Get These 10 Birthday Freebies in San Francisco | Eater SF

"It’s perhaps one of the more complicated birthday freebies on this list, but it is also one of the most rewarding. Dig into the FAQs for all the details, but the basic gist of it is that customers pay $25 for membership (there’s no annual fee), and then receive both a $25 welcome reward and a $25 birthday reward for their efforts. Redeem them at any Landry’s Select Club restaurant, including Morton’s, Bubba Gump, Skates in Berkeley, and McCormick and Kuleto’s at Ghirardelli Square." - Dianne de Guzman

McCormick & Kuleto's Seafood & Steaks, located in Ghirardelli Square, offers a great Happy Hour in the Fisherman’s Wharf area. The restaurant has stunning views of San Francisco Bay, making it a wonderful dining place. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a well-designed bar where you can relax. The friendly bartenders enhance the experience. Happy Hour is from Monday to Friday, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and it is perfect for winding down after work. The Happy Hour menu features tasty options like the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl, which is full of fresh flavors, and Kuleto’s Cheeseburger, which is always juicy and satisfying. You should also try the Calamari "Fritto Misto" or the rich Black Truffle Fries as great snacks with your drinks. If you look at the regular menu, don’t miss the Anchor Steam Fish & Chips. It’s well-made and goes well with many drinks, making it a good choice for seafood lovers. When my friends and I visit, we start with a round of draft beer, usually enjoying the refreshing Fort Point KSA Kolsch Style Ale. We always order a big plate of crispy fries that are hard to resist. Depending on the night, we might stick with the Happy Hour menu or switch to the regular menu for a bigger meal. The beautiful views of the San Francisco Bay always impress us, and someone in our group usually comments on how lovely it is. In short, McCormick & Kuleto's Seafood & Steaks is not just a restaurant; it’s a place where you can enjoy delicious food and excellent service, all while taking in the fantastic views of one of the most beautiful cities. Whether you want a casual drink after work or a memorable meal, put this place on your list!

We had a wonderful experience celebrating a special dinner at the Dolphin Room at McCormick & Kuleto’s in San Francisco on April 25, 2025. The view was absolutely incredible! The room was nice and clean. The service was attentive and friendly, and the food was very good. Unfortunately, we do not remember the names of the staff members who helped us that evening, April 25, but we are grateful for their excellent service and warm hospitality. We highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy a special occasion with great service, food, and unforgettable views.

Appetizers were so delicious. I enjoyed the entire dinner immensely. The pasta wasn’t that exciting but the view of the sun setting on the Bay made the experience magical. And appreciated the beautiful service of Caesar!

The restaurant has such beautiful, serene views from your table. The staff was attentive. The food was fresh from the oysters, fish & clam chowder. The steak perfectly seared. I highly recommend eating here if you're at the Ghirardelli square.

I should’ve done some research before coming here so I give them the benefit of the doubt. My group ended the day at Ghirardelli square after walking around the city for hours and we were all craving clam chowder in a bread bowl. We were too tired to walk anywhere else so we decided to just try it here, despite it being more expensive than the ones at the pier. We weren’t dressed very formally but we weren’t dressed poorly either but it still felt like somewhere we weren’t supposed to be. We were really disappointed when they told us the bread bowls were only for lunch time, along with a few other items that were only displayed on the menu outside. We knew it was a mistake to only come here for soup because of the slight pressure we felt to order more from our server, I understand why but, it made us a bit uncomfortable after we already declined. They were still very friendly and not rude at all, we could just tell it felt like we were wasting their time and seemed disappointed. The soup was still delicious, the clams were perfectly cooked. We ended up trying some oysters that were also great, they came with a flavored ice which was really unique. The room was nice and cozy with a decent view but this isn’t the spot I would recommend to just anybody. Also the music did not fit the fancy atmosphere at all.

