McMillans of Metung Coastal Resort

We had a fantastic stay at McMillians in Metung. The two-bedroom cottage was clean, modern, and very comfortable, with everything we needed including comfy beds and laundry. The lake views were beautiful and we loved walking along the deck. Our boys adored the playground, open outdoor spaces, pool, and games room. The gardens were well kept and the whole property felt safe and relaxing. Cherie the manager was lovely and very helpful — our kids absolutely adored her. We’d happily stay again and highly recommend it for families.

Spent 3 nights at this lovely resort just outside of town. All the amenities you could wish for in your accommodation; full kitchen, washer/drier, living room, bedroom and patio. The games room took me back to my college days! Table football, table tennis and pool.

We had our Christmas celebration here and it was everything and more! Beautiful location and facilities. Our villa was gorgeous. Will definitely be back

We had a great weekend at McMillans. The unit was very clean and well appointed and warm and it was close enough to walk into town (15 mins). The grounds are well kept and it was very relaxing.

What a great, well presented accommodation. Super clean rooms, amazing lawns, playground and sandpit, splendid view from the balcony. We were here for a weekend getaway and had the best time. Kids kept going back to the playground and the games room. Most villas are slightly distant from each other creating better privacy. Also enjoyed the boardwalk to the town and lake view. 5 stars all the way!

Absolutely beautiful stay as always, facilities and a location that keeps us coming back every year! Sheree is outstanding and always goes above and beyond for us. We love that whenever we stay here we feel so accommodated and welcome. Cannot wait to return next year.

Recently my wife and I spent a few days at Macmillans Metung about three and a half hours from Melbourne on the Gippsland lakes. Our cottage number 8 (2 bedrooms) had a lovely view of the 8 acres of manicured gardens/lawns and views over Bancroft bay. The cottages are fully self contained with all you need for a short or long stay. The resort facility’s have a tennis court, basketball area, sauna, and 2 swimming pools (1 toddlers) the games room is huge with lots of activities to keep the kids happy on a rainy day! It’s only a ten minute walk along the scenic flat boardwalk to the village for all your choices of half a dozen eating establishments including a mini supermarket / metung hotel yacht club all on Bancroft bay. Our host Sheree (the resort manager) was most welcoming and informative on all aspects of our stay that made us feel like part of the family.

Beautiful and serene accommodation, a very picturesque 10 minute walk into town along the boardwalk. Gardens, accommodation and games room were all beautifully kept, we used all the facilities. Sheree was extremely helpful during our stay, can highly recommend this place.
