McCoy Creek Tavern

The service and food were excellent.The staff was very friendly. I had the perch dinner, and my friend had a cheeseburger. Both were cooked perfectly and were quite tasty. The establishment needs a good clearing out and a scrub. The prices and portions were good too.

Friendly group of patrons and even friendlier staff. The burger has a heavy portion of delicious beef along with your choice of fixings. The price is right on par with the current market if not a bit lower (paid $13 for hamburger w/fries). The inside is nothing special to look at, but that did not seem to take away from the positive spirits in the room. I would stop back in for a beer when I feel like one and to try something else to eat now that I know the menu.

We went twice while visiting the area, the first night we had their special .79 wings with an order of fries and mac and cheese bites. The wings were crispy and the sauces were great, fries are good especially dipped in ranch(don't know if ranch is homemade but it was excellent) and we all loved the mac and cheese bites and I'm not normally a fan. Second night was burgers and chicken strips, burgers were fantastic, big, and cooked perfect. Chicken strips were fresh, crispy, and HUGE. Trust me when I say if you didn't stop at the dispensary first only get the half order, 2 is more than enough. The service was welcoming and the atmosphere was nice although it is fairly small. Even though everyone seemed to be locals we felt treated like one also, so much nicer than what I see in a big city. Overall great place and cant wait to pass thru the area again

Stopped in here during one of the summer concerts. Place was filled with people eating. Service was great and the food came out relatively fast. Had the burger and enjoyed it very much. Would come back for a drink and a bite anytime I'm in town.

Stopped for lunch last minute and we were very pleased. Both the food and the service was wonderful. Small place, very clean, with a warm hometown atmosphere and friendly employees. My grilled ham n cheese sandwich n fries were tasty. We were glad we stopped here and gave it a try. Felt very comfortable and welcoming there.

We have been here 6 times in the last 3 weeks. This place is phenomenal. The menu and bar selections are excellent. The staff from the moment you walk in are attentive ,professional and extremely polite and professional. If you are in the Buchanan, Michigan area I strongly advise you to stop by. Mike and Christine behind the bar are oustanding.

Totally worth the traipse thru the torn up road to make it to meet friends for dinner. Our waitress was fantastic, the food was great and they pour a nice cocktail! I will definitely go back!

We have been coming here for a couple of years now, and they are always consistent. Consistent good food, and consistent great service! There are so many restaurants, but we will always choose this place because they are always on point. Thank you for always doing an awesome job!!

Five star. Had the jalapeño popper burger. Possibly the best burger I have ever had. Not too spicy. Coupled with some onion rings and a couple of Alaskan ambers I was in heaven.

Local bar food burger joint, portions are bigger than your head. Wednesday wing deal is off the charts. Food is always good, ask Stef about her horses. They should call me Norm

Noisy, wonderful, small neighborhood bar and grill we found in Buchanan MI. It truly seems to be the "place where everybody knows your name" If you are not a regular, everyone still gives you a warm welcome. Servers, cooks and some of the customers worked hard to get everyone seated, menus distributed and served as fast as they could. It did take us an hour and 45 minutes and it was time well spent. Our food was delicious and our drinks were good. We had Fish and fries and hamburgers.

My husband works in Buchanan and he brought home food from McCoy's Creek Tavern. I had him bring me the Club sandwich (I asked them to add onion) and a side of fries, while he got his standard burger and fries. He seemed to enjoy his food but didn't really give me his opinion, but he finished it so I assume it was decent. I really liked my sandwich. I hadn't had a club sandwich in a long time and it definitely filled my tummy. I love a good triple decker club sandwich, and theirs was on point. I usually get the tomatoes taken off but this time I didn't and I'm glad I didn't. They didn't have it touching the bread so no tomato soaked bread. They also weren't mushy which was nice because sometimes by the time the food gets eaten, the tomatoes are soft and mushy, which is why I usually get them removed. I am interested in coming and sitting down to get the full vibe but that might be a bit. I am hoping my husband will order from them again soon though, because I have more things I want to try, like the sloppy joe and some of the wraps. I am so glad my husband took his co-workers advice and grabbed some food from McCoy's.

