappointed in the least. Truly underrated item is the cranberry whipped goat cheese appetizer. We were practically licking the bowl clean. Our server Lindsey was attentive and built great rapport with us. What a wonderful addition to the area.

Absolutely fantastic food, time after time, well made, real food, hand-made, large portions, hats-off to the chef, tonight i had Caesar Salad with Grilled Salmon Fillet; i'm a restaurateur myself, and it's the best one I've ever had anywhere - from the mix of sophisticated greens with different flavors and textures, to the perfectly grilled approx 6 oz cooked weight salmon fillet, and a nice Cab at a very good price. We're weekly diners and have gladly worked through the menu. Great value prices for the quality of the food, drink, atmosphere and service.

The food was delicious! Even short staffed the service was great. Definitely be back for dinner sometime when it's a little cooler out and can sit next to the creek!