Celiacs beware: yummy but gut wrenching food. I could not get a straight story from the waitress or the chef. Illness was Swift and furious. Be very careful and insist that they separate, especially that they don't cook anything in the fryer. They seem A couple steps above clueless. It's a pity because the food was tasty. The service was okay. Maybe not as informed as it could have been but, friendly and helpful and good-natured. The views are spectacular and a cloudy Sunset always makes for views that look like something painted by a Dutch Master. Restroom had no toilet paper or paper towels and I had to leave a 90 something-year-old standing waiting while I ran to the bartender who couldn't care less and deflected me to the front desk which was down a level. I had to call down to her and ask her to please come up. The hostess was very kind and came running to try and find some paper products. At a place with these prices that should never be. They need to be more on top of their game. They were warm and friendly and welcoming, which we really appreciate it. But if you're going to invite someone over, you need to have the place ready. People with allergies need to be extremely careful. To pay all that money and to lose the meal right after is a complete waste. It is sad. They need to do a better job with kitchen staff. Education from the top down. Servers need far far better info about the allergy and that even when Foods just touch a person can get ill. Other five star restaurants, even four stars that are careful we have no problem with. It's just a matter of them being more aware and intentional. Parking was easy underneath.. this is a very difficult place for the elderly as it's multi-level and set on a steep hill. The nice solution is parking in the lot and taking the elevator to the front door of the restaurant. They do have a handicap half elevator inside the restaurant to make up for the distance between levels. It was a fun experience and very tasty. We wish the wait staff had been more honest about how big heavy and filling the desserts were because we ended up wishing we had split. So if you've had a full meal, just split something. The restaurant has two really nice private rooms which are great for board meetings, family anniversaries and birthdays, etc. The one on the lower level is brighter and cheerier with a view. Except for getting so ill on the food. I was wishing for a big family party to fill that beautiful room.

They should staff another bartender to help out - the bartender is great but handling way too many orders. Nice ambience and food. Would like to see more inventive cocktail options and more local beers.

I've come here with my family many times. Food is solid, nothing amazing, but everything is good. Service is usually attentive and professional, but depends on your server. Great view and ambience. Highly recommended for people visiting San Francisco and wanting to enjoy some good seafood by the bay.

Yelp
I've visited this place twice within the past 3 weeks and was pleased each visit! The service is great, I had a different server each time and both were great with menu recommendations and overall table service. The food & views were equally amazing! The first visit my husband and I shared the 20oz steak, mashed potatoes, asparagus & Brussel sprouts, which was very good and filling. We each ordered an appetizer; clam chowder & crab cake-both were amazing. The second time my sisters & I shared everything (we had a tasting party lol)! For appetizers we went with crab cake (again), lobster dip & scallop/shrimp. We all agreed we loved the starters. We then had shrimp scampi, crab stuffed salmon & brussel sprouts. Again we loved the main dishes although the shrimp scampi was on the bland side, a little salt and it was better. I have never tried the desert because I love to walk over to Giaradelli and get ice cream or chocolate! This has become a favorite to add to my list of "Go To" places.

Yelp
PROS Amazing views of the bay. Comfortable, large table for 4 people. Pretty venue. Wonderful Blue Bay Gem salad. CONS The seafood tower at $138 was way over-priced in my opinion (but the included 1/2 lobster tails and jumbo shrimp were very good). The worst oysters I have ever eaten. Service: failed to remove dirty plates within a reasonable time. And had to ask for a clean plate for our shared dinner appetizer. I will not return, but instead try other local restaurants.

