The food was good. I had the gumbo, it needed a little more flavor for me. My husband had the blackened shrimp with fries. It was good, but need a little more spice to that also. The atmosphere was great. The service was excellent. Our server went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of and that we had everything we needed.

Are you kidding me? Where are you local people at Tuesday through Thursday night? Check out this sample of splitting the shrimp and grits and a beautiful house salad for a low price with this view! Make sure you order a side of the amazing off the grill garlic bread to sop up all that shrimp and grits gravy. I’m almost hesitant to post this because y’all gonna crowd it up like on the weekends. But there’s plenty of room here tonight. Miss Tiffany, our server was amazing and will fix you up with just what your tastes need.

Google
The food was amazing, and as I have eaten gumbo across the south I can say theirs is the best I've had. And even better than the food was the service. Alan was great and not only was the food out quick and our drinks never empty, but he was so nice. Will go again.

We got a recommendation from front desk lady from Maritime Seafood Museum! She wasn’t lying about McElroy’s. Oysters from Louisiana was slamming. Key lime pie, Gumbo, stuff mushrooms and crab cakes was 10/10 also. Our server Q, she knocked it out the park with her service, friendly and knowledgeable.

I came over to Biloxi to casino hop for the day and was desperate for a steak and some shrimp. I haven't been back to the coast much since I moved over 10 years ago, so I wasn't familiar with many newer places in the area. But one place I knew was McElroy's. My mother and father loved this place when I was a kid. I hadn't had breakfast the day I came, so I was pretty hungry. Starting out I ordered crab cakes. These were so delicious because they weren't covered in breading and deep fried. Not were they filled with bread and other filler. These two crab cakes were all meat! And they were so juicy and spicy, paired with the dipping sauce it was divine! The only steak they had on their menu was a 12 ounce ribeye and while that's not my favorite cut of meat, it was melt in your mouth perfection! I usually enjoy A1 steak sauce on my choice cut but the seasoning on this steak combined with how well it was cooked, was exactly what I was craving. The grilled shrimp I added were gulf shrimp and that's a big plus ! I can't stand farm raised icky bottom bugs. The view I had overlooking the water made the experience the best of the day, considering I lost the money I came with at the casinos. My server was incredibly sweet and attentive too! Thank you Ms Connie!

Loved, loved, loved the food here! Fresh, hot, seasoned to perfection, and the best service ever!!! Great folks here and truly decent prices offered!

Google
The server was great. Unfortunately this restaurant is serving "Imported shrimp, crab and fish" we ordered the fried crab claws, our favorite dish. The crab meat was dry, no taste and the batter was dry as possible been frozen This dish was one of the best at this restaurants. We learned that most of the restaurants in Biloxi are serving seafood from Ecuador, the Phillipines and other countries.

Google
What can I say I've traveled around the world in some of the most famous spots and I have met some of the most elite people I do have to say this is one of the best places to eat in Biloxi. Foods always good the drinks are superb very tasteful the place is usually got business in it which is a great sign for me and I leave their feeling happy. Be prepared to sit for at least 45 minutes thank you for reviewing my post.

Yelp
I had an excellent meal at McElroy's Harbour House Restaurant, thanks in large part to our wonderful waiter, Keith, who took great care of me from start to finish. I started with the Seafood Gumbo, and it was absolutely delicious--rich, flavorful, and the perfect warm-up for the rest of the meal. The six oysters on the half shell were incredibly fresh and briny, just the way they should be. For the main course, the blackened pork chops were cooked perfectly--tender, juicy, and seasoned with just the right amount of spice. It was truly a standout dish! Overall, a fantastic dining experience with great food, great service, and a beautiful coastal atmosphere.

Yelp
I think it's about the worst seafood restaraunt I've ever been to. The place looked interesting from the outside, reviews seemed alright so I thought I'd give it a try. Everything was super bland. You were basically just ordering for texture. The batter they used for the fried mushrooms was weird. The raw oysters were less than mid, not to mention the server hardly knew anything about oysters.. I couldn't bring myself to ask for a takeout box. At its best, the food was edible, or boring. Seems like a tourist trap restaraunt more than anything else The quality of food should amount to its price, but here I find its price greater than its quality

Yelp
Let me start by saying i'm from Montana and have very little seafood knowledge. I went into this place today with high expectations and they were met. All the food that me and my family got was amazing! And it it's only the second time in my life having gumbo and it was SPECTACULAR! I would highly recommend reading the menu and finding what you like but it was overall great food. Service was amazing all the waiters and waitresses were super nice. Our waitress made conversation and was a nice person to talk to. The food came out very fast and it was delicious. As for the ambiance, it was a beach theme. I thought the theme was super cute and made me feel very in Mississippi!

