If I can give this location zero stars I would. I don't usually go out of my way to write negative reviews on places, but what they did the other day Pissed. Me. Off.
I went through the drive thru and ordered, very clearly, a Double quarter pounder meal, large. When they asked which soda I wanted, I said just fill it with water. At the pick up window, they tried to give me a tiny cup of water until agreeing to give me a big one. (This isn't the reason I'm writing this though).
Before leaving, I check to make sure I got everything I wanted. But they gave me a regular quarter pounder instead of the double.
I park and walk inside to get the double which I ordered, expecting to be able to keep the mistake burger. I saw this as an opportunity- And I FULLY intended on giving the mistake burger to one of the homeless people outside.
But instead, this fool by the name of "Juan G." took the mistake burger, which I hadn't even touched, and THREW IT AWAY before he'd give me the double that I had ordered through the drive-thru.
Knowing full well that there's people starving here in Hayward, I was furious. But he just looked at me like a deer in headlights. And then he had the audacity to charge me the difference for the double even through HE/THEY had screwed up the order, requiring ME to get out of my car to come inside.
Seriously, screw this place. And screw McDonald's if this is how employees are trained. I've never come across a more stingy company.
And all of this would be excusable- ALL of it- if it weren't for "Juan G" insisting on throwing away a perfectly edible burger that could've gone to somebody less fortunate. Seriously...I don't go to McDonald's often but I would avoid this location like the plague.