Yelp
Chose this place because of the view of the Bay and the name of the restaurant. Figured you can't go wrong with McCormick, it's part of Landrys group and it's not cheap. Our dinner started off well with the waitress bringing out our drinks and cocktails. I had the Raspberry Mojito and it was very tasty. The complimentary bread was warm and so delicious, we had to order a second batch to go along with the clam Chowder and Lobster Bisque we had since it didn't include any. They we're both alright, note that the clam chowder has bacon bits. We ordered the fried calamari and shrimp, not to impressed. The calamari was not crispy and shrimp I may have seen two small ones. We ordered our meals at the same time we ordered the appetizers but it must have taken almost 30 minutes for the food to finally come out. The halibut dish was recommended to me, it was pretty salty, not worth the price. The stuffed salmon my daughter ordered and was so much better. The shrimp scampi was actually much better than either of the fish and the cost was less. I ordered a cocktail featured on the menu with an egg white foam on it. I waited my entire meal for it and it wasn't until I was done with dinner that they came to ask me if I wanted another drink. When I finally received it, the blackberry on it was moldy and the drink tasted like Robitussin. It was gross! We were brought the dessert menu and was planning to order when suddenly an Asian woman maybe the manager approached us and said there was a 2 hour time limit and I should not look at dessert. With her was two other staff members ready to clean up my table. My daughter was in the restroom so when they tried to pick up her drink I had to tell them she wasn't done yet. They placed it back and I was given a dirty look. They stood in close proximity just watching us. They mumbled in Spanish that I did not allow to clean up my table and other stuff. Little did they know I could understand them. They made us all feel so uncomfortable. When the waitress finally returned to take my order for dessert, I told her I wasn't ordering anymore since we were rudely told my time was up. She looked surprised but just provided me the check without hesitation. We wouldn't of been there a long time had they not taken so long to bring out our dishes. I couldn't wait to pay and leave at that point, not only did I pay for an expensive bad dinner and ambiance but they also added a health fee to my bill that was never mentioned .I would not recommend this place and will never return.

Yelp
I've been coming here with family on special occasions for years. The food and service never disappoint. Great ambiance with a beautiful view overlooking the ocean.

Yelp
While visiting San Francisco, we made it a point to sample some of the city's renowned seafood offerings. After researching our options, we chose to dine at a restaurant known for its elegant ambiance and stunning views of the Bay. The staff, from the hosts to the waiter, were friendly and accommodating. The waiter provided helpful recommendations from the menu, particularly assisting us in selecting a variety of oysters with delicious accompanying sauces, such as the pomegranate mignonette. The Caesar salad was decent, although not particularly memorable. The jumbo prawns were flavorful and satisfying, while the octopus fell short of expectations, possibly due to overcooking. Despite this minor disappointment, the overall experience was enjoyable, with the highlight being the exceptional oysters and breathtaking scenery.

Yelp
I usually avoid Ghirardelli square at all costs but I see the appeal of coming here especially on a nice day where this restaurant offers great views of the SF bay. I stopped by this restaurant for dinner on Wednesday and was able to do a walk in without a reservation needed. McCormick & Kuleto's is a seafood/steakhouse and the one thing that stood out on the menu was the Cioppino! This Is a well known SF dish and whether you are visiting or a local, this one was super delicious and I highly recommend! This tomato based stew is jammed packed with crab, prawns, clams and mussels. It comes with sourdough bread (seemed frozen?) and a bib. Its truly an experience to eat. If you are looking for a fine dining experience you will be disappointed. The food can be a hit or miss which may not be worth the trip over here for some. The prices are on the higher end based on the ambiance and view. I would still come by again for the cioppino! If you love my food reviews, you won't want to miss my hand picked selections on my San Francisco Food Guide: https://www.thatch.co/guide/2wvy4127jj86e/view?s=Ub4baw7kAgWP41IcYrZ6an3xEVp2&s_f=e&s_t=ios_share&s_b=n

Yelp
This place was beautiful the view of fisherman's wharf was truly amazing. This was a great place to have my grad ceremony dinner. We had reserved an advanced. Our server was very kind, friendly and helpful with our questions. The drinks were fabulous and the courses superb. The kids meal was a great size (bento box). I'm definitely going to come back.

Yelp
Don't go there. Terrible place. We had confirmated reservations for dinner on Open Table for 9pm and we showed up at 9pm sharp and they told us the restaurant was closed and told us to beat it. Unbelievable. Thought something was wrong so we asked them why would they accept reservations for 9pm if they shut their doors at 9pm, they said don't care. The attitude was horrible, the guy (manager) was super rude and we will never go there again.

