"Kiev has two botanical gardens, and you’ll hear locals refer to them as “the old one” and “the new one.” The old one, or A.V. Fomin Botanical Garden, is small, pleasantly quiet, and free to attend. The greenhouse with cacti, orchids, palm trees, and other exotic plants, does cost a few dollars to enter, and is well worth it.The new one, or M. M. Hryshko National Botanical Garden, sprawls on the hills above the Dnieper, which means more than a few fantastic viewpoints. Come here for blooming magnolias in April, lilacs in May, and fall foliage in October. But keep in mind that the garden gets busy on the weekends, so it’s better to sneak in a visit during the week. You’ll be charged a small fee to enter." - MATADOR_NETWORK

"Berlin’s botanical gardens can be found in the green southwest of the city, in the charming, village-like district of Dahlem. One of the largest such gardens in the world, they contain some 22,000 different specimens hailing from all around the world and distributed through a sprawling landscape of outdoor gardens, some themed, and connected by pathways. In addition, there are 16 architecturally striking greenhouses originally built in 1907, which house the gardens’ more exotic and tropical plants — a fabulous option for colder weather. There’s also a full calendar of events, including a pumpkin-themed Halloween festival and highly popular Christmas concerts." - MATADOR_NETWORK

This is one of the most beautiful botanical gardens I’ve ever been to. Highly recommend becoming a member as it includes memberships to other botanical gardens throughout Florida. This place requires multiple visits with winding pathways through shaded tree covered areas and open sunny spots with beautiful water features. It’s amazing. There’s also an awesome children’s garden that allows kids to have fun and play in a safe area. Parents will be relieved to know there’s only one way in and one way out of the garden so they can watch their children safely. Here’s some photos of the beautiful flowers and vegetation you may see! Don’t forget to look up, there’s tons of bird life. We saw a hawk with her nest way up high. So cool!

this place is absolutely beautiful. If you’re looking for somewhere quiet and serene, this is the place to go. There are so many beautiful spots and lots of benches throughout the park. I would recommend using some bug spray because the mosquitoes were out and about. The check-in staff are really nice. The café is also available and has good options. The bathrooms are pretty clean.

My husband and I have been to McKee Bontanical Garden on three successive visits to Vero Beach. It is so beautiful and meticulously maintained. The staff is friendly. The grounds are extraordinarily beautiful. The sculptures (which change from time to time) add a lot to experience. And the price of admission ($15) is incredibly low, considering the quality of the experience.

Stunningly beautiful McKee Botanical Garden is a special place. Very interesting history of how it opened in the 30s, closed in the 70s, and reopened after a massive grassroots effort to rescue it from condo development and restore it to its former glory. There is ample free parking, children's programs, gift shop, and café. This garden is non-profit and staffed by both paid personnel and many dedicated volunteers. Price for admission is $15. It has reciprocal agreements with many other botantical gardens. It is a piece of Old Florida history and is not to be missed. Highly recommended.

Beautiful peaceful place to walk through! Plants, waterfalls, trees, ponds, stone bridge and nice trails carved throughout. The artists that made bamboo statues of birds were very interesting! There is a restaurant, gift shop and public restrooms. Plenty of parking and reasonable entry fee. There are planned events posted for kids on a sign. A lot of people contributed a lot of time and effort to preserve this area making it a beautiful place to enjoy!

It's such a beautiful place! My family and I (including my service dog) visit a botanical garden each year we go on vacation, and this has been the best one. Absolutely recommend!

What an immaculate garden! Certainly a must-do for “old-Florida” enthusiasts, roadside travelers, and residents alike. If you’re familiar with Florida’s Botanical Gardens, this spot was designed by the same folks that did Bok Tower Gardens (Lake Wales) and Fairchild Gardens (Coral Gables) - and it undoubtedly measures up to both. Not only featuring a diverse array of flora, this park boasts one of a kind “garden features“ like the Spanish kitchen, Hall of Giants, garden folly kaleidoscope, and giant mushroom just to name a few. The park blends grassy open areas with a winding canal and a thick tropical hammock. There’s a café on site with an education building that makes this spot ideal for adults and children alike. You could easily spend, two hours on site just walking through the gardens. We went on an afternoon that allowed us to experience the gardens both in sunshine and in rain and frankly, both produced a special type of magic. I think you’d be hard pressed to feel stressed or anxious in this space; it’s so serene and peaceful. The aroma of plants and flowers complimented by a towering tree canopy make the stroll through the gardens one of tranquility. A few notes to prepare you for your visit: 🅿️ Parking is free on site; there is only one lot in the front of the complex ⏰ You can get through the park in about an hour if you’re walking rather quickly, but I’d suggest allowing 2-3 hours to have the full experience - especially if you have children! ➡️ Gates inside the park close at 4:55 PM and gates to leave the parking lot close at 5:00 PM. The staff here is VERY strict about this rule. If you’re looking to have an uninterrupted visit and avoid feeling rushed, I’d be intentional about wrapping your visit up no later than 4:45.