Lydia A.

Yelp
The food was great! Oysters!!!! Pam was the best waitress we have had in a long time. Felt like we were eating at her home. Clean and comfortable with a great view of the boats in harbor.

Yelp
Grabbing a quick bite while we wait for our shrimp boat ride. Cool place with really nice views. Pretty busy too! Standard seafood fare. Grabbed a half sandwich and cup of gumbo. Large portion and very tasty. Cool laid back kinda place. Would like to come back and check out a sunset from here.

Yelp
Wtf is going on here. Had to wait very long time for food and we had a toddler. Very unpleasant. Waitress in tears. People getting food around us had been there less time. I think it's time managers and ownership went to work at Lowe's and sold the restaurant. There are too many restaurants and this is one of the excess. A total mess. Also the food sucks. Not a chance I would come back even if it were free. Nice view though.

Yelp
Beat smoked fish dip on the gulf coast!! Grilled shrimp were perfect. Views are spectacular and the service is always great!

Yelp
Our first time here for lunch on Memorial Day Monday. Very friendly and helpful staff, our server Kim was great with our questions and offered excellent recommendations. My wife got the gumbo as a starter and it was maybe the best I've had. We both order the Half and Half with catfish and shrimp. It was delicious and the portions were ample. We share the key lime pie dessert - fabulous ! We enjoyed our visit and will be back !!

Yelp

Yelp
Great location and friendly staff. Best happy hour oysters. Oysters were huge but for some reason tasted bland.
google avatar

Yelp
Not too shabby ! Appetizer of crab cakes- quite good ! Went with harbor house special for dinner. Fish was great - large portions. Really decent margarita. Stephanie- our server was really good and very funny . Semi fairly priced.

Larry M.

Yelp
Some friends and I had dinner there yesterday.....and as usual it was great! With the weather being nice and not so hot for once, we sat on the deck by the bar enjoying the breeze along with the views. We had crab cakes, gumbo, crab dip, tuna steak.........it was all very good! Our server, Alan (I think) was very funny and attentive....very busy, but took good care of us, even took a picture of us when we asked. We had a great time! Thanks, we'll be back again.

Yelp
McElroy's was recommended by the concierge at our hotel and I'm glad we went. The views were amazing! Our waiter Devin was very knowledgeable of the items on the menu, kept our drinks filled and checked on us often. He did a great job. We ordered grilled flounder and popcorn shrimp. We chose the flounder filet. It was grilled and seasoned nicely. The popcorn shrimp were just that. I wish I would have ordered the tail on Gulf shrimp. The hush puppies have jalapeños in them and were too spicy for me. All the food came out hot. Salad dressings tasted made in house. The prices were reasonable for the portion sizes.

Yelp
If you are looking for a spot with a beautiful view and to have a drink (a bottled beer) this is your spot. This is an elevated restaurant so you get a great look out where you can se the water and the boats, the staff are nice but I hate to say that about where it ends. We came on a Tuesday afternoon during lunch. We were seated quickly and I started by asking if they had any specials. I was met with a "sorry no" but after reviewing the menu, they have a whole lunch menu (which in my parts would be considered special as it's only M-F). We ordered a margarita and got the poboy and gumbo as well as the catfish with a salad and broccoli., that also came with hush puppies. The margarita came to the table and as the server was approaching I kept thinking who ordered lemonade (it was electric yellow). He placed it on the table and one taste and it was off (very sour). He was kind enough to take it back and we opted to get a bottled beer. The food came to the table shortly and what surprised me was the poboy looked to have more fish than the catfish plate. Here's the disappointing part - although on the menu it stated that the catfish is farm raised, it tasted muddy and like it was frozen. The fish had NO SEASONING and the bread was meh at best. The broccoli looked like it was frozen and then over cooked, the hush puppies were dense and oily and the lettuce in the salad needs a rougher chop as it was big strips of lettuce tossed in the bowl. The gumbo needs some love as well but I will say it had a variety of items in it (rice, sausage and shrimp). Maybe I expected too much from the previous reviews or that they were near the water and have been around for years but I can definitely say this is a one and done.