Yelp
What a beautiful experience! The restaurant is so impeccably designed that before we even sat down at the table, the winding staircase up to the second level of dining, took my breath away!! My husband and I were there for a birthday dinner with very close friends, and upon entering the restaurant we were greeted warmly by the front of house staff. After snapping a few pics we were escorted to our VIP table. The views from the table, although at night, was just as grand as the restaurant itself. The food and service of our waiter Paul made this first time dining experience a memorable one! We ordered a few shareable dishes and delicious main courses worth a letter home to mama! From the crab dip and clam chowder to the Mouthwatering steak and stuffed salmon, this place is a showstopper!

Yelp
I had some time to kill so I stopped in for lunch at the bar...a great decision. The bar setting was beautiful, the bartender was friendly, and the Louie Salad was quite simple the BEST I had ever had!

Yelp
Our food was served pretty fast, this is where my uncle works at. He was awesome as a server on the 4th, thanks for the great steamed clams, whether or not I was gonna get it. I woulda got the muscles if they didn't have clams. They other staff were friendly too.

Yelp
In all honesty, you're paying for the ambiance and view. I thought I'd give this fine dining a try even after I saw the 3 star review, and now I understand why. The food was mediocre, and sadly, I have to admit that CPK provides a better steak, and I actually had the filet mignon here. Also, be aware there's a special Health Fee they assess. We paid about $13 on top of the taxes.

Yelp
We enjoyed a good lunch this last Sunday afternoon, the 28th of April. Food was mostly good. I started with the lobster bisque and my mother in law the clam chowder. They do a good job on these. For entrees my wife enjoyed the miso Chilean sea bass, and her mother and our niece each enjoyed an 8oz. lobster tail. I was a bit disappointed in my filet Mignon, for it was undercooked some from the requested medium rare. As well, the quality of the cut was not particularly great. We shared a side of the loaded potatoes. These were okay, but were remarkably bland even considering all the ingredients. Service was attentive and friendly. View was beautifully scenic from our front window table.

Yelp
I don't know why I gave four stars and not five! It warranted five stars. My mistake.

Yelp
I came here for lunch and enjoyed sitting at a table with the view of the bay. I liked the classic, traditional, and cozy feeling of the restaurant. Since I didn't make a reservation, I sat on the upper portion of the restaurant. If you make a reservation, you get to sit on the lower portion of the restaurant, so that your view of the bay isn't blocked by the handrail. However, all seats at this restaurant are pretty good, because no matter where you sit, you get to face the window. Food wise, our waiter was very helpful and suggested that we get the salmon club sandwich. It was a great choice and tasted good.

Yelp
Forgive me, this should have been reviewed in January 2024. We were for here for a casual date night dinner. We were a bit early and the lovely hostess was able to seat us early. Ambiance 5 stars - GORGEOUS views of the water and the wharf and the city life in general. The inside of the establishment was pristine! Quiet and romantic enough for two people to feel alone yet strategically placed where you still felt like part of the crowd. The crowd seemed to be business partners, colleagues, a few folks on date night and some just straggling in for a few after work beverages at the bar. Service 5 stars - very attentive! Our server was well versed in the offerings, knew his wine list and most importantly made excellent suggestions! Food I would say 4 stars - everything was delicious! I only say 4 stars because I was wayyyyyy too full to try dessert! Thats being saved for next time! And yes, there will be a next time.

Yelp
Going out or returning from a walkabout, and feeling thirsty? This place has one of the best kept views on Ghirardelli Square overlooking the Aquaric Cove and San Francisco Bay!! The bartender crafted a phenomenal Experiental Smoked Old Fashion, and it was an amazing experience to not only observe and smell, but smoothly drink and enjoy. If you're out for a drink or out to dinner, highly recommend coming here to enjoy your time and the view!

