"Open Space One of Park City 's best attributes is its devotion to preserving open space. The city, in partnership with Summit Land Conservancy, has saved over 6,000 acres from development, and local citizens have bonded $62 million toward the cause. The iconic "White Barn," a.k.a. McPolin Farm, is one such gem - the historic building is preserved for city events, and the surrounding 115 acres are open with mostly paved trails for biking, walking, and cross-country skiing."

Picturesque scenery surrounding the area. Easy paved trail that is perfect for walking, biking, running, etc. Parking is across the street from the big white barn with an underpass to safely access the trail.

Beautiful and relatively easy trail. The farm area has lots of interesting things to look at/in and everything was very easy to traverse. The trail itself is all paved and has only minor inclines, which made it easy to do with a stroller. There are other trails that branch off if you wanted more of a challenge or added hike. Even though there were lots of people out enjoying the farm and trail, it never felt crowded or noisy. I would definitely recommend for anyone with kids, dogs, or anyone who doesn’t want a serious hike.

Great place to step out of the daily grind and breathe the mountain air, listen to crickets, wade in the river and be grateful to be alive!

Beautiful area with parking across the highway, a tunnel under the highway to get to the barn, picnic area, bathrooms/restrooms, and a great 1 mile nature trail! Connects to the bike path. Many wildflowers, birds, butterflies, chipmunks, and prairie dogs. Would recommend for families.

This is a beautiful area, though we didn’t find the loop of the trail to be well marked. Part of it is also along a very busy bike path and some of the bikers were very rude. The farm itself is very nicely preserved. You can see inside buildings with original furnishings and there is a great picnic area with nice restrooms. Cool place to visit!

This was a great trail to walk with the family. The river and bridge in front of the barn are picture perfect. And the plaques along the trail were fun to read and learn the history of the farm.

Yelp
Our first visit to Utah. Sightseeing was at the top of our agenda along with some exercise after spending the previous day traveling! McPolin Farm Hiking Trail was highly recommended! We agree, it was beautiful. Easily accessible & all ours to enjoy on a chilly Sunday morning! It made us wish we were locals!!! Thank you for sharing such a charming & magical place!

Yelp
Loved this easy, pretty hike! McPolin Farm Nature Trail is not too far from the farm. You can take a short hike and walk through the forest and listen to the rustling aspens, see beautiful wildflowers/flowering weeds, and listen to the birds. :) We enjoyed walking around the farmhouse too. It's easy to get to- just park across the street and take the underground tunnel to the farm.

Yelp
This barn area and hike is awe inspiring. Beautiful bridge with babbling creek to cross underground tunnel to get to. Beautiful Americana scenery

Yelp
We loved this gem of a find!!!!!!! Parking is super easy, and a quick tunnel walk under the road brings you to the historic Park City farm. There are plaques all around to explain different parts of the property, so the kids enjoyed learning about the various buildings on site. The creek running along the paved trail was a high point as well as the old farm equipment. We went during fall break (early October for us), and the walkway immediately near the farm was lined with local-decorated scarecrows. Super fun!!!! While we didn't get very far, we did learn that the farm is about 2.1 miles from where we were staying at the Canyons Resorts. Had we known, we totally would have packed a picnic and walked there!!! Next time, we would like to bring bikes. The path is moderately trafficked with people on foot (and with pups!), bikes, and skateboards. Restrooms are located behind the farm (on the walk side) and were clean.

Yelp
E-biked the area on both Saturday and Sunday. Very enjoyable ride throughout the trail and area. Great scenery.
