Stayed here on Saturday 21st June 2025. Carlingford itself was busy and the weather was lovely. Rooms were fine and very clean bathroom and shower were perfect. The bed was lovely and comfy. Had a few drinks in the bar on that night and was very enjoyable. They had music in the bar which was easy listening and the bar staff were very good too. The only thing I was disappointed at was the breakfast. The menu had a good selection of cooked breakfast but there was no cereal or juice to be seen anywhere. I had the full irish which was lovely but if you only wanted cereal it didn't seem to be available. One other thing to note was that there is no lift. All the rooms as far as I could see are on the 1st floor, wasn't a problem for us but for anyone incapacitated or wheelchair users this would be difficult. Overall this is a lovely place to stay, right in the centre of Carlingford. A good base if you wanted to explore the north east of the country. This place is good value for money as the price of hotels in Ireland has got very expensive in the last couple of years. I would have no problem staying here again.

The Mc Kevitts Village Hotel has been owned and operated by the Mc Kevitts family for five generations. The sense of pride that comes with delivering best-in class hospitality cannot missed. The location, comfort, food and bar brings everyone in, locals and foreigners alike. A shout out to Tara who genuinely cares about your stay experience. Guest rooms are perfect for solo travelers, families, hikers and golfers. With a few minutes walk from the bus stop, it is an easy journey to make from Dublin. Step back in time and look forward to what makes Carlingford, County Louth a stop on your travel itinerary. Thank you again, see you next year.

Just returned home after a few days in this amazing hotel... Checked in early and was told that our room was ready which was an added bonus... Terry was really helpful with all the details about the hotel...The staff were so helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough for you... Breakfast in the morning was delicious and you had a good choice from your healthy opinion to their frys which by the way were amazing... Homemade scones in the afternoon was scrumptious and a good selection of sandwiches whatever your choice was.The evening menu was excellent we had the mussels and there was enough for two people... But there was a good selection what ever your taste buds are.. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean... Credit to all the staff that work hard to keep it that way... There is a lovely little balcony outside your bedroom floor.Just nice to sit and chill with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine...The view of the mountains is a added bonus as well... Parking outside the hotel is free but you might have to drive around a few times to get a space outside.. There is a few quirky little shops around and a few bars that have live music whichever you desire... Or if you prefer just to take a walk around and visit the castle by the water and see the stunning views... Would I visit this hotel again...100%

Ok, so unequivocally the best part of our Ireland trip was our stay in Carlingford and specifically our Hotel. A quaint and beautiful little Hotel in an amazing town. The hospitality was unmatched and a shout out to Terry for being so gracious to us during our stay, can't say enough about the amazing experience we had here. The hotel was great, the beds and pillows were comfy and the room was well-appointed. We had such an amazing stay. Thanks again for the hospitality, a trip we will never forget.

We didn’t stay there but had dinner on one night on a recommendation and we were not at all disappointed! Mostly young staff who were friendly, chatty and knew their stuff. Food was basic but delicious and they cater for allergies very well. Carlingford is a great town with a good buzz and also a fine place to stop and move on to Northern Ireland in our case or if travelling south.

Stayed here for a friend's wedding. Hotel is small and in the centre of the village. Hotel rooms are small but clean. The staff were really pleasant and nothing was a trouble to them. The food in the hotel was lovely and really reasonably priced. Would stay here again. Only gripe was the noise in the mornings from the showers.