Yelp
Great place to host a holiday party. In the Dolphin Room, there was an open bar, live band, waitresses that roamed around with appetizers and then a 3 course sit down meal. Each round table seated 8 people. Everything tasted amazing and the portions were huge. We even got lucky with finding free parking 3 blocks away on a Saturday night. This was the menu:   1 Center Cut Filet Mingon (Prepared Medium) 8oz. | Roasted Vegetables | M&S Steak Butter | Mashed Potatoes 2 Herb Marinated Grilled Chicken Breast | Salsa Verde | Mashed Potatoes | Chef's Seasonal Vegetables 3 Cedar Roasted Atlantic Salmon | Lemon Butter | Mashed Potatoes | Chef's Seasonal Vegetables 4 Blackened Cauliflower Steak (Vegetarian) | Cauliflower Puree | Toasted Almonds | Roasted Heirloom Carrots | Pickled Lip Stick Peppers | Salsa Verde | Lemon Zest   Dessert Selections 1 Chef's Seasonal Cheesecake 2 Crème Brulee | Fresh Berries

Yelp
Having Thanksgiving dinner at McCormick's for the second year in a row. Lovely atmosphere and the view is absolutely stunning. There are two menus on this particular day, one is for the thanksgiving meal, and the other is the regular McCormick's dinner menu. I'm glad the regular menu is available because I've had dental work done a few days ago (temporary crowns) and so I wouldn't be able to eat what's on the specialty thanksgiving menu. Our server, Lisa, was amazing! Attentive, kind, informative, friendly, and obviously well-seasoned with taking care of large parties for dinner! Couldn't have hoped for better service from the wait staff! Lisa was the absolute best! I love McCormick's and I hope to be here on Thanksgiving next year!

Yelp
We went to Bay area last sunday to check out some furniture sofa we like. It was near the Ghirardelli square and we had our reservation here. The place is like a fine dine in restaurant. I love the view. They gave us a good spot for our reservation. We ordered crab cake for appetizer which is their best seller. Love the Clam chowder because it not too salty. And of course for the main entree, steak and seafood pasta. We were shocked with the pasta since it has a lot of serving and great amount of seafood. The price is understandable since the place, view and the food is great. They even gave us a complementary bread to start with. Little bit too slow in serving the food. Overall, its great and we definitely come back again.

Yelp
AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE! 5 STARS! I was briefly in San Francisco for a job, and decided to try out this restaurant. It's conveniently located on the Fisherman's Wharf, and offers a classy, upscale ambiance with a breathtaking view of the water. The service was A1. Although I dined alone, I felt very engaged with my server, who checked in on me frequently and gave amazing recommendations. I had the Dungeness Crab Cake to start, and it was delicious! The basil aoili was a lovely surprise, and the crabcakes were fresh and plump! For my entree, I had twin lobster tails with herbed mashed potatoes. Every bite was delectable, and the lobster was perfectly cooked! As a seafood lover, this meal ticked all of my critic boxes. I absolutely recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
First time here for lunch on rainny day in SF. After my friend told me that we were going to have lunch here I checked the reviews on Yelp after reading a couple bad reviews I had no expectations at all. I checked the menu before coming so I knew the kind of questions to ask. The place was very empty on that day so the Ambience was in the quiet side a couple of people at the restaurant but not crowded at all. Aaron was out server who I thought very attentive and suggested La Crema pinot noir was on a special, that made our life easy and yes La cream is a very easy to drink pinot noir great for lunch more medium body, we enjoyed it very much . We shared the beet salad whitch was well prepared very fresh and nice decoration. Actually Aaron forgot to take our main dish orders after he serve out wine and Salad but we didnt think it was a big deal since we weren't in a rush and the view was beautiful, once he put the order in the food come very fast and was well presented and we were on the right track. I had the zabuton steak frite my first time heard of Zabuton, very tender and juicy, Aaron actually didn't asked how I like my steak cooked but it come out medium rare ! Just perfect for my likings. My fried had the sea scallops which I didnt hear any complaint. Then I asked my friend to ordered a desert to share , I am not quiet sure what its called but its backed mix berrie so it was warm just come out of the oven and had a smooth lightly crispy crust topped with vanilla ice cream, I really liked that desert perfect for a rainny day in SF, I made sure there was no leftovers on the desert. I had a great time here, the place is clean, good view, parking under the building , downside is they give you parking voucheer but doesnt cover the entire price I still have to pay $14 for parking . Overall we had a great time good lunch good food and attentive server.