I thought I left this place a review already..DO NOT LEAVE BUCHANAN WITHOUT STOPPING HERE! ITS AMAZING!! Forget the great prices and generous portions.. the quality is what will leave you craving more. Everytime I stop in Buchanan I'm usually seduced by the mouthwatering aroma coming from this place. If you're lucky to be in town when they are open you are in for a treat! From the great sirloin burgers they have starters like white cheddar cheese curds and so much more. Definitely a must stop!! I have to add.. from now on I'll not only be stopping in for a drink and a bit but I will be buying food to take home with me as well! Why does this place have less than 5's? Probably some douche yelper thinking they're food critics. They should get the South Park Golden Badge of being the "top yelper" so that they get the special treatment they deserve. I read a review from ones of these people and I do not believe they waited two hours for their food. I've been there on a Saturday when they were jam packed and they're was one bartender, one cook and one server and my food came out super quick, hot and fresh.. and I don't recall ever having to ask for a refill. They were hustling to get peoples orders out, that time and all other times I've been their the service has been excellent and the food is just great bar food.. a Half pound sirloin cheeseburger with fries is only $10.99 and all the started I saw were $7.99.

Went here for lunch during the week and was completely satisfied. This place has such a good extensive menu for a dive bar atmosphere. I've had the sloppy joe, the french dip and the reuben and they were all awesome. Went on a Friday around 6 pm....after 22 minutes still didn't have any drinks or a food order in so we left. Lesson learned - only go on weekdays for lunch :) Or maybe weekends around 2:30.

Went for the Friday AUCE fish fry. Wasn't disappointed. Large serving of fish, fries a serving of coleslaw & a nice piece of cornbread. There was so much fish in the 1st basket there was no need to ask for more. The 1st time there, I finished my fish, but barely & brought home most of the fries. The second time we went, I couldn't finish....but oh I wanted to.

Tried this place for lunch and was not disappointed! The food was really good, so come hungry. The staff was friendly and attentive. We will be back!

Tried this place out for the first time and was super happy. The place itself is small, but definitely good vibes inside. Also had private men and women bathrooms. The food was delicious got the sampler appetizer platter with mini tacos, mac and cheese bites, onion rings, and fried mushrooms. Everything was cooked perfect and so tasty. We also got the bone in chicken wings and french dip which were also cooked perfectly. The service was great as well, everyone was very nice. Definitely recommend and will be returning there next time we are in town! Also giant parking lot right behind their building. So easy access.

Great food also food portions are huge I got the half order of the chicken tenders basket and it came with 2 huge chicken tenders and the waitress was very nice and very kind. If you are close by you most definitely should come and eat here!!

Waited almost two hours for food and it wasn't even that good. Tasted like food you could get from Walmart. The appetizer platter is $15 for a little basket of food definitely not worth it. My girlfriend had almost her whole plate gone before I even got my burger.

Boneless wings are just huge chunks of dry, non-marinated flavorless chicken. The ONLY flavor is the sauce. No real breading like I've had with boneless wings at other places. Granted, I'm not from Michigan so maybe this is how they make boneless wings here but it's a no for me. The price for the amount of food is good, especially if you dine in on $0.50 wing night. Just not very tasty. Everyone was really nice though!

Good food, good drinks, typical bar atmosphere... Really nice serving staff! Wing night on Wednesday nights is particularly good with lots of sauce choices

Food is good service is great when I pick up to go order. Don't really hang out but seems like a good crowd. It is Buchanan. Voted nicest place in America.

This is a cute super friendly place! Steph is super nice and if you ask for her home made secret sauce you won't be disappointed! Definitely coming back and telling my friends about it.

Burger night on Thursdays is great. Lots of burger choices, yummy drinks and good service. Burger and fries is big enough to share!

I absolutely loved their BLTS!!! Me and my boyfriend were more then satisfied with the service and food. Cannot wait to come back, very cozy atmosphere as well.

What a lovely lunch in Covid times! First, our server Bunny was awesome in every way! She greeted us warmly, made superb suggestions, and anticipated our needs. Such a rare combination at anytime. Beers were icy cold, food was fresh and delicious, and prices are truly a bargain! We will be back.