Yelp
I used to come here a lot before Covid and it was great then. Came back a couple weeks ago and it was okay. The portions have gone done sooo much. Now I will say their firecracker shrimp was so good. That is what's saving this review.

Yelp
We visit when in Biloxi quick as a walk from our hotel. A large open seating area let us enjoy the gulf and the great weather. They have a nice lunch menu today Tiki Hubby and I shared the house salad with blackened shrimp what a bargain for $15.00 large iceberg salad with tomato, cheese, hard boiled egg, bacon, croutons covered with hot blackened shrimp and creamy rich ranch on the side. Plenty for the two of us for lunch. Kami our server was outstanding. View was delightful.

Jeni H.

Yelp
We sat at the bar for lunch and everything was delicious and staff super nice. Oysters are the best.

Yelp
I joined my daughter's family for Happy Hour on the covered deck overlooking the bay outside because it was too windy to sit at the tables outside the uncovered area. Two servers approached us, but only 1 spoke and told us her name while the other just stared. It was awkward, until a few minutes into the conversation, the quiet one said the other server was a trainee. Things then got confusing because both started taking orders. There were 2 local draft beers I was considering until they said they were out of both. I ordered a dozen fresh oysters and crab cakes appetizer. I asked to bring out the crab cakes after I ate the oysters, but they came out at the same time, as did everyone's orders of appetizers and entrees! The oysters were fresh, but not briny, so a little lacking in flavor. The 2 sautéed crab cakes had lots of crab, but all I could taste was mustard that overpowered any crab flavor - very disappointing. There are better places for oysters and crab cakes in Gulfport!

Yelp
Let's face it you are here for the view because it is amazing. The décor doesn't really match with the view because it's more like a Greek restaurant but that's okay. They have a lunch special and that's what I got - the half shrimp po'boy with the gumbo. I could not imagine a whole sandwich because the half was plentiful. Shrimp was done with a nice southern breading and the sandwich was properly dressed. Gumbo was on par and better than average. The service was quick and friendly - our server was very sweet. Cocktails were refreshed - overall a great experience.

Billy P.

Yelp
Food is not worth it Service is just ok Ambiance is the best thing it has going with the view of the water and Deer Island close by Po boys the worst ones in Biloxi almost every other Po boy place beats them hands down.

Yelp
We are here for the weekend and saw this restaurant on our way to Hard Rock Hotel. We sat down for a while (about 20 minutes) and my friend had to get someone to service us and take our order. After they realized the oversight, they were very apologetic. I ordered the crab dip and we decided to share the seafood platter. Everything was delicious. The food was seasoned very well and was fresh. It was a good choice since we wanted fresh gulf seafood. The portions were more than enough so we took some home. The next day, the food was still tasty. Yummy! Not only was the food good but the view is nice too.

Karen S.

Yelp
We got great service, but I think the cooks were rushing . The stuffed shrooms were undercooked, and so was the crab cake . But the chargrilled oysters were excellent .

Stacy G.

Yelp
Visiting the area for the first time and this was the first place we spotted. I had the grouper and my husband had the fried oysters. Both dishes were amazing. Service was great too. The restaurant was a fun and laid back place.

Theresa F.

Yelp
Excellent views, food and service ! We will be back for sure. Had the pork chop and collard greens and baked potato

Leigh-Ann W.

Yelp
Oh, wow! Can't wait to come back to McElroy's. First, location: sitting above the marina watching the boats in the Biloxi Bay & Gulf. Beautiful views. Secondly, the food: The shrimp & grits should be their signature dish. This was a new version of this classic dish for me. Fried grit cakes COVERED in grilled shrimp, fresh grated Parmesan, and a creamy sauce. The crispy outer shell of the grit cakes with the smooth, creamy inner grits covered in deliciously seasoned cream sauce. My mouth is watering again just describing it. Half & half platter of fried oysters & shrimp, hush puppies, hand-cut fries, & coleslaw was also quite tasty. Last, but not least, the service was exceptional. Keith was very friendly & attentive. Hostess was sweet when purchasing a souvenir shirt on the way out also. Don't pass this place up.