Yelp
I think a cruise ship kitchen would have done better than this mass-produced kitchen. The filet is mushy and cooked medium (no other option). The crabmeat stuffed shrimp is fishy and stale. Brussel sprouts cooked beyond recognition. Lobster bisque is salty and has no lobster bits. The desserts are massed produced and premade in advance and it was the best part of dinner. The service is "amateur and unprofessional". We waited for so long for the check, and we heard the waitstaff's personal conversations loudly many times.

Yelp
My family (11) walked in for dinner on a weekend night and were able to get seated in 10 minutes. The staff was friendly and our main server made some great recommendations. Even when one of the kids got sick, the staff was nice about helping us clean up and didn't give us a hard time. We spent about $700 for all the food and drinks for the table including taxes and tip. Everyone enjoyed their food and some of my favorites were the octopus and scallops. It's a nicer place with a more expensive menu and was a great option for a family gathering.

Yelp
Went back to this place, as I was back in SF for work, the food was still delicious, but I was surprised their salmon is FARMED! I was so looking forward to the salmon, but I couldn't eat farmed fish. I did get a lovely seat right by the big bay windows, what a lovely experience. Their salads are delicious and I do love their clam chowder.

Yelp
Beautiful view- a real scene stealer along the water and wide windows. Solid traditional SF fare that's good for business lunches/ dinners. Validated parking at 50% off, and some vegetarian entree - the golden roasted beet that was cooked like a steak was quite good in texture on a bed of various greens. Great service too

Yelp
Great view and amazing service. But its very expensive and there's a crazy homeless guy outside so watch out.

Yelp
View beautiful Service was ok, but sealed roughly 30min to place our order.... And not as attentive as should have been. Very lack luster overall experience....was disappointing, since I have used this restaurant for parties on multiple occasions. Food biggest disappointment. Kitchen wasn't batting it's best. ..... Plates at the table: Lobster bisque Crab and artichoke dip - Delicious Stuffed salmon Scallops

Yelp
Sat at the bar with my wife for light bites and a couple of drinks. The restaurant ambiance has to be among the best in the City, since it's recently renovated and has a wall of windows that look out at the beautiful bay. The Ahi Tuna Poke and Calamari were delicious, so good that we wanted to try something else so we got the burger which was also excellent. The bar staff were nice but they definitely need to work on time management and customer awareness. They took care of us just fine but I watched several other parties wait an unreasonable amount of time for drinks, food, order to be taken or serviced in another way.

Yelp
Thanksgiving 2023 I've been here several times , in a word I would describe this place as solid with a view. They had a special for Thanksgiving which I chose. I prefer the buffet style as in past years, I really missed the casserole with the cornflake topping. Also it was disappointing that dessert was not included in the Thanksgiving special... it's a given pumpkin pie is included right? We all still had a lovely time, the food was delicious the service excellent, my drink awesome and the view of course spectacular.

Yelp
Not sure where to start. Came in around 3:30 on Fourth of July as a solo diner at the bar. Sat down. The bartender gave me a menu and I didn't see or speak to him for about 25min after that. There was another solo dinner to the right of me saying it took him FOREVER to get his drink order in so I should expect a wait. A couple walked in and sat to the left of me. After about 20min of waiting without any service they left. Another couple walked in and left as well after no one greeted them. You guys are loosing customers, which is money. I understand it's a holiday, staffing a restaurant is rough, but jeez. I felt bad for the bartender running around from behind the bar service and taking orders from tables and breaking a sweat. While 3 people at the host stand and servers are on their cell phone. Where is the manager to help this guy get his patrons served? Clam chowder was alright and Caesar dressing needed flavor. Lacking salt and acidity. Anyways, I do not recommend this place. Shame, because the view is so pretty. For those of us who roughed it out, had a good laugh about it and all agreed the service was severely lacking. Now we know.

