McSwiggans Steak + Seafood Restaurant

Had a fantastic meal at McSwiggans in Galway! We were a group of three and were all seriously impressed — the meat dishes were absolutely delicious, full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The service was fast and friendly, with staff who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, a great spot for both locals and visitors. Definitely a place I’d return to — highly recommend for anyone looking for quality Irish food in Galway

We had a really nice lunch in here a week ago. The service was really good, the food was tasty, and the restaurant itself is very nice. I had the bacon chop with a delicious sauce, it was really tasty, and the others I was with had the seafood dish which they said was great too. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Absolutely loved this place. The food was superb. Husband had the lamb shank, meat fell right off the bone. I had th 10oz sirloin. Cooked to perfection. Rodrigo, our server, was extremely helpful, friendly, and attentive.

Fine big restaurant with bar area. Food was brilliant. Steak nicest I've had in a long time. Also deserts and sides were lovely. Highly recommend to anyone looking top class Irish food

Came out last night and I can genuinely say the food was 10/10. The only thing we felt odd about was that when it came to the bill, she had asked about gratuity and my friend who was paying, had asked what’s the norm. I personally knew it was 10%, but at the time I hadn’t heard that my friend had asked the waitress the question. So when my friend comes to me saying that the waitress said it’s 20%, I knew she was definitely trying to play us because she could tell we were American. So just be warey about that also that it’s pretty costly, we paid about $310 USD, but the food and drinks were 10/10.

The steaks here are so good and very much worth the visit for. The staff was really friendly and helpful with their service. Great stop for food and drinks if you find yourself in Galway.

Tonight was our second night in Galway. McSwiggans was absolutely delicious! We started with the calamari lightly breaded with a delicious aoli, oysters Rockefeller and the bruschetta. My son and his girlfriend had there first dry aged steak. It was amazing and prepared beautifully. My youngest also had a steak they all chose the garlic butter as there finish from 3 options. All three had a different side dish from a salad, fries and cheesy mashed potatoes. The cheesey mashed potatoes failed. Tasted as if the cheese was forgotten. We have all forgot something. I had the Duck which was perfectly moist and tender. My fiancee had the leg of lamb which literally fell off the bone. Would totally come again next time we are out this way. If your in the mood for an amazingly well prepared aged steak this is the place to go!! all service was also on point and the place is huge which you would not know when walking up to it. Great atmosphere delicious meal.

Went here with a friend last Wednesday. She had the chicken pie, and I had hake with mashed potatoes instead of chips. The portions were large and the quality excellent. My friend had a glass of Merlot and I a water. The service was excellent from both the Spanish and Polish waitresses. The total came to 50.65€ very good value for the quality. We will be back, and I highly recommend