Yelp
We had the fishermans platter fried Nothing spectacular. Lots of breading. Server was attentive and very nice. They have no draft beer and for me that. Is a must with my seafood. The tuna dip was ok. Just passing through. Nothing noteworthy except the view of the bay.
google avatar

Lynn S.

Yelp
We enjoy the oysters here and the view! The gumbo is good as well as many other items on the menu.
google avatar

Kristi H.

Yelp
We had a nice experience here. Our waiter was friendly and efficient, and the food was very good. We had the gumbo, shrimp poboy, and stuffed mushrooms. I definitely recommend this place for the food and the view!

Yelp
Important Highlights GOOD: Wonderful service, amazing water views and generally solid, fresh seafood BAD - We ordered many items. The tuna dip came with wrapped saltines rather than a crusty bread (latter preferred) The crab cake sandwich needed more grilling, it was very soft McElroy's Harbor House was very enjoyable. The food was overall very good but the STAR was the view. The roof top dining offers several amazing angles of the marina and open water - a must if you go Our server was very friendly and sweet. We loved the chili grilled shrimp, the cold shrimp and the oysters. If you get the crab cake sandwich, go for fried to get the good crunch. McElroy's should be on your list while in Bioloxi.

Madeline W.

Yelp
We planned to just stop in for a drink, but we ended up sharing the broiled scallops and were surprised by how generous the portion size was. They were so good!! Our server was absolutely hilarious and they had a solid drink selection. Great view of course!

Anne H.

Yelp
Food was great had the gumbo soup, a very plentiful bowl ..enough for two . Mushrooms stuffed with crabmeat in a Parmesan sauce could Have ate two servings so good . Also the shrimp po boy loaded with shrimp. Service was excellent waitress very helpful. As an added bonus we were there for the sunset absolutely spectacular. Highly recommended. The staff made sure we did not miss the sunset. I would give them a 10.*******

W. J. M.

Yelp
We watched the sun go down from the deck. Everything was delicious. We will be back. Service was very good. We got a quart of gumbo to take home. This is a must if you are in Biloxi.
google avatar

Keith W.

Yelp
My wife and I ate here twice last week. We had raw oysters and. charbroiled oysters. The second visit we had crab claws, shrimp and salads. All dishes were very good. The service was also good. They are celebrating their 50th anniversary and have raw oysters at half price. If you like seafood you will love this place. If not stop in and gave a burger. You won't be disappointed!!!

Robert J.

Yelp
Table was amazing, the server, Jasmine was amazing and the meal was more than amazing. This is now my favorite seafood restaurant in Biloxi!! Thank you!!!!
google avatar

Mary Beth C.

Yelp
This experience was very much anticipated as we celebrate another great trip around the Sun for my husband! The hostess was lovely as my husband excused himself to wash his hands, I was given several choices. I picked a corner table with a view, while chatting with hostess I said it was his birthday she said they would bring a brownie... i said we don't like the attention and she says , they never sing... cool, thanked her and looked forward. The restaurant is kept up nicely in a maritime aged theme. The thing is you notice it very little because of the amazing view... The appetizer selection was nothing unique except for the chargrilled oysters! They were new to me and they were tasty with an unique texture. Now we move to entrees with cups of gumbo (up charge) as a side for us, and blackened entrees. Most items can be fried, blackened, grilled etc. Hubby had the platter (blackened) that boasts a large portion of various items. Crab cakes were creamy and delicious. The scallops were tender and flavorful. Along with gulf shrimp and catfish... which was also my entree in the half and half. Excellent! Our cocktails were layered, beautifully presented, but they took a while to get to the table. We had the oysters and we were enjoying the gumbo when they finally arrived. At the conclusion 5 employees come singing loudly to our table. I am sure I looked shocked, and hubby smiled, a lot. Hostess came up but the song was almost over! Apparently this was a new experience for hubby and he really liked it. We all had a good laugh!!! This is a pricey restaurant with many entrees I would like to try in the future. Definitely a place worth trying!