Yelp
We hosted an annual retreat in their Dolphin Room last October. The staff was so wonderful, food was great, and we had a bartender who was delightful. Definitely will come back!

Had a craving for some surf and turf. Ordered the twin grilled lobster tails and filet mignon. Both were very tasty, but the filet mignon was very, very small. It was definitely not worth the price. The side of mash potatoes were very bland. Could use some garlic or butter. For desert l, we had the chocolate mouse pie and upside-down apple pie. The chocolate was very smooth, dense, and rich. The apple pie was very good. Service was very good, so it made up for small piece of meat and bland mash potatoes. I would come back but will not be ordering the filet mignon again.

Yelp
My family and I had a delightful dinner at M&K's. My mother got the prime rib, while my wife got the Cioppino and I indulged in the twin tails lobster and mash potatoes. For an appetizer we ordered the artichoke crab dip. Between the three of us we polished everything off with relish. The steak was juicy and well balanced with fat and lean meat. The lobster tails were fat and steamed well, delicious with butter. The crab dip and crackers was super flavorful. The service was prompt, friendly, and helpful. For desert, the cheesecake won our hearts over the chocolate mousse. Both were delicious, however that mousse was very dense! If you like dense mousse you will love it. We enjoyed it but preferred the lighter texture of cheesecake. Five starts for excellent food, beautiful ambience overlooking the bay, and great service. Thank you McCormicks!

Yelp
I visited this location with my mama in law and wife on Tuesday. We came for an early dinner around 430. This was the perfect time because we had the whole place to ourselves. We were seated by the windows facing the bay, and enjoyed the beauty throughout our entire meal. The service was great! Our server was helpful in selecting our drinks and dishes, as well as making sure we were doing well throughout our meal. We shared an appetizer of Lobster & crab dip. This came out warm and very creamy. I enjoyed the Cioppino, it was full of delicious seafood. The sauce was excellent to soak up with the crusty, sourdough bread brought to the table. We also shared two desserts, the Seasonal Cheesecake & Chocolate silk pie. They were like night and day, but were both so good! If you have family or friends visiting from elsewhere, take them on a walk through fisherman's wharf, check out Ghiradelli's, & have a meal at McCormick & Kuletos!

Yelp
Came here to celebrate my husband's birthday during our SF weekend- made reservations online and was promptly seated. The view is super nice with large windows and can easily see the boats and Alcatraz. Tables are spaced out and most people were dressed casual so did not feel bad bringing our kids. We got a special menu that said happy birthday and a complimentary dessert with a candle (creme brûlée or cheese cake). We ordered the calamari appetizer and it was a large plate great for sharing as well as some oysters. For entrees, we got the stuffed salmon special and the striped bass special which were both tasty and portions were large. I normally shy away from fish but this one was bit fishy at all. The kids ordered off the kids meal- the chicken tender were a little over done and dark but the kids cheeseburger was huge and juicy- could have easily fed a grown up. There is also complimentary bread basket with sour dough bread that is warm and whipped butter- very good. Made for a nice tasty meal and we left super full. You can buy gift cards on Costco.com that can help make the meal more affordable. Just be aware that there is a service fee as well as tax and then tip in case you are budget conscious.

Yelp
Only impressive thing about it is the real estate Food doesn't live up to the price or atmosphere, and absent waitstaff. Needs a revival. Dead San Francisco. This is what happened to the cliff house. Treated as though we didn't belong.

Yelp
We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary,!! Food was okay, needs more flavor!! Clam Chowder was good though!! Shirley temple was water down... But the crème brûlée was great... The nice part was that we had an amazing view!!! Server was not as great!! We waited too long every time we needed something... They didn't even give us a complimentary bread until we asked when we saw them serve it to the other table... So overall experience it was alright!!! We traveled almost 2 hours to eat here on our special occasion and wasn't pleased at all!!

