This is a destination farm shop. The variety of food available is outstanding. They have everything from fresh veg and meat to pies, ready meals and baked goods. There's even an old fashioned sweet shop! (Check the photos). We had lunch in the restaurant which was really good and probably worth the visit alone. The view from the restaurant, over Strangford Lough and Scarborough tower was impressive. Overall, McKees is worth a visit even if you're not local. I'll definitely be back at some point.

Great lunch spot, and not too pricy considering the quality. Could easily lunch for 10-14 quid including drinks. Farm shop was amazing... We bought too much, so had to freeze half of it. Staff were all very friendly. Ill defs be back, even if i have to find an excuse

Ordered an afternoon tea online to be delivered locally as a birthday gift. Had to request a last minute change to the delivery slot and it was sorted quickly and delivered as requested. Very thankful. The recipient really enjoyed their goodies too. Thank you.

Had to stop here for a visit today, always such tasty food and friendly staff. Cosy seating are in the cafe with the lovely fire lit. Saw another couple's pavlova arrive at their table and had some serious pudding envy 😂 so I went and ordered some. So tasty!! Farm shop is great too, so much choice and the ready made dinners are great. Definitely worth a visit 🙂❤️ Plenty of parking and disabled access too. Can't wait til our next visit over to go again!

Great spot for breakfast or coffee and cake. Splendid views towards Scrabo Tower. As for the Farm Shop great variety of meat and vegetables and almost everything else in between. As for the sweetie section, brings back memories of childhood,….. at least until you have to pay :-)

I was there on Saturday with friends and had a mini fry with coffee plus the raspberry and white chocolate cheesecake. It was all absolutely delicious!! Jonny and the staff were so attentive. I would highly recommend going there 🙂

Ordered online, ( from England) Christmas food delivery to my in-laws address in North Belfast. The turkey and ham package was excellent, as were the many other items, sweet, savoury, soups, baked goods. Cost was reasonable for the quality and quantity. The delivery was made by a very courteous driver, early on Christmas Eve. I arrived on time to cook everything too!! I have ordered food gifts previously, to be delivered, again excellent quality. The online order process is efficient and the member of staff I additionally spoke by phone , reassured me that a large Christmas order would not pose any problems. Thanks to the staff for ensuring a worry free Christmas.

Yelp
Good selection of food on the menu, and they do small plates. I'm not sure about the system of reading the menu in the foyer and then ordering at the counter. I felt under pressure as there were people behind me and I was getting a bit panicky trying to remember what everyone wanted. I also find it easier to decide when there is a menu in front of me and you can ask the waiter/waitress about a dish or ingredients without holding people up. However the food was server quickly and the service staff were pleasant.

Yelp
Let me down very badly by failing to supply a dessert for Christmas that I'd order weeks ago (surely things can be "set aside" when ordered?) I'll not be ordering again, which is a shame, as their food is lovely.

Yelp
Something really bizarre happened me at Mckees Farm Shop today. First of all I have never been before and was not expecting what I found. It's huge - a massive big cafe selling local and homemade food. A large shop with shelves upon shelves of local produce such as sweets, jams, cakes and even ice cream. I bought a tub of ice cream which is Yellow man flavored and about two seconds ago had a big scoop - oh my word it's good and made in Newtownards! Anyway, I went in to get a big dish of take away dinner for I am entertaining (Don't you know - said in a very posh voice!) tomorrow evening. my future mother in law recommended the place if you are having people round as they do a great variety of hot dishes like lasagna, curry, sweet and sour, stews for up to 20 people at decent prices. I went for chilli chicken for 6 - 6 very generous portions came to £20. While I was waiting I noticed a bit of an atmosphere in the place and i asked the guy who was serving me what was happening. He informed me that the boy band Mcfly had just landed in. I said 'what are they doing here?' to which he replied, obviously 'having something to eat.' Being a massive freak when it comes to celebs I had to have a nosy so I stuck my face up against every window in the place until I finally caught a glimpse of them (other people were staring at me as if I was deranged!) When I got home I Google imaged them to make sure it was definitely them - it was. I have to say I am massively impressed with McKees, not only is the food amazing, fresh and local but they sell a great mixture of kitchen goods as well as flowers and gifts AND they even attract celebrities! AWESOME.

Yelp
Good wholesome, hearty farm shop food. Very, very busy at lunch time, but worth the wait. Lovely big bright restaurant with superb views over the Craigantlet hills. You can also buy some of the lovely delicacies as they have a deli, butcher dept and other farm produce. Worth finding for a hearty lunch. It doesn't open on Sundays

Yelp
McKee's is a family run farm in the sweeping Craigantlet hills that has been growing and harvesting quality crops for three generations, more recently the family have undertake the venture of a Fram Shop and restaurant and it has proved very popular. The McKee family work under the ethos that food should be natural, wholesome and healthy and they only cook and sell quality fruit, vegetables, bakery butchery and dairy on their premises. These beliefs have helped McKee's build up a bit of a cult following, recently I went to McKee's on a dreary Wednesday afternoon and could not even get seated for a quick bite thus is its popularity. There was a real mix of people seated in the restaurant and in contrast to a lot of other places of this nature it seemed to attract a few people who were under 60. We didn't get seated and we would have had to have waited a good bit to get a seat so we left, but McKee's will definitely be visited again by me. The staff were extremely apologetic but there was not much else they could have done apart from wheeling a pensioner out of the restaurant.

Yelp
Really love this place. I've been quite a few times now and I find that the food in both the restaurant and the shop to be of top quality. I particularly like how as much of the produce as possible is not just local, but from the surrounding farms. The service is good. It could at times be a little faster but it is not problematically slow and most importantly it's always courteous and friendly. The only thing about the clintel is that they may tend to be on average slightly older than in some other places and so the decor and vibe to the place is tones to suit and hence might not be fully to the taste of the younger and young at heart. But the quality speaks for itself really and this combined with the welcoming atmosphere should please anyone unless they're just trying to find fault.

Yelp
This is a great farm shop and its very well presented inside, think of it looking more like a up market posh deli inside with a cafe that you can never get in to as the ques always out the door. It would take you to go early to get in. I cant cook but when I'm there I'm looking at all the nice food thinking I'm Gordon Ramsey

Yelp
Alas McKees now disappoints! I have, for a long time been a customer of this shop & resturant getting breakfast nearly every Saturday morning and meat and veg. The staff are really great especially in the cafe and the food quality is very good so what disappoints? Recently the prices in the cafe have been hiked, this they could probably make an argument for but what is unacceptable is that what you get for that money has decreased and the straw that broke this camels back is that previously when one ordered Hot Chocolate (which is great by the way) one got a couple of marshmallows & maltezers - now you have to pay an extra 50p! Come on Colin, even your staff have have told me they think this is crazy. McKees is great, it's not cheap but there is quality but people have got to feel they are getting value & this type of penny pinching will not help.

Yelp
Great spot for homegrown and homemade food with plenty to choose from on the menu. Hidden away up on the hills it can be used as a secret weapon when you want to treat your gran.