Yelp
This was a nice place. You get nice views. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, stuffed mushrooms, harbor plate and the half and half with grilled scallops and grilled oysters. The sides were potato salad, broccoli and baked potato. To drink I had the gulf punch and my home girl had the peach daiquiri. I enjoyed the tomatoes, the mushrooms were ok, the grilled scallops were delicious, the potato salad was good and it had eggs in it (which I love). The broccoli was seasoned. My home girl enjoyed her red snapper blackened. The daiquiri was weak and mostly ice. I will say the gulf punch was good but alright now my head is swimmy. Customer service was great when we walked in and our waitress Miranda was fabulous.
google avatar

Dale H.

Yelp
The atmosphere was sticky. The air was sticky. The tables were sticky. Air circulation was poor. It smelled musty. We had fried shrimp and oysters. The food was greasy and over cooked. Our selections came with a salad. The "salad" was warm and soggy. Best and only reason I gave it 2 stars was, is that the service was good and the servers were very kind.
google avatar

Ria C.

Yelp
The food was spectacular. The fish was cooked perfect and the SEASONING WAS PERFECT OMG!!! Service was great. Ambience, not many people view of bots and ocean.

Tom F.

Yelp
My wife and I ordered the chargrilled oysters and they were outstanding! The oysters were tender, juicy and a little bit of smoke made them incredible. We ordered the grilled mahi for an entree and we were disappointed. The fish was overcooked and dry. In all fairness due to time constraints we did not complain to give them a chance to make it right which i am sure they would have.

cedrina R.

Yelp
Service was great. Crab claws were tasty and cooked well. CrabCAKE Biloxi cost $30 and came with 1 crabby patty. This 1 was the least favorable from all the places I had. A lot of shells in the 1 cake. Key lime Colada was really good.
google avatar

Jenn S.

Yelp
The waitress was awesome. The food was alright. The view and atmosphere was awesome. Definitely recommend!
google avatar

Nadia V.

Yelp
A Biloxi staple. You need the gumbo and any red fish platter. Bloody Mary is another must. The crab fondue was incredibly rich and served with fried pita chips (Southern style!). I *had* to order some chargrilled oysters and I'm glad I did. I recommend ordering a dozen vs a half dozen as the price isn't much more for the full dozen ... and you'll probably eat them all anyway. ;-) If it's not too windy, ask to sit outside by the water to catch a closer view of the boats coming in and out of the marina. The atmosphere is very laid back at McElroy's so bring the whole family.
google avatar

Benjamin C.

Yelp
Not so great. I've been here a few times before, and it was okay. This time, I got raw oysters and the blackened snapper. Raw oysters were decent because they were some of the more plump oysters I've had, but they didn't have too much taste. The blackened snapper was overcooked - chewy and tough. The crawfish/cajun sauce on top of it didn't seem very fresh. I know most folks won't order sides of broccoli and green beans like I did, but these needed more flavor. They needed to be slow cooked and simmered with bacon or something rather than just simply boiled.

Blanca K.

Yelp
Great place to enjoy your meal overlooking the harbor. Great friendly staff. Delicious gumbo!

Judy S.

Yelp
Busy place! Our server was knowledgeable and patient with our questions. Being from the Midwest, I didn't know what Argentinian Reds were. They were the special and that is what I ordered. They were delicious! Very buttery but the garlic toast soaked up the rich shrimp sauce. Great place to eat...there were other tempting menu items so we will need to come back and try them soon. I loved the crab wall hanging made from beer bottle caps and we had a table looking out at the Gulf. Nice!

DA L.

Yelp
Simple and straightforward nothing fancy, if this is what you want then McElroy's should work. Had the fried shrimp platter, just a little spice in the batter, fries and hush puppies were simple and plenty. Service was great and the sunset view was perfect.

Larry A.

Yelp
Our server Allen was great. The food was awesome fresh and seasoned perfectly. The view was spectacular
google avatar

Kacie M.

Yelp
My husband and I took our daughters to grab a late supper on a Tuesday night. The kids were worn out and grumpy. The staff was great and brought out snacks while we were waiting for our food. They were friendly and accommodating throughout our visit. The food was delicious. It was still light outside when we got there and the view was very nice. We walked out noting that we would definitely be back when we're in the area again.

Yelp
I was interested in trying here due to my uncle coming here before they relocated and said he couldn't find a better seafood restaurant since. When we went I couldn't believe how much better the food was than any place in Mobile. The waitress we had was either hiding her true feelings or she was genuinely happy to work here. I can say I'm glad where they relocated to the sunset on the water was breathtaking. I can't wait to go back