Yelp
I can not say enough about how amazing this restaurant is. It has it all. The views are spectacular. Whether you love the harbor or love to people watch, you are covered. You can watch the cable cars come and go and the ferry's cross back and forth. The food is not only delicious to the palate, the presentation is as fabulous as the views. The staff is courteous and friendly and it is very clean. Posh Posh the elegant life for me! The ambiance is priceless but the menu is reasonable. YOU WILL ENJOY! Ask for Rhonda...best bartender EVER!

Yelp
I thought this place had an amazing location. That's all it had. Had my wife's Birthday dinner here and it all went wrong from when the main food started coming out. Ordered ribeye, shrimp scampi, calamari, 2x children's cheeseburgers and some sides. Food all came out and steak was overcooked. Had it remade, then came back raw. 3rd time was ok but didn't want to say anything after the 3rd try. Kids burgers came out hard as a rock. Bread was over toasted and meat was dry. Had one of them remade and still kind of the same. So I just kept it. All the dishes came back all different times, so we pretty much didn't even eat together. The waiter was very friendly and that was the only good thing. I complained to him but was too shy to return the items, so I paid for everything. Almost $300 I didn't want to make a scene at the restaurant for how upset I was that my dinner was ruined. So I called right away to talk to the manager on the phone instead and the receptionist said they were too busy to take a call. So she took my name and number and said they will call me back. No call and now the restaurant is closed. Can't understand how a place this nice would be like this.

Yelp
12/20/2023 food Ostar service 4 star out of 5 ambience 2 stars my uncle & I have been coming here for a decade and the expensive food was too salty. ambience has more to do with location than the loud dining hall. will not repeat

Yelp
After a lot of back and forth: took a little over two months the corporate office finally made things up to me. I left Jennifer, the manager at the SF restaurant three messages after she left me a message. She didn't reply to my three messages returning her message. I shouldn't have to try so hard to get a hold of her, but grateful to the corporate office for doing the right thing.

Yelp
I once again visited McCormick in 2022 and 2023 and had a great time! It might have even gotten quieter both outside and inside the restaurant and I like it very much! Will continue my tradition of visiting this place every year as long as it stays open.

Yelp
Glen is a great server, attentive and got us $50 in Landry's points off our bill. We overate for sure, the fish was delicious and food well seasoned. Our son likes steak and he said he wanted more seasoning on the filet or a sauce on his steak. We took some food home. Will be back !

Yelp
My Wife and I came to San Francisco to celebrate our anniversary. We were very excited to try this restaurant because it was highly recommended by the locals as a must try while in San Francisco. As we arrived, the greeter asked us if we had reservations and we kindly said no. The greeter said we will see if we can make exceptions, so we waited close to 15-minutes outside in the freezing cold. The greeter let us know that they're going to make an exception for us and let us dine in, which we were super excited about and Keep in mind this restaurant was pretty empty around dinner time, which came as a shock to us as we entered the restaurant. As the greeter walked us over to our table, I looked over across the restaurant and couldn't help notice how gorgeous the ambiance was at night time. I also noticed that there were two other parties sitting across from us, which looked like they were having the time of their lives, which My Wife and I were happy to see, and were hoping for the same experience. We waited roughly 20-minutes for our waiter to acknowledge us and finally one did come over and asked how we were doing. We simply responded with we are excited to be here, but the waiter looked annoyed for some reason and said I'll be back, not even asking us if we would like refreshments to start. This was very unusual, so we gave the waiter the benefit of the doubt, but made us wait an additional 15-minutes. We noticed that our waiter was gone and that's when another waiter came over to let us know that our waiter had left for the day. So we were very upset to hear this. I felt sorry for my pregnant wife because she was very hungry and I wasn't about to let this establishment ruin our anniversary, so we got up and left to Ghirardelli. This restaurant needs to do better.
