Roswell, New Mexico is the only place you will see that McDonald's UFO has landed. Even better that the flying saucer lights up at night.
Visiting Roswell earlier this month, I just had to stop by this McDonald's and come inside. The play area unfortunately was not open due to the pandemic but it was really neat to see Ronald McDonald as an astronaut, Birdie riding in a French fry space mobile, Grimace wearing a Coke spacesuit and one of the fry kids inside a McFlurry spaceship. There is also a cute space mural facing the drive thru window. Please note that indoor dining was not allowed earlier this month when I visited but you had the option to come inside to order or order via drive thru (which there was a long line for every time we passed by. It was probably faster for us to order inside).
Customer service was average, as what you would expect any McDonald and the food tasted the same. The only unique thing that McDonald's has in New Mexico that the McDonald's doesn't have back at home at my local McDonald's is the green chili burger. I didn't get that when I came in though, but instead got an apple pie (because my husband can't resist their pies).
I like that McDonald's food is consistent in taste, regardless of what location you go to. I only came for the photos and my husband decided to get 2 apple pies. This location is definitely a fun one to stop at. And then when you are done, check out the Dunkin next door where you can see a giant alien holding up the Dunkin Donuts sign (who is currently wearing a mask).
